A couple years ago we hadn't heard from my grandma and grandpa in a few days, we were texting them and getting no response we asked some other family members where they were and they were like "idk they probably went camping" after a few more days we started panicking because no one knew where they were and hadn't heard from them... finally my grandma texted my mom and was like "oh yeah we went to Antarctica for 2 weeks" lmao ??

this was so nostalgic for me. my mom took me on a NatGeo expedition in 2017 and we had a very similar experience. I love that y'all have this memory. 10/10 recommend printing large photographs (maybe even on metal).

I wish we could have heard your mom talk more. I know she is nervous doing videos and podcasts but a few times she piped up to say she wanted to tell the story and you'd just fully interrupt her and take over and she'd stop talking. You do this a lot and I know it's your personality but sometimes it's hard to watch. I'm glad you had a nice trip and I did love hearing about it, but when you have a guest can you let them tell stories, too?
Absolutely agree! Whenever you're always just waiting for someone to stop talking so you can talk, you're not really listening, and you're also more inclined to just interrupt them. I get the struggle to not do it, but truly this was way too much of his mom getting cut off.
38 minutes in and I already think that this expedition needs to be a book.... So happy to hear about it all and Momma is someone who many of us we wish we had... This is just fun through and through... Much love!!!

I had a friend who lived/worked at McMurdo station in Antarctica off and on over the last few years and she sent me 2 shot glasses & 2 rocks glasses that she bought there (they say U.S. Antarctic Program, South Pole Station). I love having something that was once in Antarctica.

Chris I Love you so much and you are my favorite RUclipsr, but when I hear that you want to go with your mom to the artic to see polar bears it breaks my heart because they are in the worst situation ever, dying because the ice they live on is melting thanks to the co2 our planes and boats are emitting. So I understand that you want to go there and I think it’s nice that they had such strong rules to protect biodiversity on Antarctica, but please be more mindful of all the repercussions our decisions have. Just wanted to say it to get it out of my system and because it really helps me personally when people make me aware of those things. Thank you so much for all the good content and laughs ❤
