I think what's really holding it back isn't the game at all, it's that fact that everywhere I see, people are comparing it to Monster Hunter. Monster Hunter has had plenty of time to iron itself out and make itself great, but Wild Hearts is just starting, so it hasn't had the time to see what works and what doesn't. Since people are comparing it to a series that's been out for years, obviously it's going to look worse in comparison or not be as good as people were expecting.
It’s actually right on par or better if you ask me.

Love the game but the day one patch mentality in the game industry is kinda sh*tty.
This has been a good palate cleanse after gringing out anomaly stuff in Sunbreak. My friend and I just met lavaback and took 40 minutes to beat him the first time. Then we ran it back with nothing but boots on and beat him again, two carts but 30 minutes. Gonna have a lot of fun moments with this I think.

One question in regards to performance: what CPU / GPU / RAM do you use?
I use Amd Ryzen 7, GTX 3070 Ti, Settings are on max with medium on shadows and vegetation density, motion blur off, v sync on, fps limit of 60; game runs 55-60 fps. Fps drop rates do occur to around 45+, but it's pretty uncommon (more common though if you run all max settings). Also I have 20% sharpening from Nvidia panel

Warning there's a tremendous amount of tech issues. Check the steam reviews and forums. It's pretty bad. This is not some boring stuff. This is make or break being able to play the game.
They are taking a week to do their cpu bottleneck patch and there's audio glitches that affect fps. Be very careful buying this right now.
Me and my friends haven't experienced any issues on console, thankfully, so I think most of the technical issues are on PC facing
The three things holding the game back: the price tag, the overly-exaggerated technical issues which exist but aren't as bad as idiots claim, and the bias because MHW gatekeepers don't like a rival to their game.

IMO, this game is indefensible. All it is is anti-environmentalist propaganda masquerading as a "fantasy game." I love how horrible messages like this get defended and ignored just because they tell us how amazing humanity is and these garbage messages are convenient for us.
And I'm going to say this roght now: I do not like Monster Hunter. I just think the themes and messaging in Wild Hearts are game-breaking and vile.
This game actually reminds me of Ghost of Tsushima in the way the movement and combat feels.

The co op optimization is horrible is horrible in this game . Monsters dissapear players get kicked out randomly ... besides that it's a fun game
I've heard a few people saying this I haven't had any multiplayer issues yet

I find it hilarious that some people are supporting this game thinking it can and or will get better and that sequels will be better despite the fact it's made by EA, you know, that EA that are known for being driven by greed alone and rushing unfinished products out constantly and preying on players anyway they can

Rise/Sunbreak was a disappointment, looks like WILD HEARTS will give me the same Magic, nostalgia and Thrill like WORLD did.
I'll wait for the performance fix before i buy WILD HEARTS.
If you plan on getting it on console, the performance issues are basically non-existent besides a few fps drops that don't last longer than a few seconds
I tried it out and hated it. Way too frustrating for me. Camera keeps getting obscured by everything and none of the weapons clicked with me. Stuck it on my “never touch again” list.
ah yes monster hunter with fortnite elements. i think ill pass. dont like fortnite probably wont like this.
