  • Dr. Roth advises medical students on the importance of being aware of and reaching out to help address other issues that impact healthcare in your community to become a future healthcare leader.
    Dr. Paul Roth is the former University of New Mexico School of Medicine Dean and Chancellor of the New Mexico Health Science Center. Dr. Roth has had a variety of leadership positions at UNM, including department chair of emergency medicine, chief medical officer, and director of ambulatory programs.
    Dr. Roth created the the nation’s first civilian Disaster Medical Assistance Team, and headed this emergency team following the 9/11 attack on New York City and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti that claimed more than 200,000 lives.
