Great video and review Chris I enjoyed this nice neat rifle too had a sako a few years ago liked it it was in 6mm ppc9 great accuracy aswell cheers mate
Nice review Chris. A couple of questions: What is the weight of the peak compared to the adventure? Outside of the carbon fiber stock and forend, any major differences between the peak and the adventure? Thank you!
I am a littlebit troubled choosing between the Sako 90 Peak, Sauer 505 xt and the Sauer 101 xtc. Mainly because Sako 90 is not offered in 30-06, witch I am quit used too, 308 win and 6,5 Creed are of cours an option but I have a long good and tried relationship with the 30-06 so ??
My wife and I run 3 different 85's on our 6000 acre bull stud and red/fallow deer farm as hunting rifles for pleasure, as opposed to other firearm types for culling/control work. I have just taken possession of a 90 series Hunter in 300WM, and have to say, I am disappointed that Sako have dropped the controlled round feed bolt face in this new model. There was nothing wrong with the ejector system of the past, and we haven't ever had any trouble with the earlier system, and it really did work perfectly well, even for guests that borrowed these rifles for hunting. I suppose some people can make anything misfeed though. The new dual-ejector boltface looks like the ones on the two TRG's we have, in .300WM and 338Lap. Disappointing also that even with the lowest Sako ringmounts, the scope objective cannot be mounted as low to the barrel as we could on the 85's. Even higher are the Optilock separate base/extra-low ring sets. Hopefully Leupold will eventually offer their superb, simple and strong "ringmounts" to suit the 17mm straight dovetails on the 90, and also the Tikka.
I am interested in cold-bore shots I found that almost all groups shot in tube videos had some shots prior to the group shooting resulting in nice groups which does not depict the results you'd see in reality when going out with a sighted in rofle printing a 5 shot group.

Thanks Chris can't wait to see the mod. Adventure
Hopefully, we can get our hands on some of the other variants

Ejection was the QC problem. The bolt handle is now a separate piece, it's just cost-cutting.
Hard to go wrong with Sako that’s for certain , how would you compare this fine rifle with the Mauser M12 Impact ?
Just purchased a Sako 90 in 30-06 hunter version, amazingly accurate rifle. My highest recommendation!
Man that looks sweet!!
Good review i have 3 model 75's would love one of them new ones..
Nice review Chris. A couple of questions:
What is the weight of the peak compared to the adventure?

Thank you!
Hey Chris, awesome review and even better shooting👍👍. Quick question, what kind of bipod is that?
Freakin' audio levels all over the place!
