Hey, I've been watching a few of your videos on combat, and I just have to say thanks. I appreciate the work you put into making them, and you've really helped me out in my own experience with Exanima.
I guess at the moment my biggest issue is trying to understand my character's movement as relative to the camera, I was over reliant on using spacebar and now that I've tried to stop, I have become quite shit whenever fighting facing at the camera - strafing and dodging are ludicrously hard now that I'm not re-centering every two seconds. I don't know if you'd want to dedicate an entire thing on that though, seeing as how you could see this video and the combat tutorial as light helpers on that. As I'm still getting adjusted to the game, I'll keep an eye out for what I could have help with in the future. :)
I find that moving side to side often makes me take little unnecessary hits I wouldn't otherwise get if I just back up. And often times two small back steps is enough to dodge any attack while putting you in perfect range for a counter attack.
This may be because you're circling too wide, or too narrow. you can circle with precision using by turning the mouse with your steps. The only issue with dodging backwards, is continued use of backwards movement keeps you on the center-line. Although, Styles like Karate use forward and backwards movement quite effectively for counter strikes, while circling creates angles, escapes, and counters.
You're one of the best players of Exanima I've seen, man! Good job on these videos. Your music choices are fine. What's your opinion on wilder swings than what you're doing? I can usually get pretty wildly powerful feints going with a ton of cursor movement, though it leads to a bit of a "drunken wobble" in your character's gait. You might see what I mean in the videos I have; the feinting isn't as smooth as in here, but there's more power. It's 2-handed, though.
For two handed not so sure, I know that wilder swings will put you off balance, and it will take you longer to take another step in exchange for extra power
Is wearing a helmet just a GoT reference, or actual advice? I've been so focused on buying better weapons only. All this time I thought I to be accurate with the cross hair to land a hit.
this game is groundbreaking,
and you are an excellent tactician....thanks for the tips

Appreciate it bud. Is there anything else you think I could cover that I didn't already?

Good job. It will come in handy to drill a new generation of Exanima players. :)

Nice vid!
also use your cursor to block in the respective direction.
Hi, one moment I'm interested, how you do dash, hold, double tap or sprint? And which variant is more effective? Thank you.
I personally use hold. I know some people use double tap, but it's just a personal preference

you should wear a helmet at all times
