I’ve tied my share of fish pellet flies over the years. (But never cast them at Kevin’s!) I’ve found that if the pellet moves it can spook’em and the best ones float low. You got it to work!

Be cool to see you do some more tropical aquarium fish lures this winter. The bosemani rainbow and peacock gudgens would both make for some crazy paint jobs and some good fun facts!

i caught several small perch on a booger when iwas about 9 lol.
Should do a challenge video where you set 3 timers making lures, 10 minutes 1 lure 2hrs 2nd lure and 24 hrs to make 3rd and see what one catchers the most/biggest fish.
We absolutely NEED more weird experiment videos. And with the right weird bait and title, could easily go viral and give you 10s of thousands of subscribers. Bunch of fishing shorts and unique vids blowing up lately

Golden Rainbow Trout. Originated in Petersburg, WV. You should give it a google and read the story of “Little Camouflage” and how that one rainbow trout started the whole strain.

The trout you probably saw was a golden rainbow trout. They stock them out here in Maryland with regular rainbows. Beautiful fish

Instead of bleed checker try some Kamar Varnish… very neutral sealer for everything! It also comes in a spray can so you don’t have to use the air brush!😎

Your creativity is certainly on a higher level than most. I made the mistake of not reading the title and thought that you had made a batch of chicken nugget lures. I agree with gavinlane9251 about a human food lure series. That would be very interesting!
Also I’ve stopped using baking soda with ca as it’s fairly porous and foamy in spots when using it in thick amounts but have found most dry dirt or sand works well for hardness or saw dust is also great it’s amazing Stuff and works with a heap of powders and granules with a variety of characteristics! Braided fishing line combined with ca is very versatile too! Chopped up fine as a filler or used as binding it’s very strong!
What does the baking soda do to the sawdust / super glue mix? Also, after watching the full video, and being new here, I love that your dog knows that "onto the next bait" means you're done and he's going outside!
My vote is for a Dorito chip lure! Nacho Cheese please! Because you all know how addictive those things are. Likely to create a feeding frenzy.

i made a small little one for stock trout and it gets slammed cause i'm just mimicking the pellet food they give em before release and the biggest one so far was 11lb rainbow but after a while the pellet does break, is there a wood you would recommend, mine also floats and sometimes shimmies down like 5-6 in.
im so glad you didnt bust out the mess screen and think about adding scales.....still waiting for the chip lure.

Shoot right after the swim test I would have put a tail on it and painted it black and you got a perfect pollywog! I am glad it worked out good great Idea! Maybe another project from this one.
