Thanks buddy! Great video. I bought myself Elan 7 + EF 50mm 1.8 and EF 70-200 f4 is l, incredible bundle. Before that I worked on the old Soviet Zenit 122 + Jupiter 135 3.5. Elan 7 is just magic, it is so convenient, it fits so well in the hand. But I wonder if it makes sense to switch to Canon Eos 30v or look at older brothers Canon Eos 3 or Eos 1. But they are still expensive.
Compared to the flagship canon 1n and 1v, it’s also very light in weight. And the shutter on my 1n is very loud once you get used to these eos 30’s. Love my 1n, but I am just as happy out there with the 30v (I assume it’s essentially the same in most respects as the 30). I have back-button focus set up on both cameras. Seeing as I may buy a 30 as an extra backup, can you dedicate one of those back buttons for focusing? I’d be interested to know. Thanks.
When ever I use my EOS30 people often think it is a digital camera!! I also have the battery grip for mine. Owned it from new in 2001 The only thing I have had to repair on the body is the back latch which is a small plastic part, but they can still be obtained and they are easy to fit. I bought a couple of spares for the future if required.

I love that these are quiet shooters. Def a good selling point

I think you can if you have a look in the manual its all to do with custom function 4
Thanks, I do find that function very useful. @@28allday
