Yes!! It always bothers me to see the entourage grabbing gowns that are clearly beyond the bride's budget and then just shrug when she points out she can't afford it. I absolutely loved this episode; what a sweet, supportive family.
I saw that on another Lori episode. The bride was considerate and only wanted a $2000 budget but the dress she liked was $5000. Therefore, she hesitated but her dad got it for her and told her not to worry and she did wear that dress on the wedding day.
We are all raised very differently. I would NEVER allow my parents to pay some ridiculous amount of money for a dress. Absolutely not. I could never place financial burden onto someone else. That to me is a disgrace. I don't care how much money was on the table. Spending money wisely is a road less traveled with specific individuals who were raised to be selfish and irresponsible.
@@linamarie84 i completly understand your point of view, but in the case when a family push the bride to try on a more expensive dress, i think it's normal for them to pay for the extra amount if the bride love the dress they pushed over, so the bride pay for her budget and the alteration and the family pay the rest.
@@linamarie84 We don't know anything about the uncle or their situation. Maybe he could well afford it and has no children of his own. I know my friend's brother did this for all of her kids. He's gay and never had kids of his own or even a long-term relationship (he's of the age before gay marriage became popular) He did a lot for every one of her kids and he could WELL afford it. Now that he is old and sick, her eldest daughter moved him in with her. so, obviously, she appreciated her uncle and what he did for her.
Those are tears of relief from the dad! Good old Uncle Dave! You can tell she was not expecting that. I don’t think any of them were. This is a really good example of where the money goes in a dress. The expensive fabric drapes so nicely and reflects light in a different way.
….💖That’s The Way It Should Be ~ When The Bride Has A Budget And Others Go Above That Budget Then They Should Pay The Difference ~ Very Well Done Uncle💖….
It was really nice of her Dad and Uncle Mike to cover the cost of the wedding dress. The wedding dress looked pretty on her and she was actually glowing.
0:51 *Its quite commendable that she shared that detail on national TV* Shows that the family bond is very strong & there’s no animosity toward her dad 🤙🏼
What a lovely family. Dad & uncle, in particular are so caring, generous & emotional. It was so kind of the uncle to pay the extra cost & she’s very lucky to be so very well loved.
At 1:28 the bride to be and her fiance look like identical twins. I wish them all the best. Most times, I don't approve of going over budget for a wedding dress but with this bride, it was meant to be. The support from her dad and her uncle meant everything.
I had an uncle like that. We loved each other deeply. He was always there for me, Supportive , loving and someone I could talk to about anything , without fear of judgement . He's been dead for a long time, now, but I think about him and miss him daily. I always will. Yet, I'm thankful to have been blessed ,with both him and my aunt, in my life. Without their loving support, I really doubt I'd still be here , now. They, literally , saved my life
I agree to some extent but you should not spend wastefully just to make yourself “happy “. True happiness comes from within you and no amount of money can buy it.
I'm not crying, you're crying. :') This was the sweetest episode and so happy to see a bride loved so much by her entire family. Her dad and uncles were just sweethearts.
Dress #4 looked perfect on her. She has a wonderful family but sometimes i have an impression that they fall in love with the price tag, not the dress.
Just a wholesome episode. The bride was sweet and down to earth. Sticking to her budget. And her whole family was amazing, so supportive and caring. I usually don’t care for brides or an entourage that completely ignores a budget, but this one just makes me feel good.
If they were going over the budget at least a family member stepped up and paid the difference. Thank you Uncle Dave!!! She looked beautiful in the last two dresses but the last gown was definitely the one. ❤
You feel the sales people are simply cheating the customers. There are a ton of dresses in $2500 range, but they not guiding the family to those, showing the most hideous ones and then selling something twice the budget. No wonder Kleinfeld is dying. Even the blowout sale was not very popular this time. Good for them.
So lovely that she has this kind of family. Her parents can stand together after their divorce because they love their daughter and want to share this experience with her. Her uncle says “if she likes it better I’ll pay the difference” and all of them were smiling and with happy tears cause the hunt was over. Lovely
That uncle is a real one, such a gentleman to not just pick something above her price and leave her to sink or swim he stepped up to make her dreams come true. ❤
I'm from RI and I'm getting married and unfortunately the Biltmore is now called the Graduate and things are different... I miss the old vintage Biltmore. Gorgeous.
I agree. She played him. I think that happens often. And, daddy and uncle compensate for the family dynamics. Uncle said she has gone over her budget for everything. Interesting but at the same time pathetic.
Her uncle knew her well and was kind enough to help with the budget. Uncle of the year 😁 Also, “Maybe he needs to have the feeling and then I’ll get it off of him” are words any bride should never say. Otherwise they settle based on someone else’s feelings and then regret it.
Finally, a family member who stepped up after insisting on a more expensive gown.

Shes very lucky to have the support of the most important men in her life.. Dad and Uncle.. love them..
Yup! My dad, uncle, my brothers and my nephews are the most important men in my life. My future husband and son too.
Father's day was a few days ago (in my country) and I wish I could say the same about my dad 😢😢
@@InêsdAlmeida I understand. I was looking at a photo of my parents who are long gone now, asking my dad why couldn't he have been like this!
The father and uncle are precious!
I’m confused. Was he her uncle or step-dad?
I cannot imagine, in my wildest dreams, the love and support she receives from her father and uncle.
I agree. Lucky girl
Every girl needs a Dad and Uncle like this❤❤
I love how the uncle said, “there is no price for happiness” and was willing to above and beyond for her! That’s family love!
THAT DRESS WAS AMAZING. Her uncle and her dad - what a great team. She's so blessed to have them.
Those are tears of relief from the dad! Good old Uncle Dave! You can tell she was not expecting that. I don’t think any of them were. This is a really good example of where the money goes in a dress. The expensive fabric drapes so nicely and reflects light in a different way.
She is so lucky to have a dad and uncle like that!
What a kind and loving Uncle. Congratulations, you look STUNNING!
and then your uncle and dad walk you down the aisle, one on each side......beaming with pride the whole way
So lovely to have 2 such supportive men!
I want an uncle like him. He is amazing. Love him.
She ought to have Uncle Dave start walking her down the aisle and have her dad take over half way to finish the walk.
That's what I thought. My oldest daughter had her dad and my husband at the time both walk her down the aisle, one on each side. It was touching.
or she can have them both on either side of her, i've seen some brides walk down the aisle that way when it's like, dad and stepdad.
This episode has to be at least 12 years old, but yeah.
@dietotaku that was my thought!
@@dietotakuYea, I was going to say that. I have seen mom and dad both walk their daughters down aisle on both sides too.
What a lovely family!! Don’t usually support going over budget, but glad someone stepped up to help her
This girl is blessed to have these two love her so much and it shows how much they truly care for her, its heart warming ❤
Imagine having a family that loves you this much
some of us cannot imagine this level of support

Yep. She's very blessed.
Nopes. I can't.

Absolutely! If you break the bride's budget, it's up to you to fix it!
Such a sweet and loving family. Diane did a good job picking the silhouette.
She was always one of my favorite consultants, always knew to pick the perfect style for everybody's different body shape.
I love this family! So supportive and kind! Congrats to the beautiful bride

Lovely supportive family.

She looked GOOD! ❤ consultant knew exactly what she needed. Gorgeous.
They are genuinely nice people, not like some spoilt, demanding entourages that sometimes accompany the bride.
Aw. What a sweet uncle! My brothers and I are like this to our nephews too.
I cried watching this! What a loving generous uncle! Who does that?
someone who can afford to , who loves you a lot!
I would do that for my nephews and niece.
I remember seeing this when it aired years ago. Very nice family. I hope she’s happily married.
That is an uncle that we all wish we had! Such love for his niece!

There's a lot of wisdom in that: you cannot put a price on happiness.

I’ve watched DAYS in total of syttd and this was the first one that made me cry.

How beautiful! The bride, the dress, and the love from her family
What a terrific uncle! It's nice to see a relative put their money where their mouth is!
Beautiful video! Love that uncle pulled the one and covered the extra cost so willingly! Bravo!
Wow a lot of love, I was initially worried they were going to be overbearing but happy to be wrong. Beautiful family bond!

What a loving family. Something that I did not have, but it always encourages me when I see this.
This young lady won in the family department. Pure love all around.
Dianne is a wonderful, positive consultant. The bride, the father, the uncle, the mother....wow...great group!

When they all started crying omg how wonderful
What a beautiful family lets hope she carries the love and values on into her own family she has xx

Beautiful people. Thanks Uncle!
Love the uncle thanks for the love you have for her…
Why am I annoyed with how easily she accepts the offer ??!! I think she didn't even feel thankful to her uncle or is it just me ?!😅😅😅😅

She’s worth every damn penny and the amazing uncle knows it ❤
You know these people personally?
Fantastic to see someone who put hos money where his mouth is, instead of the normal people who blow the budget then leave the bride upset

Ironically enough, I actually thought she looked prettier in the less expensive gown!
ME, TOO!!
I preferred the less expensive one but bless her uncle for making her so happy
Me too
This HAS to be my favorite episode❤
I like seeing fathers more than the mothers . I’ve seen a large share of difficult mothers sister and step moms making the bride uncomfortable ! 😢
What a wonderfully supportive family: no mean comments, all wanting the bride to be happy with HER choice.
Kudos also to the bride’s Mom who came in to the room alone to assure the bride was getting the dress she wants, not just pleasing her Dad and Uncle.
It's 14 years ago...none of it matters now, and it's just cheap entertainment in 2024.
She is so lucky to have men that are so gentle and loving towards her.....❤
So cute. That seems like a lovely family
This family is so beautiful ❤️
❤❤❤ lucky she's got the Uncle to step up. BUT I was in hus same frame of mind when my now daughter-in-law was shopping ❤❤❤
I'm the only one who likes more the cheaper siluett dress?
Nope, I was surprised, the cheaper one was much nicer IMO
SILHOUETTE.
Me too.
Bless them all - so much love ❤️
What a beautiful family 😭
Everyone is crying, and now I’m crying…dammit!
This was a beautiful episode!
It's about time a member of the crew the bride brings in steps up to help after insisting a dress more expensive than her budget
The uncle knows how to read a room and make a dream happen love him and his brother
What a wonderful family.
Lovely family. Well done Uncle
Simply love this episode..❤❤
Well the second last dress locked much better than the last one she picked and the upper part didn't fit her either.
the consultant did well. that dress did wonders for her silhouette
