Yes It worked I haven't came across such situation truly as I measure them and take my time to not get ot wrong .But this one was an experiment and it failed. Thankyou so much for watching ☺️ ❤️
Thanks for sharing. We all have the occasional disaster and this is a really helpful tip - molds and shapes molds are sooo gorgeous you wouldn’t want to lose it!
You have saved my life! I had 4 cups of resin in a 4 cup measuring cup! Too much product but i was having some yellowing so i thought i would try a large sphere but i over filled the sphere not leaving enough room to expand. Ended up with a ruined sphere mold and “the BLOB”. I had made some beautiful flower coasters and bottle openers: Two days later, still a sticky mess! Cant wait to get these disasters into the freezer! Thank you so much! Waste of dried flowers but will save my molds. Where do you get your molds?
Thank u for posting this! I had a whole batch of 1:2 ratio mix that didn't cure & in several different brand new moulds. I've been just letting it sit for weeks, not quite sure what I was gonna do w it & sick of having it just sit in limbo, I decided to look for help. Just popped mine in freezer... Hopefully this works for me too!!!🤞
Thank you very much! I am totally new to all this and when i discovered that my project was still sticky and runny i was afraid i was going to have to throw all my molds in the garbage.
thanks I thought id have to dump my mould but if my cast does not set in 24hrs i will freeze as you discribed and hopefuly i can save my expensive mould thanks again
Hi Pam yes it was such a relief. Yes what at that time I didn't noticed was hardner also I was actually doing an experiment on mixing different company resins that were actually left overs .So it failed I think.
@@the.resintist Hi Mark I know these dyes very well this happened for few reasons 1 my resin was around 4 years old . 2. I was experimenting with resins leftover from different brands and mixing them thinking that I am now a resin pro and everything will be alright 🤣🤣🤣
@@the.resintist I remember when I did my second round of resin crafts and placed in acrylic paint; I had a gooey mess. I’m not sure how best to use acrylics in resin?
@@teaandart Ooooo, I understand now. Please remind me, what’s the best way to preserve silicon molds. I was wincing seeing your expensive mold, then saw the resin squish…. Accidents are expensive, yet learning about them is helpful.
Great video! To sad for the coaster, it was pretty. I liked it, when it had the indents in it... 🥴. I think it's important, to show, that we are making mistakes, too! And than show, if it can be fixed... ☺️
Thankyou so much yes I learned after being comfortable because of all the generous people I met on RUclips that we should share all the wrongs also as a lot of people go through this ❤️ 😊 ♥️
@@teaandart thanks for responding,I tried to make rehal( Quaran holder , book holder) I mix 1:1 ratio more then 3 minutes and pour on mold but it’s been 20 days , it didn’t cure. Where was my mistake and which epoxy resin should I buy from Amazon? I live in USA n buy everything from Amazon. Please please please help , and how should I remove that epoxy from my mold ? Freeze it ?
@alishanoor9468 Yes, you need to first pack it really well with plastic wrap. Before putting in a freezer, it will do the job. As for epoxy, you are in USA there are so many options few resins I have shared ,let's resin is good, and then I recommend craft resin ,teexpert these all are good resins. This sounds like a mixing issue or ratio was not right .Which resin were you using if you don't mind telling me ☺️. Please note that when you're mixing resin, make sure it's mixed properly. Sometimes, it takes 5-6 minutes to mix .When you're mixing slowly, observe the resin. There should be no foggy lines it should be clear . Scrap the sides of the cups when mixing. Sadly, if it is that much time, resin will not cure now .
@@teaandart I bought teexpert and dr something resin , I mixed it well but yes I will follow the rule you just explained.thank you so much 🙏🏻😊 I really really appreciate your time.and for ratio I followed the step as well I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ my bad luck may be .
Yes I have saved my moulds by freezing them. Like you, I went and got a really messy uncured one out of the trash and saved the mould.

Does it work for any kind of molds that the resin is stuck in it
Yes, any mold, but make sure to wrap it up .It should be covered all.
How long do u leave it in the freezer ?
@@alyshastoos I give it 24 hours .
Ok but will the mold actually work in the next casting or is it chemically poisoned?
The mold is perfect, and I used it many times ☺️
@@teaandart Thank you
Oh, what a pity... it was so lovely.
Sadly it was a loss but I manato save my mold 😁😁😁😁.

How to fix sticky and tacky resin
You can't fix it if it isn't curing you just to just start over at that point
My resin is soft sticky and tacky even after 24hrs
