I've had a Delta Cep A2 for the last fortnight or so --- youtube videos sold me on it --- and of everything I've owned in the last two decades, it has become one of my most favourite synthesizers: I think the reason why is that it stays *musical*. Other synthesizers are more powerful or can go much wilder, but they swiftly stray out of musicality. As a result, much like a Minimoog, whenever I play with my Delta Cep A the sounds are immediately musical and joyful.
I think I'll be buying a second. I've never said that about any other instrument I've owned.

I like that you label everything.

Sometimes, those Dymos are of great help in the studio! 👍

The biggest feature of the new firmware version is full midi cc control!!! can't beleive you didn't mention that.....also for those upgrading the firmware, esp the desktop users....don't forget that as standard, it's set to turn off automatically after 30 mins....so you need to turn that off, if you dont want to lose a killer patch (if you get distracted away from the delta cep).......would be great if there way some basic patch editor so you can see the actual knob settings etc. per patch.....thanks for making the video!

You are right! There are some details I missed out. Some were lost in the edit and some left out in purpose. I understood that Midi-CC were already addressed in 1.6. Since I never use CC with the Delta, I did not really care about it! 😁 Concerning the Editor that already exists as beta for iPad, Jörg is still working on it. It just doesn't meet his quality standards yet! There are also some details that do not really work with the update yet. You can't properly sync the Step Sequencer (which is awesome for improvising, by the way!) with MIDI-Clock. But it's about to be fixed. I thought that it would be better to address those subjects in a new video when the editor is published. And talking about bugs in review videos is always a bit confusing for future views. Thanks for your support! 🤖

Thanks for this- not a lot of info regarding updating original Cep A online. Jörg seems to be more of a musician than a businessman. I think this shows in the quality of the instrument, but it also means that the synth is relatively unknown. I think, as regards sound quality, it is my favourite synth.

I am always telling him to make more efforts with marketing! But he also likes a good work-life balance! 😁

Just to be clear: there are NO differences between the Delta Cep A and Delta Cep A2 except a few labels updated on the panel silkscreening, and addition of headphone jack on the case (for easier playing in shop or studio). Exactly same hardware, same ICs, same board revision, everything.

The synth engine has officially outgrown it's shell. Even MORE shift functions? I'd buy this synth in a heartbeat if it was in a slightly larger casing with more knobs and button but in it's current state, I must decline.

What is there customer service like? Also is it a much better idea to get the new model instead of the OG on the used market? Does the OG have ability to be used with the app?
    Sorry for multiple questions.

The app will also work with the old model. There is really no additional functionality except the headphone jack. Customer Service is great! Jörg Schaaf is a legend in the synth business and really takes care!

Jörg is only an email away and he replies swiftly. To be frank I've never had better "customer service".
