He is certainly up there! And this match against Borg is one of the most beautiful ones I have seen. And it´s not just Taylor.. there is something about Borg´s game in those early days that I find aesthetically more pleasing than in his later years. I don´t know, but it could be that his rackets were not strung quite as hard as of yet, and thus his volleying looked a bit smoother..
I found this wonderful moment when Roger Taylor nobly overruled call of chair umpire on his own ace (last point of the match!) and serve 2nd ... and got back to the deuce ... etc in the official film "Wimbledon 1973 official film" , there used to be a link, but not anymore... if I find something I will share ... best moment in history of tennis... vivat to the mostly noble knight of tennis Roger Taylor...
this was 1973,the year of the player's strike. Roger Taylor was one of the players that didn't boycott.
What happens towards the end of the match? Usually, one or the other player wins, and the the player that doesn't win, loses.
Borg finest player calm & cool, secret of the game, Feddera exquisite player
Borg, so young already so good, darn near beat Taylor here.
Legeng,Pioneer Borg 1973-1981.
Roger Taylor is the most beautiful left-handed Tennis player in history.

Beautiful service action.
One of the most beautiful left handed British losers ever!!
@@fundhund62 Definitely agree. Borg's game became more rigid as he got older.
Best chance Taylor had of winning Wimbledon but a rain delay upset his concentration in the semi final against Kodes.
Have you got the end of this match please?

Who win the Match ??
Taylor didn't lose and Bjorn didn't win! For some reason they couldn't agree to a draw!
Taylor won the match
No seats for the players, I see.
