    Hello, I have a few comments and by no means should they be taken as criticism, you made a great video.
    1. Before removing the pinch bolts I'd remove the nut 80% of the way out.
    2. Remove/loosen the pinch bolts.
    3. With a dead blow or rubber mallet strike the axle bolt. This will move the axle out. If not far enough use a appropriate Dia. hardwood dowel
    4. Before reassembly check wheel bearings.
    5. Lubricate the axle with a anti-seize. I use Permatex. The reason for this is sometimes the axle rusts and becomes VERY difficult to remove.
    Hope this helps...I've used this method many hundreds of times and I've delt with many stuck axles.Ride safe

    Chris, nice video. One thing to bring up, you should remove the speed sensor from the fork. Service manual recommends. Any hit can damage it.

    Was surprised you were able to loosen the 22mm bolt after loosening the right side pinch bolts. Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't. There is a very common stepped 4-size hex tool which fits the axle, 17mm I believe is the one used, but is not always needed. Can make your own with a 17mm head bolt, a washer bigger than 17mm, and a 17mm nut. To extract the axle leave the 22mm partially threaded and hit it with your hand. On assembly tighten the 22mm and if axle turns then at least it is seated before tightening the right pinch bolts which should hold it to properly torque the 22mm, or use the 17mm tool. The pinch bolts are what holds the axle, the 22mm is redundant for safety.

    Thanks for sharing. My ? Is those 14 mm bolts. Does Honda recommend replacing those bolts or the pinch bolts? It would be great seeing this wheel being reinstalled. Thanks again Chris. Always appreciate your efforts keeping us informed.

    Would be interesting to see you put it back especially the wheel axel and how you line up the fork and to witch nuts you use a torque wrench.

    Chris. Thank you for your video. Please, tell me the characteristics of the torque with which you tightened all the bolts when installing the wheel in place. I can't find a torque table for all the bolts that are involved when removing the front wheel. Thank you.

    Nice video of the wheel removal. Considering the technology on the front wheel, do you think replacing it with a 21” wheel would be wise?

    14:54 every time I remove my front wheel for the brakes and put it back. It starts the ABS light, TMPS light to flashing. Where it says tour or sport it starts flashing as well and I have to take it back to Honda every time for them to do whatever they do to reset them all to where they stay off. What am I doing wrong? I make sure that I’m extra careful not to damage the abs ring. But for some reason it keeps doing it! Help

    I see you had a lift for your bike but could you use the centerstand and is it okay to block it up under the motor?

    • @alp3781
      @alp3781 Год назад

      You can do it with a center stand, but you need to get a mini scissor lift to raise the front a bit off the floor. Ebay has plenty of those. I use 500 lbs rated. You lift only the front weight.
