- Wayne and I headed up to Alaska to hunt caribou on Dalton Highway. It was definitely an adventure. An injury, getting sick and walking on the tundra made this a hunt I won't soon forget.

Man, what a hunt. I appreciate the invite brother. Can’t wait to get after it with ya again!
@@wayneclark4927 I’m glad you were able to come. It was an experience.
Hunt of a lifetime and success in Alaska is no sure thing by any means. Awesome awesome awesome
@@JKnox63 thanks. It was a tougher hunt than I was anticipating.
Probably the most difficult hunting in Alaska is reaching the rifle area off of the Dalton Rd.
it gets worse if you have to pack out a caribou. Those are very respectable caribou for that area.
@@Nello353 it definitely doesn’t get easier, haha.
What an adventure - congrats on all the success!
@@jeffbitton1836 thanks man. It was a little bit more of an adventure than I signed up for, lol.
So glad for the Lord...directing our steps!!! Congrats on another great hunt and major props for powering through a NASTY injury! Not one I want to try. Keep up the great videos!
@@gvsoutdoors2673 the injury and illness definitely made it tough. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing your adventure to Alaska for Caribou! Looks like a badass hunt, minus the crappy tundra. Hope you are recovering rapidly from the injury!
@@BigJohn505 thanks for watching John. The foot is almost healed.
Great hunt and way to push through the pain and torture of the sickness and foot. Looking forward to the rest of the hunts this year! May our paths someday cross in the woods!
@@DTreeMonkey thanks man. We’ll bump into each other soon.
Did that hunt last year. Three of us, three bulls to pack out pretty much the same distance you had. It is no joke slogging 6 miles across that tundra each way packing 80lbs out or more.
@@alanjones8555 it’s an experience
5 miles out and then 5 back is legit up there! Hard earned!
@@OrinCarpenter it was tough for sure.
Awesome video.
@@coloradocatchcleanandcook3426 thanks for watching
How did you get the meat home
@@ColumbiaOutdoors mid state meat in North Pole shipped it home via Alaska Airlines freight. I had to drive to ATL to pick it up. It was very affordable in my opinion.
I really don’t get the RUclipsrs that are begging for subs and likes while saying “I don’t really tell anyone about the places I hunt ” . Why becoming a RUclipsr in the first place ? Telling people you want to avoid them , you don’t trust them.
@@andreiilies319 Thanks for watching my video and for the comment. I can appreciate your opinion and I’ll do my best to answer your questions. I don’t really feel like I beg for subs and likes. If you like my videos then of course I’d love for you to like and subscribe bc that will help more people see my videos. If you don’t like me or my videos I hope you are able to find someone you do like and sub to their channel. I don’t really consider myself a RUclipsr. Maybe I am, but this is far from my job. I hunt a lot and I make hunting videos bc I love watching other peoples hunts so I thought a few people might like watching mine. I don’t really understand the last portion of your comment. Every situation is different but I don’t think people should tell random people where they hunt. If you have a relationship with someone and you want to share info that’s great, but I don’t personally know anyone that is a serious hunters that openly tells random people where they hunt. A general area is fine but the definitely not the exact location.
@@SClivingOutdoors I’m not hating you brother , you seem to be a nice guy. It’s just an observation . You’re not the only one saying it that way , those other folks have big hunting Channels . It means that my opinion is less valuable . It’s just a culture difference. Good luck to you 🫡
What Caliber and bullet did you use?
