Great job! I saw several videos of ppl making such tables but they were using many expensive tools and materials. And they were so pro that it wasnt even remotely possible to follow their steps. Your "tutorial" is the first such table "doable" imo by amateur. Thank you so much. I will try to do this table for my kitchen.
I didn`t intend to make use of this woodworking book, t.co/oLg9l5gL3F but rather curious about it. I had been truly amazed right after trying it. It never disappointed me in my wish to acquire more information about the art of wood working. Many topics were covered, including everything from wood types to developing your workshop.?
I made the same thing, I used metal brackets on the legs to keep them stable and painted the legs with an oil rubbed bronze paint to get the matte shine of metal. I didnt know about the edging... thanks!!
The second it started i noticed the sagging in the center, putting the plywood on edge to make the skirt and supports would've been better for longevity of the table. Also, you should buy 2 sheets of plywood to do something like this, it's still cheaper but you'll have more material to strengthen your table.
Guys I found a website on which more then 16000 woodworking Projects and plans available I am learning so much on their. the website is t.co/SGIXIPXR0z all you guys should try it
How has this table held up? I own a small bar and this would be a great table. Do you think it would hold up well being just a plywood sheet? Or should it be reinforced more? It's a bar so we don't really overload the tables with weight. Also if I do go this route...what protective coating would you recommend for it? Since we do serve cold drinks the table may get damaged
I made a few mistakes building from scratch and learned from them so you don't have to make them! The written instructions are now on my blog with updated Leg Modifications that eliminate the SIDE WOBBLE concerns. Thank you for the constructive criticism, always building and improving! I would add Metal L-Brackets to strengthen. Update video: ruclips.net/video/RZdgcwOv97c/видео.html
Thanks! Yes I am working on reinforcing them and posting updates on my blog. I stood on the table without any issues. I see the legs breaking if you have substantial weight 150+ lbs on the top and someone kicking on purpose to break it. but if you were to just kick the table from the side it without any weight on top, it would just move across the floor. But honestly who goes around kicking or pushing the table that hard from the side haha.
There is some side wobble similar issue that Modern Builds has on his modern split top dining table. I revised my plans to make the table legs more stable on my blog but I have not rebuilt this table to test those plans. But if that still has some side wobble I would add a stretcher down the middle the way Modern Builds did it. That should stabilize everything.
it is nice that you only use 2 power tools but I do get a bit frustrated when people say "this project can be done with only a drill and a saw and then they use a $100 pocket hole jig.
this is very unstable table because legs dont have any support! If you will hit the table from the side it will break the legs and will fall and can hurt someone close by! Do not recommend anyone to make such design!

i want make gaming table, but i cant find a simple one. so im here T_T the problem is, i need the most efficient for simple cable management for the desk and place for pc tower and monitor
When glueing plywood together, it rarely perfectly aligns. How did you clean the edge flush with just the circular saw? Unless, one has the patience and skill to hand sand all this, it is a dubious claim to make furniture quality stuff with just a drill and a circular saw.
Haha thanks! Yeah thats what you get with Plywood Sheets. Its not too bad though and I stood on top of the table and sat in the middle and it didn't bend at all. Most 4 x 8 sheet plywood will have some bow to them.
Hey buddy, I want to make a 100x200cm plywood tabletop for a standing desk (this standing desk: ruclips.net/video/EXjR-o5gu2w/видео.html&ab_channel=Kraftmade). Which plywood width would you recommend to make the tabletop sturdy enough for a 3x27" inch monitor setup? I was thinking 3/4¨ is enough, what do you think? Also, is there anything, in particular, I should have an eye on when making the tabletop? Thanks in advance! Have a good one!
Yeah would make it differently now! But I have been using it for over a year now and its actually one of my garage workshop tables haha. Its held up surprisingly well (after I made some modifications in my update video).

Best diy i' ve seen. Others use tools and equipment that obviously nobody have in home.

If don't care about the details or have lots of elbow grease and time and skill, this method will work for you.
Especially in an apartment
I just love the beautiful clean simple design. Kudos.

2" wide plywood 'beam' screwed to the center, between the two leg assemblies (on edge) will prevent sagging
Two 3 inch strips running between the legs across the length of the table would work well too.
Great work man, love the easy guide with minimal tools! Post more modern rustic stuff!
Yup.... this is it..... I'm making it..... question....I bought hairpin legs..... would that make the table easier in general?

Well done bro
Great tutorial!
Looks great!
I love your wood studio, it's very clean and organized.
Nice work!
Gorgeous
Nice work. I would have tried to place the "sub-frame" pieces on edge instead of flat.

gonna make the perfect table for me
So beautiful i loved it , nice project my friend
Easy to build. I can even make one as a beginner.
Winner!
Modern, easy, simple
I wonder if it’s sway from side to side??

No one cares.

Wow!! You’re very good!!
It has a curve towards the middle tough
If you don't mind my asking ,,what was the total cost in making this?
Love 💕 this
Good just b where did you get the sheet of laminate
Nice looking table.
Beautiful!
How is the strength of the legs when the table is bumped left/right forward/backward? Looks great!
On your drawing, when you cut the 1.5 x72' how on earth do you remain with 1.5x~36 when you have a board of 96'?
Is the tabletop bent or does it just look a little warped due to your camera?
it bends imo, too long for that thickness
Do the wabble test.
This is awesome! nicely done
Dope
Do you think there would be anyway to copy this build but Make the legs detachable for a rental company?
Nice and simple, thanks!!
Is it just me or is the table bowing down in the middle..?🤔
first thing I noticed lol
No doub. With one layer of plywood, it is expected to happen
I noticed
Plywood willaways do that
It's you
You did a great job creating the table. Can I modify your plans and use 2x8 pine boards or other boards?
That's what I'm planning to do. And 2x3 or 2x4 for the legs
Does the table rack back and forth?
wow
Simple built table and professional

Good Job!
Great table and work! but needs more reinforcement on the legs!! no lateral support.. any lateral force is dangerous.

Paul Tran DIY who? Kids or friends ha ha, sorry for my english, add l metal shape greetings
switch to angle bar for legs
Only Plywood ki cost bta den ?
Really cool table👌
Plywood for the leg? Im worried its not so durable..
Plywood is plenty strong but his joinery is trash.
This is beautiful! I want to make one to fit 8 people, but don't think I'll need two pieces of plywood.
What are you talking about? A 4x8 sheet of plywood will allow seating x 6 on the sides and one on each end.
Probably better to glue 2 sheets together to prevent sag on center
Nice job. I need to of this for chopping meat for my wedding. Going to make it. Thanks
Keep up the goodwork .. 😎
What will happen when water ir liquid spills on it?
thank you!!!
Thanks bud
Nice video.
Greetings from Germany

Can u give me or share the measurements ? Thanks
Great vid man. Did u have any issues with side wobble?

It looks extremely weak. Hopefully you don't have a cat jumping on it.
I’m so worried about the legs, how’s it so far? Is it durable?
Yeah I would reinforce it with triangle cutouts or metal L brackets.
why it is bend
Plywood for table legs?????

I would love friends at Ryobi to send me stuff 😁💕
Looks very good!!......................((((( ►) Have anyone here try the ❤DIY smartdesk kit frame to DIY a sit stand desk?
Người Việt Nam à
It looks cool but there’s a slight sag
Looks like the table sags in the middle
he looks like the guy from the epoch times Ads
Maybe cheaper to use hard wood.

probably make a killing just making a bunch of computer desks.
i want make gaming table, but i cant find a simple one.
so im here T_T
the problem is, i need the most efficient for simple cable management for the desk and place for pc tower and monitor
You would need a stronger table leg for that. Maybe metal square bars would work best as you can route the cables inside the legs
Check out bob at ILikeToMakeStuff

Music is way too loud, can't even hear his voice.
Lose the music or at least turn it down not needed
Looks awesome but it bows in the middle

Music is really loud, I am not here to hear music
The legs were wobbling putting the pad on for the floor..... that table is scary lol. Dont put Thanksgiving dinner on that thing.
I don't usually like "modern" stuff when it comes to furniture and art. Not much to it usually, and it tends to not last well.
Turn that annoying music off!
The music is quite nice
#IMO
Wont last for 1year
weak table stand ,no brace 👎👎👎
How to take more time to make something by being cheap.
Beautiful but not practical . Should be much smaller to be usable without consequences mate.
Yeah would make it differently now! But I have been using it for over a year now and its actually one of my garage workshop tables haha. Its held up surprisingly well (after I made some modifications in my update video).
awful music
