I have a 150cc chinese scooter and it runs great, people that cut them down are usually people that use them for what they are not intended for, (trail riding, stunts, jumping curbs ) they break them and say they are junk, also sales people and dealerships will tell you that because every time someone buys a chinese scooter off the internet they lose money and can't (rip you off), don't believe it , they are good scooters if you take care of them, they said the same thing about Japanese motorcycles when they came to this country and now everyone wants one.
Agreed, beside that, people do not take care of them, they do not change oil, belts, breaks, valves adjustment, they think its a plug and play, that has not maintenance, instead they are just motorcycles with an automatic transmission, therefore they require all the maintenance that a motorcycle does.
Take good care of it.Those are very good scooters and they're cute.Make sure you change the oil as soon as it starts getting dark, which is pretty recommendable at the first 1000 miles..From there on start using semi synthetic oil and at 2000miles start using full synthetic.Don't believe in the myths of breaking it in slowly.Drive it as you would normally drive it and give it a break as often as possible to let it cool down.Heat is the powerful enemy at break it.It is not about busting it.It's about gradual acceleration to put pressure on the cylinder walls and seat the compression rings properly.I always do my first oil change within the first 50 miles or less to avoid damage to the bearings from the metal dust from initial break in
Great video I am a new subscriber ,I live in georgia, I want to buy the same scooter but I can't decide who to buy one from , I am worried about spending the money and getting a damaged scooter ,I would appreciate very much if you have any recommendations on where to buy the same scooter you have , thanks and God bless
Hey Matthew, welcome to the family. I got mine from Amazon, that way if there is damage, it will be covered by a real company. The bikes ship from Dallas Powersports, so you might want to deal directly from them. www.dallaspowersport.com/
Looks like a good bike for the price. It is a little misleading with "200cc" when the engine is really a 170cc. If I didn't have a scooter, this is the one I would buy. Thanks for the sub.
I have the 168.9 cc Falcon 200 from Redfoxpowersports and have 2000 miles on it . As it sits stock, it will go 62 mph stops on a dime ...I never replaced or changed anything. It is reliable as a scooter can be and seems to be made with much better, heavier parts than any chinese bike I've compared it to. Just remember to change to new oil before you start it and ALWAYS USE premium, which doesn't have ethanol , and you'll have $4000 more in your pocket than buying Honda, Vespas, etc.....
Great video, totally agree with you on all points, I've had my Kimco super 8 150 for over 10 years now and still lovin' it, gets me around through the small city I live in perfectly. Love cruising so much I got a deal on a 2009 Extreme 150 one owner with only 250 miles last year for my wife but she doesn't want to ride so I get to rotate them on my rides or get my friends and family with licenses with no scooters to ride with me and the way gas prices have gone up recently I'm seeing more and more scooters around, and that drives the prices up crazy on these things even used, but I love them to much to sell. Thanks for sharing one last point is a big one these guys are so quiet and people friendly I can ride anywhere and not offend anyone other than the guys on Harley's that are jealous they can't ride the places I ride over and over without pissing people off and I get 2 times better gas mileage than they do.
Thank you. Whoa, another Kymco Super 8. That must be one hell of a bike! Look at you living the life, having 2 scoots. I have noticed in my area, that either a lot more people are buying them, or pulling them out due to gas pricing.

I would take the one with the GY6 engine which is the Tao Tao. For example, I am not a fan of the GET motor that is in the Ruckus. The only bikes I would really choose over mine would be the Honda Click (Philippines) or the Yamaha Aerox 155 (Europe).

Now the big question.. where’d you get your scooter? Maybe I didn’t watch hard enough.. but I’ve been looking for a good minute for a scooter ..online and off.. leaning towards a Tao Tao but I wouldn’t mind something like yours, simply need to know where I can get one 😬😬
Kachi's Kid Oh OK, I figured hope was but I just wasn’t sure .. so at this point I could purchase it, I guess I’ll just look at RUclips for the whole assembly situation.. sorry to keep asking questions but did you receive a title or some thing with the scooter when you got it in the mail?
To be fair, only one or two of your points apply specifically to the GY6, I.E. the purchase price, and the customization. Pretty much all of the other arguments could apply to anything from a Ruckus to a Vino. And yes, you can get cheap GY6 parts, but there are so many clones of clones of clones of Chinese parts, often made with hand-me-down dies and tooling, that the spare parts market is a bit of a gamble.
Good you are a fair person, I meet so many who aren't...lol. Very good points, but the Ruckus and the Vino don't have the negative rep. of a Chinese scoot. This bike is a builders dream for someone to take it apart, and build their own bike. Just letting people know that you don't need $3000 (50cc Ruckus) and above to start your scooting life. Clones of clones is okay, in the hopes one day they will get it right...lol. Some people need Girbaud's, but a lot of others just need jeans. Just an opinion piece, people need to make themselves happy with their purchase, as I did.

Tao Tao is a chinese brand but it is one of the more reputable brands slightly below quality like SYM (taiwan) and KYMCO (korea). it is not a cheap chinese scooter like you see at all these wholesalers.
Scooters are fun and simple but the initial price has to be low for it to make sense. Once you pass 3-4K$$ you need to start lookin at a used motorcycle. I think I would need atleast a 150cc most def if throw the wife on the back. My only concern is long term durability and sourcing parts for these Chinese scooters. I was lookin at a Honda PCX150 but even those are built in China.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly on the money for the engine your getting has to make sense. Even though PCX is built in China standards are elevated because it is Honda. How about a Taiwanese scooter?
@@kachiskid I know KYMCO is Tawainese plus they partnered with BMW and Honda at one time. They also have a dealership network here in the states so their scooters are slighty more expensive. I like the tachometer on the Taotao IDK how accurate it is tho

Dang Mr. Scott... probably never read a truer statement!
Agreed, beside that, people do not take care of them, they do not change oil, belts, breaks, valves adjustment, they think its a plug and play, that has not maintenance, instead they are just motorcycles with an automatic transmission, therefore they require all the maintenance that a motorcycle does.
Excellent! Fun and worries! Thank you!
Thank you too!
Nice review brother!
Thanks for watching.
LOL. I also took my motorcycle license test on a 150 scooter. Easy as pie. That is a great tip.
Heck yeah, I knew you guys were out there. lol. I had to take mine on a raggedy Honda Rebel.
I've got a 125cc Lance Cabo about a month ago and I love it 👍
Nice bike. SYM is a good bike company.

I like to get the “200cc Gas Moped Scooter Falcon”, what do you think 🤔 on falcon?
Looks like a good bike for the price. It is a little misleading with "200cc" when the engine is really a 170cc. If I didn't have a scooter, this is the one I would buy. Thanks for the sub.
I have the 168.9 cc Falcon 200 from Redfoxpowersports and have 2000 miles on it . As it sits stock, it will go 62 mph stops on a dime ...I never replaced or changed anything. It is reliable as a scooter can be and seems to be made with much better, heavier parts than any chinese bike I've compared it to. Just remember to change to new oil before you start it and ALWAYS USE premium, which doesn't have ethanol , and you'll have $4000 more in your pocket than buying Honda, Vespas, etc.....
we got the same bike bro and I love mine as well. Keep on Keeping on .
