Used 4'x6' and 4'x8' horse stall mats from the local Coastal (supply) store in garage and basement. Definitely a workout getting it done, but works great!!! I use a leaf blower in the garage and regular vacuum for the basement... no issues since install about 5-years ago

What a work out getting them done for sure! They are heavy and hard to shift around. Yes mine have held up well for many years. They are extremely durable. Thanks for watching!

My wife & I are getting ready to move into a rental house that has a finished basement. The basement has a large living area that we plan to use as our home gym instead. It currently has LVP flooring in this area. Can this flooring be placed directly on top of LVP or should there be some type of barrier between the two? If so, what would you recommend using as that barrier? As always, thanks for the great videos! Fellow Carolinian here too!

Packaging: It came in a sturdy rectangular cardboard box that said Yoga on it. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxZkaD2JsPC-fUMkF3vxJ2echoiXZ3T9aM I didn't like how it let possible package thieves know what might be contained inside but great packaging otherwise. The yoga mat came rolled up in a plastic wrap, which was fairly easy to remove.Contents: I got the green yoga mat and it came with an adjustable velcro carrying strap already secured to the mat. There was also a warranty card. There was a bit of a plastic smell coming form the yoga mat but it quickly dissipated after using it once.I've only used the yoga mat twice so far but I am loving it. It's such a game changer to my work outs, especially compared to my bed and floor, haha! I can confirm that it very thick, slip resistant, and comfortable. i didn't look at the dimensions prior to buying the mat, but it is so much longer than I expected! Width is normal size in my opinion. I don't know if it really is tear resistant yet... only time will tell!

Great video as always. What made you decide to install a gym in this house? Is this one for you, a friend, or a request from the buyer? Are gyms a popular feature in your area? Or is this just something you're trying?
Also, maybe this is a weird question, but you obviously do a lot of heavy lifting while building houses. Do you work out, or have you simply gradually built strength working on the job?

Thank you! I used to have to commute to the gym, but I decided to start building workout rooms in my houses that I live in. I do work out with weights about three times a week to maintain my strength. I try to hit the
core lifts. Yes, construction definitely keeps me and shape as well. Hope that helps!

Has anyone laid the mats down directly on carpet? That is what I am contemplating. I have a carpeted 11' x 12' room with new carpet. Our home is new construction - 2 years old.

I would not recommend laying this over an existing soft surface floor, your joints will not stay flat and cause a safety hazard, particularly if you are using less than 1/2" thick material.

I did this in my basement only to take it out. It became soaked with moisture.

      The rubber soaked up moisture?

@@TheExcellentLaborer pulled moisture thru the cement. My house was built in 59 so I assume there is no vapor barrier just dirt under the cement.

If you are watching a video by a "professional" installing on concrete and they aren't talking at all about testing for moisture first, I would take pause and reflect on whether you should continue to take their advice.
