Lewis is the only person in the world I feel comfortable calling my idol and inspiration, not because of all his success (which his career oozes) but because of the way he carries himself, respects himself and others, and most importantly because of the side of him that has always stayed humble and understanding that he is just one piece of the puzzle. Ultimate humility, I don’t think anyone is his equivalent in any sport or any generation. I’ll never forget being 9 years old at the Indianapolis gran prix in 2007, barely understanding what was going on but completely transfixed on Lewis car. My dad, in his wisdom, could just tell that he was something special, and the decision to take me across the country to see him in action legitimately changed my life. Thank you Lewis, championship number 8 will come in red
The W05 is my favorite out of all of his Mercedes cars, I remember watching Lewis and Nico go toe to toe back in 2014. Can’t believe it’s already been 10 years!
I never got to see Muhammad Ali in his prime. I was too young when MJ was at his peak and also too young to fully understand the impact when Tiger Woods was truly unstoppable. At least I got to witness Lewis Hamilton! Sir Lewis Hamilton, that is. 🇿🇦
W editor. One of a journey guys. Best of luck to Lewis and Mercedes. And Thank You guys for all the years. The races, podiums, championships, frustrations, sad, happy each and every moments. Thank You Guys......Thank You.
I’m a big Max Verstappen fan-his talent on the track is incredible. But if I had to pick one F1 driver to be from the current grid, it would be Sir Lewis Hamilton. People sometimes call him fake, but I see someone who carries himself with grace and respect, no matter the situation. In a sport filled with pressure and rivalries, his calmness and professionalism really stand out. He’s more than just a great racer; he’s the true gentleman of F1, showing how to compete fiercely while staying classy. To me, that’s what makes him so special.
I remember watching Blue Peter with my dad, back in 1992, and seeing a young Lewis on it with his RC car. I was in to RC cars and watching F1 myself back then, and so this was the beginning of keeping an eye out for him during his karting days. Again, me and my dad were watching his debut F1 drive in a McLaren back in 2007, and the rest is history, as they say. We all know what Lewis has accomplished in F1, but I think a lot of his other attributes go under the radar for most of the general public, not least his work for helping getting kids in to the sport, particularly the female drivers. It's going to take a few races to get used to cheering him on in Ferrari next season, just as it did when he moved from McLaren to Mercedes in 2013. (Make sure you go to the correct pit box in the first race) 😄 All the best, Lewis. I'll look forward to supporting you in your next career chapter!
I remember being in college when I first heard about this man and how great of a driver he was. He's the reason why I started watching Formula One. As an African American male to see someone of color like Lewis Hamilton accomplish what he has accomplished is a blessing to witness. Being a seven time world champion is not easy and this man has done the impossible. Thank you Lewis for the wonderful memories you have created at Mercedes. I look forward to seeing your next adventure in the new season.
4:01 I was at Abu Dhabi for that race, and have a video I took of Lewis doing doughnuts and picking up that flag from the Marshal as it happened right in front of me. If you give me an address to send it to, I will happily share with you guys! I was also in Bahrain for the Duel in The Desert with Nico...epic! We stopped for dinner at an Indian restaurant later that evening, and some of the Mercedes team came to the same place. We thought they were fans in Mercedes shirts like us, and when we left we said 'great race' and they said 'yeah, but we told them to be sure to bring both cars home!'. Great memories, thanks to you all.

What a partnership!!!! The best driver with the best car over many, many years. Congratulations to everyone who made it happen. Most of all Lewis. A legend.
When two drivers go into the final race tied. There is so much randomness that it’s impossible to definitively say who was the better. As it’s just one race. We can use this to say Hamilton _Deserved_ to win it. But we can’t ignore he was tied with Verstappen and he _Deserved_ it just a much. One of them has to finish before the other and it so just so happens Verstappen did. Which makes Verstappen _deserved_ to win and _did_ win.

It was a pleasure to be with you and I hope you will reclaim your throne.
Can we give a shout out to Bono? That man is a legend and such an important part to Lewis' accomplishments.
"Get in there Lewis!", "Its hammer time".
What a partnership!!!! The best driver with the best car over many, many years. Congratulations to everyone who made it happen. Most of all Lewis. A legend.
THANK YOU, LEWIS.
Thank you Lewis....watching your journey is really inspirational
8 time world champion.
Bro, move on.
@keithframe3489 you sound like Diddy talking to prosecution 🤣
@@jakejbarnett Bro immediately thinks of Diddy based on a common phrase tells me more about you.
Real good time. DR2020 Germany Regensburg
Bye Lewis. It’s an end of an era, and I’m happy for you to have a good beginning of a new era, but a sad ending of a long lasting era. I hope you will have a good time at Ferrari with Leclerc and hope you get along with him.
Goosebumps, beginning to end. Such an immense achievement
Big Big yes good parabéns ✨✨ 0:50

Just incredible, the memories when looking back are cars
Schumacher helped build the foundation on top of the Honda/Brawn base and Lewis helped build the team on top of that solid foundation.
