Happy 4th of July everyone! Nothing scream America louder than a small block V8 with a big old Supercharger on top! This is a car that's heading straight to collector status so for those of you who are lucky enough to put one in your driveway, hold onto it and cherish the days of the loud and proud, manual shifting supercharged V8 ❤️
The world isn't going to autonomous driving and electrification, just certain "journalists" are claiming that. Even if the only car on sale is a fully autonomous EV, it doesn't mean anyone of us will buy it.
There will always be cars for car enthusiast. The v8 engine might be gone however. I thought the manual will be gone by now but there are enough car enthusiast out there that companies especially Toyota are creating fun manual cars to drive in the future.
@@epicwolf agreed this whole fomo nonsense has gotta stop its what making people pay way over sticker for any and everything, even if Cadillac wants to stop theyre plenty of used ones....
This is truly going to go down as the greatest supersedan of all time. It's not about world's fastest high horsepower or instant torque or boring unmanly automatics. It's always about the driver engagement and Cadillac sure as hell brought that and if I'd rather this car, it's definitely 10 out of 10 in my books and it has nothing to do with "buy American, made American" like a bunch of stuck up snobs will always say and I don't look at it like that because I like all types of cars from many brands. That being said, what Dodge missed the mark on with the Charger whether it's a Scat Pack or a Hellcat or Hellcat Redeye, Cadillac succeeded in the CT5-V Blackwing. When you think of cars like the Pontiac G8 GXP (better known as the Holden VE Commodore in Australia), the Chevrolet SS Sedan (better known as the Holden VF1 and VF2 Commodore SSV Redline), Holden Special Vehicles's HSV GTSR W1, the Gen 1 CTS-V, Gen 2 CTS-V, and the Gen 3 CTS-V; although it did have missed opportunity for one thing, but still deserves to be recognized, all of those cars have paved the way to make what has become the Gen 4 CT5-V Blackwing. The CT5-V Blackwing 6-speed manual transmission is without question and without a doubt my ultimate dream car of all time and if I won the lottery and/or if there was a contest to give away a manual transmission CT5-V Blackwing custom ordered to my liking without no limits, I'd would wholeheartedly be all over that 100%

I have both (e90 M3 and CT5-V Blackwing) and you couldn't be more wrong. The M3 sounds cool when you wind it out but it has nothing on the Blackwing on any part of the performance or joy envelope (and don't get me started on long term maintenance costs!)
@@rdollie1 I'm no stranger to performance cars myself. and you setting the parameters of an enthusiast's car on sheer performance would cause many raised eyebrows. also, you want to tell me the longterm cost of ownership of your blackwing after owning it for how long? forgive me for being a little more than skeptical here.
@@ChristianC-gy1ym Can only extrapolate from my V3 experience but it is the same platform and engine. The e90 M3 cost me over $10k in repairs the first 6 months out of extended warranty (it still runs about $3k of surprises every 10k miles or so with well-known issues around bearings, throttle actuators, etc..). The V3 didn't have any unexpected repairs - just normal wear and tear necessitating a change of the Brembo rotors and pads. I did it myself for around $1,500.
@@rdollie1 that's fine except one, you're incriminating a car for being "high maintenance", and two you're extrapolating from an older car and still your entire argument seems to be based around cost of ownership? just making sure we're having the same conversation here regarding pure enthusiast cars. but hey I'm truly happy that you're happy with your blackwing.
@@ChristianC-gy1ym yes, have to extrapolate from Blackwing's predecessor since the Blacwking has been out for less than a year. Nobody is close to being out of warranty so there's no data but again same platform, same motor, etc..
I like my e90 M3 for what it is but it's commonly known to have significant mechanical deficiencies like so many high output German cars with age.
those cars actually aren't faster...this car tracked faster than a BMW M5 CS and it was the manual version...
Those seats are beautiful but the interior tech is 🤮
Cadillacs new infotainment and tech is great you clown. Go try one out
Front seat tech is great. Back seat amenities are a downgrade from the V3 for sure.
America
All that black around the screen 😬
It's fine. It's not the piano black from the V3 that attracted dust and fingerprints. This was made to help with that and it works (probably can't tell from the video but it's more like a dark gray with metallic flecks.)
Are you sure that's leather in the dash?
Looks just like a honda civic
Yes, that's because the CT5 design came out 3 years ago - just enough time for Honda to use that goofy C-pillar blank area (a couple of other makes have it now too.)
I cant believe how cheap GM is with their “top of the line” cars interior. Looks pretty dam close to my old Cruze’s interior. Smh what a shame GM. My new civic looks more luxurious than this
Ticks alot of boxes but at 100k $ CAD huge pass.
Be glad when the 'kids blue' color is retired.
Yeah, that blue wouldn’t be my first color choice.
I actually like it quite a lot, but will admit it’s a trendy color.
Supercharged V8 with a 6 speed is a simple recipe for an awesome car. Front end looks terrible though. Cadillac styling has fallen far since their peak in the 50/60s...
Lol I like the styling but everyone is to there own opinion
@@zyquaviousbrown2374 I don't like the look of the modern caddy... Too busy, too many weird shapes going on
@@kalashnikov1343 lol well I get it but one day it will grow on you
ALHAMDULILLAH(SWT)- ASTAGHFIRULLAH(SWT).
Sad that we’re witnessing the end of vehicles like this. All in the name of “gOiNg GrEeN.”
Gross lmao if your going to buy a V8 to collect one buy a classic don't buy this ugly thing
Man get a new effing camera...
Oh look another video about how this V8 is a farewell to V8s. Every youtube video about a V8 car has had this title for the last four years. Get a new shtick already.
Kind of irrelevant vehicle. For America the larger CT6 would have been more appropriate with a normal automatic. Alas, that is now only reserved for China. Caddy is so lost not even funny.
I think you’re the one who’s lost lol
