Cedar Creek Falls Trails | San Diego's Best Waterfall 2024 加州

Come along for our journey at Cedar Creek Falls Trail, a protected section of the semi-arid chaparral ecosystem in San Diego.
The trail includes a backdrop of the San Diego River Gorge and adventurers are treated to panoramic views en route to the majestic 80 feet tall Cedar Creek Falls, a cascade plummeting into a crystalline swimming pool below.
Venturing along the trail, hikers may encounter unexpected challenges, including numerous river crossings. Yet, with nimble steps and careful balance, we navigated the slippery rocks, skillfully avoiding dipping our toes into the still chill but refreshing waters of the San Diego River.
Access to this trail requires a permit! Securing a permit is a straightforward process via Recreation.gov, where visitors select their desired date and group size.
Weekdays offer a more relaxed experience, as weekends draw larger crowds.
With only 75 groups permitted daily, comprising up to five individuals each, the trail maintains a sense of exclusivity, making it feel like a hidden gem, especially if you're early.
