    As an online TOEFL/IELTS/CPE trainer, who's been at it for years, I affirm this is great stuff. Unlike many other videos that are full of fluff and nonsense, this is the real McCoy, concise, clear, and straight to the point. Thanks for a great contribution, Mike.

    I want people to be aware of how broken TOEFL is. I'm not sure who grades the essays or speaking, but I really think this American based test is sending jobs to India and they're grading everyone. There's no other way to explain how a B2+ can get a 15 in her writing. Meanwhile, that same writing would be a 26 in L.A. or Bogota. TOEFL is broken. Try doing IELTS instead! This coming from the BEST TOEFL instructor out there.

    Based on my personal experience I really don´t recommend passing Toefel from home, I have been preparing for a long period, but when I paid and everything, the day I had the exam there was no one to attend me, as I have contacted them by email but the same happened, nobody is answering me. So we can say I have waste 250 dollars for nothing.

    Michael is a clown and he knows he ships all jobs to India. Who grades the speaking and essays? Are they Americans? And even if they're another nationality, they don't have a legitimate rubric to follow.

    How I wish they directly take people passing from English medium examination in their previous colleges for universities or PR without the need for TOEFL or ielts or whatever. Such a headache with waste of time and money . It would be smart if only they let people who pass from non English speaking medium take these English tests

    • @sansuarez7790
      @sansuarez7790 4 года назад +5

      is this the best English you can use? Your structure is poor; there is no clear idea; there are mistakes with your tenses...This is exactly why we need our students to present and get a reasonable score on the exams... you still have a long way to go in terms of your English knowledge. Just from these lines I can tell your level is A2-B1, and academic English at colleges is at least C1. Prepare better so you stop wasting time and money, and you can stop blaming schools for requiring a high-level so you can understand the classes given to you.

    For the integrated writing section, I am suffering from the short time to write the summary, I studied 55 questions and wrote about 20 summaries using templates, I can complete the summary in 30 minutes or more, I need a score of 20 only, do you have any solution?

      include fewer details, don't be repetitive. focus on point by point without saying more.

    Hi. I had a question. Is it okay to use templates on the Internet for integrated writing task? Does it get full score?

    • @Денис-ж3ф5р

      Leyla Parsa ask yourself how they can understand whether you use templates.

    • @sansuarez7790
      @sansuarez7790 4 года назад

      @@Денис-ж3ф5р We can tell if test-takers have memorized templates based on the rest of the writing and their over-all answers. So, no, you should not use templates as more than a guideline.

      @@sansuarez7790 no one can, it is humanly impossible. If I came up with my own templates for each type of essays and memorized them, no one in the world would be able to prove it. The entire language is one huge template , does it mean I can’t use “present simple form “ because that is a template. Thinking this way I can find many templates in your message.

    Information about the TOEFL test are quite confusing. You tell us that an effective response for this task is 150 to 225 words while other offical guide say that it should be a minimum of 300 words???!! Who to believe??

    • @TOEFLtv
      @TOEFLtv  2 года назад +1

      When you test on a computer at a test center, scratch paper is provided for taking notes. If you are taking the TOEFL iBT Home Edition, you need to use a whiteboard or plastic sleeve and an erasable marker.

    So, won't I get a 0 if write more than 225 words? My teacher told me that I have to write as a minimum 150 and a maximum 225. Otherwise, I will get a 0 in this section. Is this true?

    • @dazhu6729
      @dazhu6729 4 года назад

      Of course it is not true. The example in the video has 276 words and it got the highest score of 5.

    • @sansuarez7790
      @sansuarez7790 4 года назад

      You would only get a 0 if you do not write anything. Writings are not graded by quantity but by quality. However, to show understadning of the task, you would need a min of 150 words. Doing more than 250-300 words is perfectly fine, as long as you answer the question correctly and completely. Just remember that you only have 20 minutes to work on this task.
