- As a young mother of 3, Joanna's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with advanced staged lung cancer.
This is how the 31-year-old non-smoker beat cancer with an uncanny optimism, and the support of her husband and main caretaker, Nicholas.

There are good things to learn from this video. When diagnosed with any cancer:
1) embrace it. Not deny it. The sooner you embrace the cancer, the sooner you can take appropriate action.
2) trust the science, trust the fight. Many cancers have established ways to treat. Embrace the fight and go for the fight. You have a chance to win if you fight. You do not have a chance no matter how what stage the cancer is as long as you don’t start the fight(start the treatment)
3) embrace your mortality. Even if treatment fails but you have tried your best ok. Even if you will die the next day, there are still things to do which you can enrich your life before you pass on.
My wife is a stage 4 lung cancer, she is into the nine years of "cancer journey", my blessing and prayers will be with you and your family too, thank you, thank you so much for sharing...

Its your mind over cancer. I had 1 year old kid while battling cancer and chemo. She is young too. Husband support system is a must like her. Mine is 3C ovarian cancer and 11 years in remission/ survivor.

I did frontline chemo. Taxol and carboplatin for almost 7 mos every week. First week taxol and second week combination. I ate lots of ampalaya leaves , bunga malunggay mangosteem. I pushed myself to eat gulay talbos kahit.mapait tiisin. 5 years no meat. I worked part time and taking care of baby. Drove self to chemo and if i feel something is wrong i drive my self to urgent care or hospital. MOSt of All GUYabano leaves and strong Faith to God'
Do your part to help your self and God will help you.

I am doing the same exact thing this gentleman did for his wife, I am trying to find out as much as I can to help my girlfriend. Been with her for almost 30 yrs and doing everything I can to get her better, she has stage 3 lung cancer and if anyone can reply and give advice or just a prayer to help would really be appreciated. “You are your own number” this is so true. Every journey is different, everyone’s side effects are different, the medicine you can take cannot take also very different. It’s very scary not to be able to rely on experience or numbers to see the road ahead so you just have to take one day at a time. See what you can do or learn today that will make tmr better. Most of all, don’t set an expectation for yourself on when you’ll recover. Cus even if you survive cancer, that is just the first step of your cancer journey. You still have to rehabilitate from all the shit chemo and radiation does to your body.

this is a power couple
I had stage3a nsclc, had an R1 resection lobectomy followed by concurrent chemoradiation and consolidation chemotherapy, did not have the fancy mutations that allow for the immunotherapy... Diagnosed in 2020 September and still alive today, don't do what i did, i did only 1 follow up scan, because back in the days a professor looked at a happy patient with end stage liver disease and hiv and said "he's so happy, because he does not know... Ignorance is bliss sometimes" i don't know what's cutting but i feel ok so far, apart from the long term effects of the treatment. Wish all the best and courage to all those going through this. I was 38 years old and a surgeon myself. Tough when you know what's cutting.

10mth back intestine cancer, after opt and everything September she was clean..
Just a follow up check… and suddenly stage 4 lung cancer.. in just 3 mth spend.. too shocking.
