- Ive spent years and tried hundreds of recipes to make a real Greek Coney Island. I got this simple perfect recipe from a young greek who worked in his uncles hot dog shop. ITS FAR AND AWAY THE BEST HOT DOG SAUCE I EVER TRIED. AND THE SIMPLEST TO MAKE COINCIDENTALLY

I've been practicing this recipe for 10 years and I have figured out a really nice recipe but I'd use a thickener if I were making the recipe you're talking about because that water will go right through the bread..When looking at restaurants sling that chili it does have a thickness to it.
@@Japan24k you only put a couple teaspoons on your dog just before you eat it. I understand what you are saying. I have just never experienced a soggy bun
Looks like something worth trying, but I prefer Texas Weiner sauce as found in North Jersey. Definitely will try this, though. Thanks!

I'll have to try this one...curry powder? Strange for a Greek sauce, but it should be good. Color me, skeptical, but ready tomesperiment.
Let me know. Be sure you have enough fat in it anc it’s soupy. The smell will tell you it’s the real deal
I believe it will need salt and personally I have to add raw chopped onion on my hotdog. I will try this sauce and let you know.
When do you put the chili in refrigerator ? Before or After cooked?
@@amandabowman-dors-2941 you can put water to cover your hamburger in fridge an hour or more before it just helps break down the texture of the meat. If you have a grinder then fine grind your hamburger
MIGHT wanna add a bit of salt too !

How about frying very fine onion n the oil..
How about not doing so.
I’ve tried many sauces w onion. You are putting LOTS of fresh finely diced onion on top already so……(?)
