If you watch Myth Busters, they did an episode where they set up several shelving units of china inside an enclosure, and let several bulls out of their pen and into the enclosure. Contrary to popular belief, not one piece of china was broken, or even touched by the bulls. They really are careful animals!
It's so heartwarming seeing people treat a bison with genuine love and care for a change. Too much poor cattle are imprisoned and abused for chain dairy and meat so this is something really special to see. After finding out years ago how loving, intelligent, and affectionate cows, bison, and buffalo etc are I vowed never to eat beef or consume non certified human dairy.
OK.... but tell the truth , if someone fried a juicy , fresh steak , and if you were very hungry ... would that steak smell delicious to you ? Would you love to eat it ?
+Saturn Hate to say it, but it doesn't matter what you own or look like, if they wanna bully you, they will. Just live every day the way you want, they're going to hate on it anyway if they choose to. Often, the "popular kids" are praised for having a pink backpack, but when you wear it, it's stupid. Same will happen with a buffalo. If the "cool kids" have them, it's epic. If another kid has them, they 'smell like shit' or 'hey how's your mom the buffalo, buffalo-dipshit.' You cannot influence being bullied, is all I'm saying. Be yourself and enjoy life and be kind, that's all.
Whild thing is one thing, you train him and make him comfortable around the family, but it takes a special kind of stupid to get way to close to actual wild bison and take some pictures with your damn backs turned.
Sadly, that's a trend in Yellowstone. People even do that with black bears, and those have predatory behavior! Honestly, I think it's a mix of stupid and having no fear (like a dodo). In my personal experience, i'm terrified of some animals. I saw lions in an enclosure, and I was so scared. How could someone approach a fudging BISON!?
I think that due to living in modern society, most people simply don't realize how dangerous animals can be. It's kinda like lacking street smarts, only, it's wild smarts they're lacking. Don't know if I'm right though.
I grew up with a family 'pet' bison, he definitely doesn't come in the house but he's always chilling with us right next to the balcony and my dad use to regularly nap with him in the barn, and I can't imagine being stupid enough to EVER approach one in the wild.
I'm from the UK and would love to see Wild Thing walking around the tiny houses we have here LOL. I'm amazed at how delicate Wild Thing is as he walks around the house though, it's almost like he's specifically making sure he proves the "bull in a china shop" quote isn't true and they actually make excellent house pets! I love the USA and it is for reasons like this! The mavericks and independent mindset makes for some fascinating scenarios.
One of my favorite animals on the American continent. So tough, so imposing, so graceful, beautiful animals that absolutely enjoy our protection. Beautiful video

I’m confused. They have a pet buffalo and they seem to like him, but there’s literally a decapitated head on their wall. I’m getting some kind of psychopathic message here.
He mentioned they had a herd before, so my guess is that head belonged to one of the older males of that herd. Perhaps Wild Things head will be up there later once the big boy passes. Nothing wicked or hypocritical about it.
I love how gentle he is knowing that in the wild, they can be fierce and have the power of locomotive. As an animal lover I would consider it a blessing to meet this big fellow in person. I wonder if the floors sag and creak when he walks through the house?
He's cute, but there's absolutely no way I'd let a bison in my house...Imagine the droppings or damages. Still tho he's a beautiful animal and it looks like he's well taken care of and seems to be well trained as to not do the two things mentioned above.

It's pretty incredible how careful the bison is tiptoeing around the house.
Yeah, until he gets pissed and knocks a wall out or kills the owners.

The difference is in spelling and pronunciation. Like orca versus killer whale etc.
PS : Lawyer versus catfish.... one is a bottom feeder mudsucker while the other is a fish❗️
