Chris!!!! THANKS ALOT! You are da man! Would be amazing if you could make a really deep dive into the Multiclock! Hope my will arive monday :)))) can't wait! And BIG Thanks to Sebastian for keeping it up! Really appreciate it! Can't wait to see more from Floatingpoint! Keep it up and thanks again!
I also love my Multiclock. I especially like it for live jams with my old Roland gear. The ability to turn individual channels on and off, and quantized to the next bar is great fun! I also set up the play/stop keys as a remote control (USB MIDI) for my DAW when I’m not running DAW-less. You talked about tips and tricks from Sebastien, but I didn’t catch them… maybe in another video?
I just used mine for the first time last night dawless. Benefit 1 was stopping one instrument and playing in time meticulously. I even tried speeding it up and slowing it down and it worked a treat. The only issue is that it only has four channels. Wish it had more. Oh I was powering it up using a truetone cs12 and it worked. It’s great quality. Super easy! Haven’t tried the daw version properly yet. Thanks for the video❤
It's not made in China or in any other outsourced territory. Then it's mostly handcrafted here in Berlin, because of the small quantities produced. And Sebastian also has to pay his rent! That's why! 😉
I have an Expert Sleepers lightpipe to MIDI/Sync interface that works pretty much the same way (Audio from DAW to sample accurate MIDI/CV/Gate), is just Eurorack and you can have as many MIDI Outs or Gates as you want. But if you don't have a lightpipe interface or Eurorack, the Multiclock is a must have if you have more than one synth or drum machine and are experiencing jitter or lag.
I had a multi-clock and did some testing. There was no difference in midi timing between the multi-clock and an iConnectivity Mio10. There was pretty much the same amount of variation when recording midi devices audio outputs.
@@shawnsaul7759 Like my iConnect Midi 4+, the Mio is just a low latency midi router. It doesn't generate it's own clock - but the latency might be low enough that you don't need it. I haven't tested it with much vintage gear though.
I appreciate another multiclock video, but to much explaining of the basic sync, wish there was a quick video with all main uses and how to setup the midi inside multiclock. Like, what is the midi in for? I mean...how do I get a signal once I plug a midi keyboard in?
How much does the new multi clock cost ? Can the old ones be updated to include the new features? Or do we have buy a completely new box ?please let me know 👽
will this fix the delay from a midi notes in my daw that triggers the sounds in my outboard synth? when i record the audio from my synth that is triggered by midi from my daw, the audio arrives several milliseconds later. I have adjusted my audio recording offset which works when i record mysel playing live but when it is sequenced midi notes from the daw, there is a persistent delay that wont go away.
I have the ER-M. Liked the idea so much, got one just in case before they were out. Grear video which motivated me to putting it in use. Would you want to also review Cosmos Metaconformer? I learn so much from your content and so much fun. Danke schön wie immer und beste Grüsse aus Istanbul!👏🏻👏🏻👋🏼👋🏼🧿
I'm assuming this is mostly for syncing different sequencers together rather than simply sending notes to an external synth/drum? Also, cool that the designer lives nearby! When is Uli coming over for a visit?
Hey people! My multiclock does weird shift like -7 then +7 bpm once in a 16 bar , if I use it via usb . If E RM is master everything is perfect. I thought the ableton is the reason for that, coz it’s shifts constantly but in the range of 1 bpm usually. Is anybody had the same problem? Btw thank you for the video guys. Good good stuff!
Absolutely! It‘s got a little firmware update because of a small bug Sebastian found the other day. But as no one other found it until now, it wasn‘t worth to mention.
Please stop saying "nice" from the side camera shots. It automatically reminds me of The Fast Show TV series Jazz Club comedy sketches. I'm only joking, it's really not an actual criticism, I just couldn't stop laughing when you did it and I had to pause the video. The sketches are on RUclips if you've no idea what I'm talking about. Unless, you do know and you're paying homage to them? Thanks for the video, I'm constantly fighting MIDI hell with my mixture of modern and vintage hardware and I'm thinking the multiclock might be the only legitimate solution I've yet to try.

More videos about this please
Sebastian - a man of few words but many clocks.
Also the price is very professional.

Does MIO10 send midi clock?

I actually wanted to see if mio xl nd floating clock could work in tandem with

Maybe you could ask the creator if there is something in the works like a Maxforlive-device that would work on the Push 3 Standalone?
Great idea! I asked Ableton to send me a Push3 for testing. But until now, there was no response... 😟
Actually the Multiclock works fine with Push 3 standalone. Just need an audio track and audio output
awesome
Thanks! Will this work with as master clock with UAD LUNA?
yes! why not? If Luna takes VST Plugins. it even works with Pro-Tools! 😁

I got mine from Thomann UK for about $700
That’s what I paid too 👽✌️

I never heard of this! But as I can see on a first look, it's a different use case! Anyway! All the best to Istanbul, Arkadas! Lovely City! 👍
Sis is a german chennel 😛 gutes video ✌️
Jawohl! And a real Berliner product! 🇩🇪
Top!
I’ve looked into many cheaper options but I think I might just end up getting this…begrudgingly.
There are simply no cheaper options! 😉
Great video ! My first introduction to the multiclock. Keep rocking brother. Sebastion is a genius.
You won’t regret it. And if you hate it which I doubt you will it retains its value if not increases because it’s hard to get.

Unfortunately Uli lives in Kuala Lumpur! And he seems to be also a bit shy! I already asked him, of course! 😉
Yes i have problems when syncing hapax to daws or other sequencer based synths

Btw thank you for the video guys. Good good stuff!
This is why it uses audio for sync! Just use it as it is intended and everything will be fine! 🍀
oh the name Floatingpoint made me thinking of some new highly processed technology, but it‘s actually the absolute same device, isn‘t it?
Absolutely! It‘s got a little firmware update because of a small bug Sebastian found the other day. But as no one other found it until now, it wasn‘t worth to mention.
@@winesynths Interesting! Would you happen to know whether that firmware update will work for the legacy E-RM Multiclock?
Just did it today with my E-RM Multiclock and it worked fine.

The first Multiclock can easily be updated to the new version. Hardware stays nearly the same.
