@just Abhi I am doing a personally adapted version of the GAPS diet, under supervision of a specialized nutritionist now. The diet for example includes meat stock, and I am cooking chicken for 45 minutes in a pressure cooker instead of a couple of hours in a normal pan. Also for example fish, I take right out of the freezer and defrost it under warm water, cook it and eat it. It's already going much better with my gut and overall health. I don't have to be that strict now, I can for example eat leftovers from the day before without much problems. However, even though my (gut)health got better, I still kept struggling with the heart thing. For that I went into trauma therapy, specifically NARM and somatic experiencing. Heart Rhythm problems and extreme sensitivity to everything can be (partially) related to unprocessed trauma. This trauma therapy is very physical, which is needed for trauma. Had 3 sessions and it seems to help alot for the heart! But I don't want to cheer too early :) So in short, I would recommend you to look into GAPS, specifically Campbell-Mcbride's book 'Gut and physiology syndrome' (2020) and perhaps look into whether traumatherapy such as NARM & Somatic experiencing could benefit you too. Good luck! If you have more questions I'm happy to answer.
PS: in the comment I mentioned the functional health practitioner, that helped me in the first stages when everything was extremely bad. She worked with lots of supplements. Once I gained more energy to cook, I started with the GAPS thing, so I could get everything out of the food instead of supplements. I hope my story is clear enough :)

From someone who also had a loss of digestive function (from stress, undiagnosed gluten and histamine intolerances, gut damage), I use 2-3 broad spectrum digestive enzymes (Digest Premium or Gold , Enzymatica) 15 mins before EVERY meal, eat only cooked beef, liver, fish and lamb, plenty of extra mineral salt each day (with healthy oils like olive oil, clarified butter etc..). No uncooked foods AT ALL. No grains, nuts, seeds, or plants AT ALL (even though I ate them for decades...they can really inflame a damaged gut) Slowly, the gut does heal and digestion / nutrient absorption will return. Best of luck 👍

Great advice. My own experience has taught me eliminating high histamine foods is worthwhile. It takes 21 days for histamine to reduce to normal levels. A carnivore type diet for a month will address this, along with alleviating SIBO or improving it to the point where enough microbes have moved back down into the colon from the small intestine. Methylation really is key when it comes to chronic histamine intolerance. Histamine is such an understated and overlooked chemical. A word of caution with glutamine: Do not use in supplement form if you suffer from psychiatric illness. Heal your biological membranes first.

As a MCAS, hEDS, unknown autoimmune disease patient, with strange labs, ive be given more wrong/bad info by specialist in large teaching hospital/clinics with MCAS and EDS. I have difficulty remembering especially when symptoms are at theyre worst. Because histamine intolerance is complicated to the individual and in managing treatment, its too bad you could put the info into visual format. My eyelids swell when I eat histamine foods, does anyone else experience this? Sometimes my forehead, temples, back of head swell also. My eyes get reddish and ache in severe times. I am sensitive to the majority of foods on the list and more, even most vitamins (probably additives and/or absorbic acid). After I eat, it sounds like a war in my gut as it digests everything. The only thing that somewhat helps, is ST Francis Allergy Tincture. Does anyone know if there are any extra clean DAO Supplements, that are vegan? I have been for blood work, everything is good except extremely low VIt D and Iron. I mentioned to the allergist that I feel it is Histamine Intolerance related to leaky gut and he said we doctor's don't believe in such things. Then add Oxalate toxicity talk about a double whammy. Then add salicylic acid issues all from food in here Come the Histamine-issues. It all comes from (for me i feel ) not knowing I had MTHFR
and was not managing it properly.
It’s absolutely horrible. After I did my DNA test and found this out, Thank God for Dr. Ben Lynch & Sterling hill taught me a lot.
But it can take years and it is still taking years because they’re still pushing things in foods and supplements like folic acid which we cannot use, or tolerate. Synthetic vitamins takes up space in our body, unusable we cannot convert to bioavailable so they end up taking up space and bioavailable vitamins in cant get in.
Same thing with the cheap synthetic B 12 vitamins takes up space in our bodies , and it’s unusable so we don’t have room for the bio available since our body cannot turn synthetic into bioavailable

Each time body absorbs B-3 individual gets flushing, headaches etc etc.
Once or twice a week I take Niacin just 250 MG on empty stomach for purpose to get flush, also cleans my skin, hair follicles , capillaries.
Maybe it sends the feedback that more Histamine might be coming into the system & maybe kicks off DAO in Kidneys to synthesize .
Laboratory testing is required to check if B-3 is awakening DAO Synthesis.
Getting flush & brush massage after turning Beet red I noticed no reactions to Histamine or very mild that Quercetin mitigates.
I would like to learn more about Niacin flush, what type of Histamines get released what is the difference between B-3 flush and Histamines intolerance, which I happen not getting any more.

Get your master anti-oxidant enzyme, ceruloplasmin, back up to optimal levels. This requires the following 1. a reasonably clean liver, 2. good magnesium status, 3. food based retinol status, 4. good food based copper status, and detox iron, especially from microscopic rusty iron filings "fortified" into the food supply, and stress/adrenals/ANS functioning reasonably well. Chronic stress results in excess metallothionine, which binds up copper like crazy, enabling toxic iron to accumulate in the liver and screw up all kinds of biochemistry that would take place in a healthy, non-oxidized liver.

Drink 1 to 1.5 gallons of distilled water every day for two weeks
-and if you're brave, desperate or just ready for a serious fix...
research urine therapy. It might just change your life in just a couple days.
I was so sensitive to histamines I couldn't even say the word without getting itchy and now it's been 8 days of distilled water and urine therapy and I can already eat things I haven't eaten in years.

if you took it since a long time and you have no issues then it should be fine, even if it wouldn't be for others. because everyone can have individual levels they tolerate. it is a herb, mostly a wild green or green leafy vegetable with some of the flower parts. greens are natural anti-histamines, except for spinach and arugula. since it can balance serotonine and stress hormone levels it can lower IBS symptoms. so I see no reason to quit it, but good reasons to go on taking it. just be careful with the light sensitivity of skin and eyes. wear high quality sunglasses with an approved label of UV protection.

Thank you very much for your wonderful work. I have a question. What to think of my Internal Medicine Doctor who prescribed me a double dose of Blexten (20 mg) for my puritus, urticaria, along with Zantac (20 mg), to be taken every single day, itchy or not. I'm puzzled. I'm thinking that this protocol would do nothing towards healing the gut. What do you think about that, Dr. Chris?

I am breaking out in hives 3-4 times a day recently… I was taking Zyrtec for 4 months every or every other day to control spring allergies and occasional hives from eating gluten (or so I thought ) but now if I don’t take Zyrtec I am getting crazy hives multiple times a day. I had to stop Zyrtec cuz it has speed in it and I was getting heart palpitations and kept me up at night. But now the hives are crazy. I don’t know what to do. I can’t take allergies meds any more bc I think that made it worse for me with hives and not being able to control my histamine response. I can’t live this way. Help!

It’s not complicated… let’s simplify it for everyone who is struggling with tmi.
Just start with elimination diet of beef, salt and water … continue for a week
Next, slowly add foods like, zucchini, cabbage, cauliflower, white rice, kidneys (have DAO enzyme it’s safe), liver (goat/lamb: don’t bother with liverwurst), asparagus, omega 3 rich fish.
Add these minerals & vitamins to your daily routine:
    •ZINC 30-50 mg per day!
    •vitC 1000mg to 3000mg/day
•B6 10-20mg (don’t take more it makes you feel better, however it’s a double edged sword too much can cause neuropathy (demagh to nerves)
    •B3
    •B12
    •Magnesium
    •Copper (you’ll get this from lamb/goat liver)
    •Calcium
    •Biotin
Abstain from these: TOMATOES! Potatoes Cheese, alcohol, Avacados, cured meats, fermented foods, soys, legumes, mustard, chocolates. Sugary foods
Also DO NOT EVER take DAO (domaine oxidase) supplements. Messes up with your DAO feedback loop.
Workout keep moving, if you’re feeling drained take some zinc.

Georg me too, my doctor telling me it has nothing to do with food but my body is over reacting. Ridiculous.. all I want to do is to heal my gut and stop the histamine to be leaked to my blood then for there I can fix the histamine itself. I think I’ve leaky gut & that’s why we have histamine intolerance. People say drink bone broth but I can’t cause it’s going to make my symptoms worse. I want a way for the leaky gut for histamine intolerance’s gut

    • @twiinpk3r

Malicious Conspiracy i have to find a specialist in gut health but it cost a ton of money cuz its private. And where i live there is not a lot of them so idk where to find one. I think i will just be taking anti histamines until i figure it out. I also believe that i have leaky gut, bacteria overgrowth or candida thats causing histamine intolerance.

Never once did I hear anything about getting tested such as a GI MAP, heavy metals, mycotoxin, organic acids, etc. Do your homework and check out a functional medicine doctor or someone who can help you get the correct tests to find out whats going on.. I've already been through the ringer with primary care doctors and with blood work and other tests.. It will get you nowhere as far as I'm concerned.. Most doctors have no clue about this issue..
