I really like watching Lithium reviews. I feel he's not biased at all, shows the deck going both 1st and 2nd, plays against meta decks and all.. Very nice deck with good protection against Nibiru but as seen it might struggle to break boards. Can't wait for more iterations.
@@vehicledestroyer agreed, but I was mainly talking about the Tri-brigade game: they struggled vs. Multiple negation Apollousa. Some decks can bait 1 negate then run over her by battle but most of their monsters are high levels. I know he won in the end but if his opp topped any Tri- monster it would've been over.
Therion is what Koaki Meru wants to be, but actually good and functional while not too reliant on their main spell as it works fine without it, just less recursion. It just lacks a good starter besides lonefire at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if they get a themed lonefire like Generaiders did. This deck will see play mainly as a engine since it's splashable. I even use the omni negate, lily, field spell, and cross in a sunavalon plant deck, and it works wonders.
I imagine that since Ecclesia got a form to support Swordsoul, Kitt might get one too to support Therions, it might even be in this set and it just wasn't revealed yet, same as with Incredible Ecclesia the Virtuous. I remember that card was revealed when Burst of Destiny got released in the OCG, not alongside the rest of the Swordsoul cards.
Gamma also feels at first glance like an auto include in this deck. You have the lonefire, field spell and the “orcust return” spell to bait ash and drolls. Regulus can also bait opposing gammas or bait negations going second if you dont control any monsters. Something like activate regulus, opp chains fleur, then you chain gamma.
About some plays: @1:25 Regulus should have negated that Shaddoll Fusion, because just like Ash it negates the effect, so you would prevent an other one from activating (Savage negates activations) Also i believe Sky Striker had that game (depends on the extra deck and if they play any charmer links) while the Tri-b also had it if they were very aggressive (DDL + Apo + Omen into 6300 Access, Omen search Kit since Nerval is under CBTG, then normal summon Kit, use her effect and gg) I hope you don't mind this notes, i write in order to give feedback, not criticize the outcome.
This deck seems so cool. I don't think I'd run the combo heavy variant, but a control one, maybe even with TCBOO. Every card is an extender and every card has a good effect. Few times I have seen so much potential.
I think a side deck super poly for going second wouldn’t be too bad, as it is searchable with cobra and allows for much easier board break potential, especially due to the amount of room in the extra deck.
3x Rose Bell of Revelation + 3x Rose Paladin + 3x Trade-In + PsyFrame Gamma package feels a lot more consistent to me. Ive never not found a way to Lily out of 10+ opening hands, Gamma takes care of baited hand traps when activating either Lonefire, a draw spell, or the field and is Duke fodder, Paladin is Eins fodder... it all feels cohesive.
I kind of wish Therions exist in this format, mostly because I've tested them with Ursarctics and HOLY MOLY. The Ursarctic Septetrion just turns off 50 to 70% of deck engines that rely on Link and Xyz plays, the Therions handle the Hand traps and power plays while the Ursarctic Level 8 Hand Traps chokes the opponent down. Killed Tri-brigade, Bird Up, PK, and any other deck that relies on Dragoon/Phoenix Enforcer as a last ditch play by using Anaconda (unless they just activate the Fusion Spell and I have no negate for it).
Unpopular opinion: I really like how the Theirons are generic and splash able on certain monster's type. Not many people will agree on this but it will help rogue decks
"Splashable" and "rogue" don't go together all that well. As long as some cards/engines have some level of relevancy, they become meta (these cards remain to be seen).
Seeing Lily used in Plant Decks, or Regulus in Machine Decks is probably one of the best thing about this Deck, but they'll definitely won't be used to *only* support their Type... If anything, the existence of Lonefire and Pathfinder will make them usable in any Deck, and of course, only because you get a free negate.
Ok, so therion's are cracked. But I recommend taking out the predaplant and hero stuff tbh. I play the deck pure with a bunch of hand traps, including gamma. I still play lonefire because that's an insane normal summon to grab the plant guy, and gamma helps make sure that goes off. The only brick in the deck is driver, which really helps out consistency. The deck can consistently end on the earth + water therion with the wind equipped, that backed up by handtraps can usually get you through the turn and after that you should just win with the amount of advantage your cards generate.
Deck is really insane as a sub engine and pure. Konami hit the nail on the head with Swordsouls and Therion support right from the start, while Despia had a rocky start until the Albaz Structure deck improved it, same with Tri getting more cards little by little like Kitt and such. If celestial gets banned over Fusion Destiny will you still run Enforcer? And if Fusion Destiny does get banned, what cards will you substitute it for?
@@pellunderscore Spyral Resort also gives not irrelevant protection (not once per turn either) and searches every single turn. The Field spell could've been a normal spell and nothing of value would be lost.
@@JABRIEL251 I would give a solid 90% of the time, SPYRAL Resort doesn't stay on the board to protect anything anymore, but yeah, S-Force is just poorly designed.
Maybe because it copy monster 'name effect' not effect only in the text. Very simple comparison for example is anaconda. Anaconda only said the effect become the card that it send to grave. So it only copy the effect and bypass the restriction Meanwhile the therion cards have additional clause that said ,"gains........... the 2nd effect of this card’s name." And dont forget " You can only use the 1st and 2nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn." Hope this help you
Most likely correct. What I see the way it copy effect is worded differently from other copy-effect card that exist. For example: Therions have unique clause that said "A “Therions” monster equipped with this card gains 700 ATK and the 2nd effect of this card’s name." It say 'this card's name' which include the name of the card for activating the effect which then applied under the following rule. "You can only use the 1st and 2nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn" Meanwhile card like zoodiac ratpier only has these clause " An Xyz Monster whose original Type is Beast-Warrior and has this card as Xyz Material gains this effect. ●Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 "Zoodiac Ratpier" from your hand or Deck" Or anaconda which can bypass card restriction cause it only copy the effect, the effect "become" the effect of the card send by it effect. Looks like brave, therion, destiny hero and branded engines will dominate 2022 unless there are some balance changes, at this rate even banning verte or scythe won't do much of anything. I think the meta decks will consist of a combination of these engines plus a generically good main archetype like predaplant, pk, eldlich or invoked.
