I think one thing they should work on is making the combat feel meaty. Like, you bisected the dude with your shield, and it was like...plop. It didn't have enough oomph to it.

Yeah I enjoyed it. It wasn't overly amazing or have any groundbreaking new things but it was solid, the gameplay was engaging and I liked the maps. If they expand upon the gameplay, give a better story, and add more gear choices I honestly believe they have a seriously good recipe for a LOT of success in the coming years. Anyhow, yeah, I recommend it as well. It's cheap and well better than its price which is awesome.
It's worth the price of entry I think.

So you actually do get both XP and loot from enemies, just not in the tutorial, but instead of losing souls when you die you lose any aquired XP you have gotten since you last bonfire and you get once chance to get your lost XP back, but once you level up your XP goes back down to zero so technically when you die you only lose the XP since you last leveled up and you get one skill point everytime you level up which can be spent on a skill tree but only at bonfires and resting at bonfires will restore both your health and mana, as well as fill up any consumables from your storage to max but all mobs and elites do respawn, just not bosses, the game actually has a pretty robust loot system with one handed swords, axes and spears, sheilds, as well as two handed swords, you can use any one handed weapon with a sheild or you can also dual weild any two one handed weapons, and while the game doesnt have individual pieces of armor we do get a bunch of armor sets, which just like the weapons and sheilds can be upgraded, there are a ton of maps and areas in the game, as well as a ng+ system, i ended up putting over 100 hours into a single character across 5 playthroughs and i just maxed out the skill tree at the begining of my 5th playthrough, with what appears to be no hard level cap, either that or its like 999 or something like that considering my character is level 536

There were so many cuts I don't think a single full combat encounter was displayed. Very jarring cutting up a single sentence to minimise dead air.

Victor Vran is a nice game but they could make it a little more interesting...for example putting armor sets or the possibility to have some builds
@@sydney_losstarot i like the simplicity tbh it feels different than other arpgs. has more of a hack'n slash feel to it that i appreciate and a great staring point for anyone that has never played an arpg before.

Not the OP, but I loved Titan Quest. It was my first non-Diablo ARPG and I'm looking forward to Titan Quest 2. But I'm almost very interested in Path of Exiles 2 because of the mouse aiming, keyboard movement control setup. I think it might transform ARPGs as we know them.

The +1 vitality gives you +26 hp. It's incremental in stats, but your hp goes up substantially. It would be nicer(and harder to create) if it was 1st person. Looks like a nice game.

@@lakatosstefan6926 it's not like poe, which, in my opinion, is too much difficult, but it's actually a nice game with a nice passive skill tree and a good amount of Unique/Legendaries

It was good at the Alpha with open World. Now its a decent game. Fun but with a lot polish work needed to be done
In the story Achilles when to the Underworld after he die! So it makes sense that they have another type of world besides the normal one. This game is good. It’s not made from a top developer and it’s still a good game so people should keep that in mind appreciate this simple game and stop been so arrogant.

@@NyxVellum as much as i love exanima that game is definitely something else. If it didn't hit the spot right from the trailer then i would not recommend it.
Its brutal, hard, you need to remember layouts of acts(until you find maps) and controls feels very weird from the beginning but funny af and very unic and when you learn combat it feels super cool and rewarding. I would recommend it but its very unic cup of tea and not everyone will enjoy it.
On my first playthrough i was literally tried to paint the map bc i was constantly getting lost 🤣
