WOW ! I'm 74 yrs old and a long time SM fan since George Reeves in black n white ! This is one of the best takes i have ever seen about SM and NOT changing but adapting the ORIGINAL concepts of the first SM comic books ! Thank you and Huge CONGRATS to the whole team !
By "team" you mean the 2 or 3 fanboys in their mid 20s one or more ... possibly living in Mom's basement...or even converted attic if large enough. All 3 Graduated College and majored in Computer Graphics, Quantum Physics and Robotics... respectively. While NOT much of a "hit" with the ladies..save their beloved mother's....they have long given up maybe hooking up one day as there are non here.... currently, anyway. Picking up prostitutes is a RARE treat and if desperate enough they will turn to each other for those "special" needs.....though getting naseaus thinking about it.
Honestly? Bit refreshing to see a Superman who was severely hurt and it strengthened his resolve instead of him going evil. Fantastic job on the animation brother!

The representation and iconization of superman in this short is incredible ! We can feel the presence of Alex Ross' superman just like he came right out of the comic but you still managed to make it original and refeshing. This is truly an impressive work !

This is the work of the indy film industry. Companies like RED, Blackmagic and Epic are paving the way for affordable cinema for indy filmmakers. The major cost in cinema are based on ridiculous salaries and over-priced gear just because distributors/producers know there is no return without it, not because its "needed".

Wow!!!! That opening was so powerful and moving!!!! Honestly, I didn’t want it end. I was ready for the movie 🎉 And using the kingdom come version of Superman was genius. He delivered a feeling of seriousness in the opening. And his voice, sounded extremely authoritative and powerful. Essentially, he projected a strong presence and clearly a force to be reckoned with, but at the same time, embracing a spirit of hope for all as he lifted the globe of the daily planet into the air!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏😎😎
From someone still on the very steep learning curve in Unreal Engine and other 3D tools I can honestly say this is the sort of quality I'm striving for. There are times you feel you could be watching live action with the way lighting and camera shots have been used here. Truly awesome work. Nicely done!

I hva been a superman fan since i was a kid, jumping down the starts with towels hanging down my back, i have wondered many times what it was that kept this character in my head, now i am 41 years old and he is still here with me. Your work just blew me away and it also made me a bit sad, because i want to see more.
The placement of the cameras, compositions of the shots, using primary and bold colors. All of then combined gave a fresh outlook that I haven't seen in a while.
UR 5 is such a great platform for animators to be noticed. This was amazing love the kingdom come siute and the voice fits perfectly. I especially like the physics in where the metal reacted to superman's crushing grip and when he lifted off the ground his boots wrinkled accordingly. All those little things must've took a long time to animate you can't help but appreciate
NOW, THIS IS A MOVIE I WOULD PAY TO WATCH!!!!!, really great the feeling, tone, epicness, and music... this would be a great successor to henry's man of steel as a side story, a side kingdom come universe story.
I have been a fan of the Superman Character all of my life, literally. I was having my much older sister read Action and Superman comics to my 4 year old self in 1960. I couldn't wait to learn to read so I could do it myself! George Reeves was my first Superman, then many years later, of course, it was Christopher Reeve. Through various TV shows, movies, animated features and series I cannot remember a better, more thought out presentation of the character than this. I think the DCU is missing the chance of a lifetime of you making a full length feature, even animated, of the Superman character. This was brilliant!!
Looks like the KINGDOM COME version of Superman, when he appeared after so many years missing..to stop the "superheroes" who were extremely reckless. I would very much like to see your representation/interpretation of his return. Amazingly, the utter realism seen here via the use of CGI , bringing the character design of the original Kingdom Come artist to life is amazing. I mean.. You can CLEARLY see who served as the template for this Superman in it's own right. Good job.. I honestly wish there was more to see,as I am a Huge Kingdom Come fan.. not to mention a Superman fan.. it's been a while since i've seen OC about Superman that's given me goosebumps. Superman is a criminally underused character in a box office dominated by superheroes.
It's so sad how Henry Cavill and us fans have been treated who loved his interpretation. This trailer proves how that hope that Superman brings can shine through the dark tone and art style that we saw in ZSJL. Also puts Rock Steady to shame by also showing how a Superman story would work in the Batman Arkham universe.
This was amazing! It captured the message of hope that Superman is supposed to embody I only wish it was a full length episode or movie. DC could learn a thing or two from just watching this.
So glad youtube recommended me this. I had goosebumps watching it. The making and the staging were just on point, no way it's just a fan-fiction... Would watch the entire movie

A great Superman fan film. I was honestly worried about the dark tone at the start, but it complimented the hopeful finish at the end. That best exemplifies what Superman represents, the light that shines our way in a dark world, the hope that is needed in a cynical world.

A great Superman fan film. I was honestly worried about the dark tone at the start, but it complimented the hopeful finish at the end. That best exemplifies what Superman represents, the light that shines our way in a dark world, the hope that is needed in a cynical world.
