    This looks amazing! As a novice when you removed the tongue and groom did you just cut them down so they was all the same size ?

      Thanks! Yeah and it's important they are all the same size otherwise the herringbone pattern won't be seamless.

    Out of interest why did you remove the T & G from the long edges of the wood flooring? I'd have thought it would have been handy to lock them together?

      There is usually a tongue on the end of the board as well and if you've cut lengths down to the 30cm, after a few rows it'll butt up against a board without a groove and you'll be left with a gap in the pattern.

    What size were the oak slats

      We used 10cm x 30cm hardwood slats to make the herringbone design. You fancy making a table yourself?
