Clark is bang on, but I have to agree with others here. Superman's stern expression isn't the way we remember Christopher Reeve in that suit. Where is the warmth? The kindness? The knowing wry smile? Reeve played up the CHARM of Superman in the films, and all I see is the same stern "badass" scowling Superman that Cavil played. He's too dark, and too broody.
Clark = 10/10. Superman 8/10.
Or maybe actually watch Donner movies and count yourself how many times this Superman actually smiles and how many times he has any other expression. Jeez, you guys really are biggest clowns out there.
Clark is an absolute homerun. Kal-El needs some work on that portrait. For this kind of money collectors should demand perfection.
I feel that Ka-lel's problem lies in his hair, Reeve used it with hair gel, it has a lot of volume! Clark is more than perfect…

Clark Kent is spot on. But the portrait on Superman is off has a Brandon Routh likeness. I own 3 JND’s statues I really hope you can adjust the likeness on Superman because I really want this piece.

I would buy the Clark by itself if it also came with swap out arms that allows him to be opening his shirt with the super suit showing underneath. That would be epic.
Just buy Sideshow’s call to action piece which is far better value anyway
Clark is perfect! 100% everything! Superman’s face is close but he looks too thin.
Reeves is much smaller in the original movie compared to Superman 3 but if you're saying solely about a thin face, again I thin it's the big hair throwing it off. Every comment seems to be the same though, Clark is perfection and Supes needs a little work.

I have to agree as well as being a huge Christopher Reeve fan myself, the Clark Kent one is great, but the Superman one needs more work before you officially release this at the price you're asking.
That hair , that face expresion , that Superman is the evil- alcoholic Superman from the third movie. Isn,t it? If so, the figure is very well done . Clark is perfect. They should sell this one separately.

Definitely like this statue as a subject and in concept, however I agree with some of the other comments that said the Clark Kent looks much better than the Superman 🦸♂️ at this stage 🤔 I'm sure that there will be some tweaks and fine tuning to get the headsculpt properly dialed in, but the expression on Superman is a bit underwhelming and the statue colors seem very muted. Maybe it's 100% screen accurate, but it definitely doesn't scream "JNDized" at this current time. Hopefully the Clark Kent will be available separately 🎉

Superman looks like he is sick. Why does he have lines under his left eye. Hairs a bit messy.
Everyone remembers Reeves Superman smile. I wouldn't want him without it.
Might be the first statue id spend this sort of money on if he's perfect for me. Else I'm sure he will be for many others.

Except for the neck which is way too long, the crossed and sunken eyes, the poofy hair, the badly fit collar on Clark, the paint application, which makes him look hung over and in need of some serious sun.

Clark is perfect, the Superman is way more off. The squareness of his jaw and overall expression needs work.

For Superman, I think the hair needs another pass. The spit curl doesn't look right and It needs to curl up more. The face also needs a small hint of a smile. Right now he, looks a little too stern.

Clark looks spot on, Superman, unfortunately does not. Something about his portrait is off. I would have been interested in the Superman but if that is the final edition, it is a no from me.

There's something off with the Supes headsculpt... Doesn't look rigth to me. I can't see Reeve 100 % in that. But, on the other way, the Clark Kent one is spot on !

Tip my hat to the newbie sculptors that worked on this. You guys did a nice job. However, JND, this superhero is iconic put your seasoned people on this job. This actor/icon deserves the best you have! The Superman variant is off somehow and your Clark is better although not perfect. You are Almost there better than what I’ve seen in the past just get your Top Gun sculptors on these pieces, please. The newbies are great but leave them for other less iconic\demanding projects- this one deserves the best of the best of your sculptors. The 3D models is awesome for the clothing but stiff prefer mix media as it stands on Sups costume it looks real but plastic in a strange way. Just my observation this far.
I suspect I'll need to take out a second mortgage to buy these! They are amazing
Looking at the released video of JND Superman, the close-up shot of the product shows the appearance of reeve, but the long-distance shot of the product does not completely show the appearance of Reeve. In other words, although the detailed features fully embodied the appearance of Reeve, but the harmony or silhouette of the face does not seem to reproduce Reeve.
In order to solve this problem, how about analyzing various Reeve's reference photos to reflect a more scientific and precise look to the entire face? For example, checking the horizontal and vertical width of the face. For example, checking the ratio of the distance between the eyebrows and the forehead in the vertical width of the entire face.

Great work. Surprised to see the costume is painted on Superman but it works well. PLEASE try to improve the hairstyle on Superman though. Clark is outstanding and better than Superman currently.
Totally agree. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the hair throwing off the Superman portrait. Clark looks incredible though. This may have to be the first twin set I get. Fingers crossed for a Michael Keaton Bruce and Batman combo one day.

Excited for this release. Clark looks great but Superman is off. Sorry team but Superman needs to go back to the drawing board. Especially at this price point. Also the fully sculpted suit might put a lot of people off, again at this price point.
Additionally many companies have failed over the years and made the mistake of making Christoher look too stern almost angry in the face. At the end of the day both Chistopher as a person and "Superman the character" as a whole are full of hope and friendliness. We need to see a frienldy Superman!!!!!!!
I think it's a bit extreme to go back to the drawing board as from most angles it looks fantastic. I think the issue is the hair. The shots of the head sculpt without hair looks perfect. I think mainly hair adjustments will fix the issue. This is not a head sculpt issue as with the Arwen which does need a restart.
@@TheLucasbuck I totally agree, The sculpt without the real hair is dead on but somehow the real hair is not working for it. The Superman hair style was so sleek and had such details in it that can't be achieved with the real hair!! it is such a shame because the sculpt itself is amazing with the sculpted hair!!

Something is off with the face sculpt of Chris as Superman. He looks like a different actor who is playing Chris in a new Superman movie. The Kent figure however looks amazing.

I feel if you darken the Suit and give him a 5 o'clock shadow...you have a great version of Supes from Superman III...but the Clark Kent Is Superb...let's see if the give Supes a bit of tweaking, for the price I hope so 😉
I think the Superman is perfect. 100% perfect as is.
Its almost perfect maybe have the clark kent smirk on the superman version might then be 100% perfect it needs more of that smile instead of the the stern look but still its stunning i just wished i had the money to buy them both. This is my dream statue but i am just too old now to afford to buy them i am not that young person who worked and buy nice things as them days a truly over now for me

Just been to see The Flash at the cinema. Christopher Reeve and Helen Slater both appear in the movie in their roles of Superman and Supergirl. Seeing them put a smile on my face. Michael Keaton reprises his role as the Tim Burton Batman using Danny Elfmans music during Keatons scenes as Batman. George Kloony also appears as Bruce Wayne.

Don't get me wrong J&D makes amazing hyper realistic statues they look more real than any other competitor out there but was saying that Clark Kent is spot on in the face but the Superman in the face two things are wrong the face looks a little too thin resembles Brandon Routh the hair seem a little off I think it's seems to full / poofy it's a shame as I would really like to Superman but at the price point that they cost I will pass if the Superman looked as good as Clark Kent I would definitely purchase the Superman again Superman looks great it just could be better as this is hyper realistic figure that consumers can be hypercritical

I Think Your Headsculpt of Superman would’ve been better if you did not Use Silicone. And it would also be cheaper where collectors could Afford.I will say you nailed the Clark sculpt but even that could’ve been done Without Silicone and Cheaper for ur Collectors.
I'd prefer resin even without the lower cost.I doubt there would be a difference with a good paint job.

Tha Clark Statue is perfect. But the Superman Statue has some portrait problems. The hair is wrong. Where is the little curl. If the hair was fixed, it may fix the problem with the face looking to thin. Also, he should have more of a smile and lighten the paint. It looks like they used the Evil Superman from Superman 3 as a reference.
These look great! I agree with 99% of the comments so far, Supes is like 10% off but still looks amazing.
Don’t have to worry about it though b/c I don’t have that F-U money to constantly spend on statues 😂.

Looks mint, this is as close as you're ever going to get in likeness because the fact is, duplicating his every detail just cant be done, you can only do your best representation as you have done here. Awesome work.
