Handler a term for live TV, used regularly. Famous people have assistants who handle their time, actions, travel, and help keep track of what has been said and when it needs to be reigned in. Live interviews of this nature are fast and intense, and high pressure, especially as this interviewer is doing it. It is very easy to trip up and say something you should not or run over time without getting in what you came to say. That is in fact what the interviewer is trying to do. Trump has handlers too, he just apparently does not listen to them. In this case, Omarosa's husband is fulfilling that roll probably because she trusts him most, but it could be somebody else.

Handler a term for live TV, used regularly. Famous people have assistants who handle their time, actions, travel, and help keep track of what has been said and when it needs to be reigned in. Live interviews of this nature are fast and intense, and high pressure, especially as this interviewer is doing it. It is very easy to trip up and say something you should not or run over time without getting in what you came to say. That is in fact what the interviewer is trying to do. Trump has handlers too, he just apparently does not listen to them. In this case, Omarosa's husband is fulfilling that roll probably because she trusts him most, but it could be somebody else.
