You could pick your starting weapons and masks, and then it was a race to hide crime scene evidence and all that, survive the time limit. @@ryan-paxton It depends, if the cop team had a good unit and knew how to shoot with the pump action or pistol, they were a force to be reckoned with. Especially if they are together like a nun’s knees. The best thing the bums could do is use molotovs on them or try to catch them off guard and make them split so you can ambush them. Here's hoping they remaster the original on PC and release this one on PC as well... And with controller support. This series plays much better with a controller.
Iread an interview from a dev' from Monolith who said that somebody from Sega told them to create a multiplayer mode because the marketing did a study and said that they would sell more games and this is the reason why they were not able to get a single player campaign as good as the one from the first.
I had played the first one when I was a teenager on a local internet Cafe, even finished and that time it had really blown my mind, the atmosphere, the combat, the story it was all so unique and great. When the 2nd one came out and played it I really loved it, the punching addition, Ethan's evolution from the first game, even bought it years after, the goo parts though were absolutely annoying
This is one of my favorite series and when I watch the original video you made I was a bit surprised at your opinion but I enjoyed the video all the same. @@bamban_garcia5562 oh great it’s another one of those “we refuse to do anything with this so nobody gets to do anything with this” moments in gaming history. HOORAY!! everybody loses!
It's a shame how this game never got a pc port! while it's stuck on the PlayStation 3 and xbox 360! which I always will find it a shame to see games like this one. Still end up being stuck on older game consoles that never get newer ports for the newer consoles and even pc also! while the only way you can get to play those Games is with emulator which sucks though.. like I honestly wish I got to play this game back when I still would have play on the ps3 before and even got to discover This game in the stores.
I have to say that I like the fact that you time stamp your sponsor spots, thank you for that. Why don't anyone else do it? Keep up the good work Gman.
I love condemned 2, I feel like the jank fits into the setting nicely. However I agree that C2 suffers from the "let's explain everything in the sequel syndrome" which kind of ruins the horror aspect of the game. Oh and we should also mention how much the game suffered because Warner brothers wanted a mandatory multiplayer complement, so they split the team in half to get it done.
Was just thinking about the condemned series today, especially the marketing with all the pictures of smashed up mannequins. Loved them both even if 2 shit the bed story wise near the end. Would love to see a continuation or revival.
Be careful what you wish for. With WB at the helm, the story will probably be more distracting than it is good, and the gameplay even more on the action side.
Nothing in this world has provided me with such fear like walking through any level of this game. I still have PTSD from the bear chase especially because I grew up seeing them in my backyard often.
I remember beating this game back in high school. I rented it numerous times for its cops and crackheads style multiplayer mode it had. I tried several times to get through the story, but I'd always seemingly give up as I never understood the parry system too well. I eventually got a hang of the mechanics and beat the game. The levels that actually required you to shoot through them were hands down some of the weakest points and actually some of the weakest in terms of the Monolith engine itself. But everything else, the eerie horror, melee and 'occasional', gunfight and ambience was generally great. This game has never once left my mind. Steam grab this title please!
I shall grant all of you your wishes for a Condemned 3! But: >No ties to the original story >A forced in multiplayer component that’s done by a different studio >A new game engine that the studio has problems developing with it so everything will be slow and janky. And finally >Two hour long campaign with the ending coming in a two part DLC, The second of which will be canceled so there will be no true ending. 🎩 🐍 no step on snek! 🇭🇰🇺🇸
Sounds typical for WB Games and AAA gaming in general. They already forced the multiplayer crap in with Condemned 2. At this point, we need an indie or AA spiritual successor. AAA gaming is just too corrupt and greedy to count on.

Supposedly there was gonna be DLC for the multiplayer but they decided against it since they knew it wouldn’t pop off. Really underrated. I wish it was backwards on Xbox one/series
Anyways, I have a dedicated discord for the multiplayer and we play from time to time. If you have a 360 or PS3 lying around we can play it.
I remember playing condemned one when it came out. It looked amazing for a console at the time. Condemned 2 isn't that bad. I enjoyed it.
Also I love off the goddamn rails. Give me weird shit.
Legit one of the last truly scary games, I thought. Played the demo on X360 when it came out and I remember being reluctant to go towards the sounds of the homeless guy when your partner and that cop leave you by yourself. Great game.
I'd been trying for the longest time to remember what the name of this game was, thank you! I really enjoyed it when it came out.
Love how even your ad reads are just YOU. Loving the vid so far, Gman
This game feels like manhunt and the chronicles of Riddick mixed with saw, silent hill, resident evil 7+8
AND DEAD ISLAND!!!
One of my absolute favorite series. Man, that cliffhanger needs to be resolved with Half Life 3 levels of required urgency
I feel a new condemned title would lend it's self well to VR. Imagine fighting people with pipes in dingy apartment complexes in VR.
This game is so criminally underrated, one of the best games I ever have played.
I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I'm still waiting for the PC port. Hopefully Nightdive Studios will release a ported version on Steam.
Here's hoping they remaster the original on PC and release this one on PC as well... And with controller support. This series plays much better with a controller.
No please just no. We seriously need to drastically reduce the number of remasters it's been old for awhile but it's reaching absurd levels now
The original is on steam
Iread an interview from a dev' from Monolith who said that somebody from Sega told them to create a multiplayer mode because the marketing did a study and said that they would sell more games and this is the reason why they were not able to get a single player campaign as good as the one from the first.
The condemned series is super underrated IMO. I’d love to see a third game someday
10:05 here I was wondering if you were gonna include any Tourettes Guy soundbites in this video, but as usual, you delivered.
I see now this feels more like what I felt like. There is just something about this series that pulls you in and for whatever reason its just a memorable set of games. Either way I enjoy your videos even if I dont agree with all the points, they are well made and entertaining.
Will there be an fps retrospective this year?
Probably not. There hasn't been many to talk about.
I always thought it was a crying shame that this never got a proper PC release.
I'm mad to this day.

Never thought Schwacked would come back.
Come back lol when did it leave?
the fact that this still never made it to PC is astounding to me. time to call up Nightdive studios.
Monolith Studios & by extension Warner Brothers Interactive will not sell their IP to another rival company
Still end up being stuck on older game consoles that never get newer ports for the newer consoles and even pc also! while the only way you can get to play those
Games is with emulator which sucks though.. like I honestly wish I got to play this game back when I still would have play on the ps3 before and even got to discover
This game in the stores.
To see a remaster of both games with a VR mode would be sick.
We need a condemned 3 and Man Hunt 3.
we also need Condemned 2 & Manhunt 2 on Steam and GOG.
I have to say that I like the fact that you time stamp your sponsor spots, thank you for that. Why don't anyone else do it? Keep up the good work Gman.
These games need remasters please!
Your editing on this one is on another level bro 👍
I love condemned 2, I feel like the jank fits into the setting nicely.
However I agree that C2 suffers from the "let's explain everything in the sequel syndrome" which kind of ruins the horror aspect of the game. Oh and we should also mention how much the game suffered because Warner brothers wanted a mandatory multiplayer complement, so they split the team in half to get it done.
Multiplayer was good though
I like how Ethan looks like he works the register at a Hot Topic.
Fuck yeah this is what I'm talking about!!! Been waiting for you to review this one.
7:30 TF2 update confirmed

Those mum jokes you put in nonchalently are golden ;D
You got good editing skills too ;)

*Your* hands are covered in *their* blood.*
Fixed that for you.
Really like these longer, more detailed reviews. Kinda like to see more
I had so much fun with the crime scene online mode back on the xbox 360.
this is my favorite condemned.. is so underated. and that bear level its just perfect lol
First game was vague and unsettling
Second game was edgy and explained literally everything
You’d think that after the success of Resident Evil 7 that it would have been a no brainer to bring this series back.
I shall grant all of you your wishes for a Condemned 3!
But:
>No ties to the original story
>A forced in multiplayer component that’s done by a different studio
>A new game engine that the studio has problems developing with it so everything will be slow and janky.
And finally
>Two hour long campaign with the ending coming in a two part DLC, The second of which will be canceled so there will be no true ending.

🐍 no step on snek! 🇭🇰🇺🇸
Sounds typical for WB Games and AAA gaming in general.
They already forced the multiplayer crap in with Condemned 2.
At this point, we need an indie or AA spiritual successor. AAA gaming is just too corrupt and greedy to count on.
Now I want a game that is Outlast 1 meets Condemned 1,
with a dash of Fear 1 and Manhunt 1.
I remember Edge magazine calling this "a nasty demented piece of work"
That was the smoothest ad transition I’ve ever seen in my life
The protagonist of this game looks like a scrapped design for a character youre just extremely glad didn't go anywhere
