This video is absolute gold. I really enjoy Session View for jamming and brainstorming different ideas but didn't know how to take it further than that. Arrangement View is obviously better for fine tuning your track and creating transitions but its quite tedious for coming up with an initial idea in a way that feels organic (especially just using a mouse). Looks like this is the perfect workflow for me, thanks! Will definitely be checking out some of your production suite packs as well, looks like a great way to learn the software while still feeling like you're achieving something of substance. You have a great ear for sounds.
I do it all the same... It's much more creative to produce using the Session view, to make quick sketches of the 8 bar loop. And then print it out in the arrangement view... Greetings from Spain!
Thanks a ton. As a recent convert to Live from Studio One, this vid was exactly what I needed to better understand how Live's 2 composing environments work together. Thank you!
Hammer.
yup session view takes some time before old work flow habits are gone! Got this tip a while back from a pro producer during a private masterclass But like i said sometimes it takes more time before old work habits are out of your system :P and nonetheless for some session will work for others it won't and they still keep working in arrangement view
oh and just one thing that is important! don't forget to turn of loop mode, because i had some live jam sessions and was expecting it would be recorded, but it was only 16bars and the rest was gone lost some of my best sessions because of this freaking loop
My two top things about the session view which absolutely suck: a) you can't edit audio (in Bitwig you can even load several audio files in one clip and edit them) b) you don't see clip playback progress in each playing clip. The rest is quite good, as we can see in your vid. :)
I have an important question that nobody seems to explain properly. Which sounds should be in mono and which in stereo ? Kick, bass, and drums are in mono for example ?

I found your channel recently and I am really enjoying your sample pack Tulum. It's smooth and exciting.
@@Note_Creator Thank you! :))

Interesting, I'm always wondering if I'm going into the arrangement view too early or too late - there may not be a right answer.

Tripped me up plenty of times 😢
I cant frickin figure out session view. Absolutely driving me nutzzzzo. Hope this helps! I JUST want to bring in a sound after i stop it!

Highlight Tracks -> CMD + SHIFT + I . Enjoy!
Are you able to do lessons using fl studio also❤?
I have an important question that nobody seems to explain properly. Which sounds should be in mono and which in stereo ?
Kick, bass, and drums are in mono for example ?
128 bpm ? amazing videos !
yo yo kevin
do some stuff with suby 37
The biggest concern using samples everybody uses … it creates a all the same music in this genre
What is on your mind on that??? ❣️
. what would you do without samples ? This is cheating man, not creating...
Some of the most iconic songs of all time are mostly sample-based. There are no rules, only results.
