    These rotors are so damn nice and the cost of them too as well as the ability to buy replacement discs is really convenient for people like me that are going to get into a lot of track driving!

    I have it for over a year, and they are great.
    Z1 2 piece rotors (F+R) plus Work T7R, and my Z turns very fast.

      Same here, on stock 2014 rays sports + PSS 255/285's. Night/Day difference after the pads bed in. Kind of fun just out braking people in a series of long turns, just looking in the rear view mirror and the look of defeat, even though they have the faster car on paper right? lolz. best mod ever for the Z!! although the FI exhaust is also $$$

      @@07wrxtr1 what's the difference between the upgrade kit and buying the 2 piece rotors just by themselves? in case my pads are fine and the other parts

    • @07wrxtr1
      @07wrxtr1 4 года назад +1

      @@kafaya77 I'm not sure what's in the KIT unless you want to post a link. I just bought the pair of fronts and rears, then got my own pads (EBC Redstuff... although I'd go more aggressive next round with Yellowstuffs!!!). You can also get the stainless lines either now or at another time, and it's not a bad idea to get new fluid and flush out whatever you have in there as brake fluid can retain water over time. I chose to get rotors / pads / lines / fluid all in one shot and then had a shop install it all. The rotors are still doing fine 2 years later... but! I would suggest doing a lot of research on pads (good luck as there's a billion opinions on this).

    I'm just here to point out that these are awesome and they are the soul reason that there are no other two pieces rotors on the market, everyone else stopped producing these, the car feels a lot more responsive in the corners its like getting lighter wheels.

  • @07wrxtr1

    First "mod" on my Z. The stock pads/rotors/fluid is a complete waste of time joke after 4-6 stops, especially if everything is cold and you're wanting to enjoy a fun short drive to work. The stock fluid is SO BAD, that Nissan flushed mine on the second oil change after buying the car, basically cat piss fluid. I went with these, front/rear with EBC redstuff + Motul 600 + SS Lines. Give it about 3-4 months / 6k miles, and WOW!! Nolonger are the brakes a distraction as they become a tool for late braking, confidence, more precise weight transfer and modulation... Honestly it's the best mod to the car if you actually enjoy canyon carving, real/actual driving. I was never happy with the turn in steering feel of mine with the Pilot Super Sports, and these rotors actually helped a ton. On paper there are a ton of modifications that seem to be better, but this should really be your first if you are actually truly into driving, plus, it's just wildly entertaining to out drive someone without relying on straight sections of road. I've tried and tried to over heat them, and they just somehow keep going. First brakes on any car I've owned that actually meet/exceed expectations, just make sure whomever does the install that you bleed them out several times, especially on the Akebono's, and go with Motul 600/660. Pads are whole different debate, but I'm happy with the EBC Redstuff as a daily driver.

      Solid comment, definitely want these on my G now

    • @07wrxtr1
      @07wrxtr1 9 месяцев назад

      @@oc31446 years later they're still kicking a$$. I would add: if you want to drive ultra crazy - maybe go more aggressive than EBC redstuff.... I am on my 2nd set of EBC Redstuff and plan on going with a 3rd set. They are NOT a track pad but they do good enough for street duty while not destroying the rotors and ultra low dust / almost no dust after the few months of the break in period. Beyond this - then you want more aggressive pads, and then the big decision of modifying your front bumper for brake cooling ducts if you're doing some real auto-x or road racing with long stretches of high speed stops.

    In the video the images of the 2 piece rotors appear to have quite a bit less wearable rotor stopping thickness. Would these experience noticeably less life than stock rotors?

    • @07wrxtr1
      @07wrxtr1 9 месяцев назад

      6 years and 60k miles later - mine are still kicking a$$.. obviously it depends on your driving habits and pad choice. I went with the EBC redstuff and they've done a good job of finding a balance between dust/pad wear/rotor wear... If i were going to the track - I would go yellow stuff and brake cooling ducts... otherwise - for daily use these work as a good combo

      That's what we get when the federal reserve "just" prints money - Remember - they doubled the money supply in 18-24 months. You have more money chasing less goods as they also coordinated a supply chain reduction in order to screw everyone then gaslight you by saying it's YOUR fault and "climate change dude bro"!!
      It's all a scam - India and China are building Coal plants FASTER and more frequent NOW than they did in the 1970-1990 period. The expectation is that developed nations simply have too high of labor costs and corporations want people to live like 3rd world countries - so that - no matter where you go - there really isn't a huge upward lift in living standards. They want "one world" everything - so basically we can all be EQUALLY poor - that's what they mean by "equality" - it's not about hiring minorities - it's about pushing down people.
      Go study esoteric vs exoteric language - james lindsey is the expert I would highly recommend listening to if you have time while working on projects on the computer. Spread the word because what we're all dealing with is a future where they don't want you or I not only to modify vehicles - but to even OWN vehicles - it will be just like another subscription program - cuz "climate change bro"
      Ask yourself why Nuclear energy is NEVER brought up - because that would solve 90% of the energy production problem - but - they don't want to "SOLVE" the problem - the goal is to CREATE crisis, then use the "crisis" created in order to push legislation and lifestyle changes that are anti-human at the end of the day. And don't fall for Elons speeches on how we're going to "spread humanity to the stars..." he's a transhumanist just like gates/bezos/zuck the cuck and others. Elon vs. Zuck is coke vs. pepsi - one is leftist the other represents the conservative side - this way they can capture more of an audience whom will agree with their godless trans-humanist future "utopia" bs... and you can tell everything about a guy by the types of women he's been with - barf -

    • @07wrxtr1
      @07wrxtr1 7 лет назад

      You can use whatever pads you want, I suggest anything other than the stock pads. I went with EBC redstuff as I've had them on 3 vehicles and have been happy with them. Look on the370.com site and you'll find a whole debate on brake pads. Basically anything is better than stock.
