I have the 202 in 30-06 walnut stock and that 505 is sexy AF what an elegant rifle, regardless of brand snobbery anyone who works the bolt of a sig sauer are shocked on how smooth they are 👌🏻
What a gorgeous rifle! Have been looking forward to this review.
Great review, just ordered a 505 xt synchro in 308 there today
Great review....what a beautiful rifle. That moderator is working well too.
1:25 that group will do nicely! Great review Chris
It's nice when it's not windy or raining for a change😂
Great review as usual. What a beautifully made rifle. Lovely groups.
I seen the 505 ergolux today at the British shooting show, I must say it was beautiful, probably the slickest bolt I have ever cycled. Possibly the nicest bolt action available
They are nice! What else did you like?
Hello Chris, best review available on the internet; based on your experience I tried and ordered 505 SXT. You should ask Sauer for your share... ;-)
Luv the Scope Saddle mount System , Great Rife '' Thanks Chris 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Nice review .That scope is so high off that rifle you would be shaking like hell stretching your neck trying to look through it?? Needs a regular scope with some low rings
Agree
The Sauer mounts had not arrived in the UK by the time this video this was made so I had to use an available Blaser mount supplied with the rifle. I agree with you although, you do stay clear of any possible reflections off the moderator. The Blaser, not Sauer scope mount is also explained in the video if you watch again
Yes, this one is actually not too bad if compared to the bulk of the scoped rifles you usually would come across, whileI was apprenticing & later on gunsmithing overthere during my younger years! This was specially so in the case of the older traditional rifles like M98’s or combination-guns, fitted with hook-/swing-mounts, who could be literally as high as 6-8” above bore-line, which was pretty much standard procedure back in the days!
Thanks for the interesting review.
Really nice rifle. Thank you for sharing.
Excellent, excellent review!
nice review mate, T bags needed here..... remember me?
Great review Chris nice rifle great accuracy too 👍
Great Video here.
By the way, isn‘ this the new Blaser B2 3-18x50 and would you be reviewing it, please? Thanks!
Great video erm not having used or see those blaster mounts is there any way you can show how to mount them to a scope thanks
The one in the video is a rail mount, ring fittings are also available
this man has the weirdest bag set up. four parallel elongated bags?
that was a cool bag from Champion actually and sadly, a few days later, I ripped it after many years of fine service sadly
Great review ! Anyone bothered to measure the max COAL the magazine can hold ? I am talking specifically for .308 Winchester.
Hope it's not gonna end up like some Sako's with their "tailored" caliber classes, which most of the time force the bullet to be pushed way too much into the case....😑
Hi Chris. Great video. Will the Sauer 505 come with build in silencer like the Sauer 404 has in carbon?
yes
Would you recommend the Sauer 505 as a first allround rifle for a new (fresh / unexperianced) hunter?
Great review…. what is the wood grade on your rifle?
Wood Grades 02 to 10.
Looking at the pricing I would be torn between the syncro XT poly and a Sako 95 Quest??? 🤔
I assume you mean the 90 Quest? You best buy one of each to avoid disappointment!
amazing can i ask about wood grade on your rifle
I think it is a grade 5
Chris how would you say this compares to the 404? I’m confused on how the new model is cheaper than the old, this would appear that it’s less quality? I seen it at the show this weekend, and was really impressed on how elegant and smooth it was. Just confused with pricing
The bolt head on the 404 can be swapped, but it can't be on the 505. I am sure they saved a lot of machining time as a result, allowing Sauer to change the price significantly.
Mounts seem a little high
theyare and all that was available when the gun was loaaned to me a day after it's officiaal launch
how much with the walnut stock? 3,200 Euros ~$3,500. Where do I buy one?
consult your local dealer
@@chrisparkin431 I contacted the company and they put me in touch with dealer I had done business before.
Which silencer is that?
Sauer 505 vs, Sako 90 .... what do you think?
Now that is the question! We will need both guns again and a full weekend for this kind of fun. What are your thoughts?
Sauer 404 for the win
I think it would be a close match. Bouth rifles are top "guns" but I would say that Sako 90 comes out on top:) @@GunMartTV
@@nemanjarasula1599 old hat now the probolems are solved
of course sauer, it's a no-brainer. I've own multiple guns from both brands.
If you lose the barrel and mount the barrel agin The rifle hold zero?
If you lose the barell you won't be shooting at all😢
Hi. I own a Sauer 202 having more or less same barrel assembly. Can confirm it holds zero perfect after barrel re-assembly. (Which I read is your question). Happy hunting 👍
Hi, what grade walnut stock is that?
You can expect wood stocks with grade 2 - 10 walnut
The optic ,...blaser?
Blaser Group owns Sauer, Mauser, Rigby and so on. Alot of people doesn't seem to know that.
@@Snurker haa 👍 ok sorry
Greed, or utter stupidity, by not offering this rifle with integral picatinny bases as an option.
