    Great admiration for Jackie the way she has handled her personal inner challenges and the sometimes appalling unacceptable public comments made to her in her teen years. She is a great fighter and a lovely singer. I'm sure we'll hear many more great songs composed by her. I love her Joni Mitchell album. Great choice..

    Jackie does any genre style so well the original artists might at first
    wonder if she could do it... and I'm sure each.. including Judy Collins.. Melanie etc. whomever you might do... after hearing their song covered by Jackie they say "That Evanko made it her own and WOW.. I love what she did!!!" 😊

She could blow us away without even trying, we don't need robotic perfection. I hope she finds peace with herself and keeps doing good work and is happy.

      Garden Party by the late Ricky Nelson. Sometimes you need to get away from family, now that she's an adult. I knew there would come a time when as a teenager she would want to venture into pop music. It's really hard to do, when everyone sees her as a little angel singing. She proved herself as Kitty, a talent show where she dressed up, as others did also. No one guessed who she was. There were hints, but the judges were totally surprised. It's still on RUclips, she was amazing. She could be a pop singer, but fate set the stage for her at a very young age. Maybe she should continue to embrace it, anyone can sing pop, not so with the great classicals.

    I liked everything Jackie had to say she’s turning into a lovely young woman and rooting for her to get past her eating disorder! I did have a problem at the end with the interviewer asking about having regrets singing at Trump’s inauguration implying that everyone feels this way well I sure didn’t I loved seeing her sing at his inauguration I thought she did awesome, it’s really sad that you can only sing for a Democratic president these days and be praised by the media and you’re looked at like you’re a racist if you sing for a Republican president such a sick media driven narrative.

      There can be a great difference between "a" Republican president and "that" Republican

      @@partyof43 At the 2017 Inauguration all the top Democrat leaders voluntarily showed up for "that" Republican president. Only Barack Obama was required to be there. Some even gave speeches, while all applauded Trump's speech. Yet a 16 year old with no political affiliations was supposed to turn down the opportunity of a lifetime to sing for her Country because some people didn't like the Country's choice for president?

      Jackie regrets it because neither she (nor her family) agree with him on pretty much anything. She says it was "her team" who decided she should do it and now she regrets it. Most people dislike him rather intensely because of his actions - it's normal for people to hold it against her, but I think, in time, people will forgive or forget.

      When she was younger Jackie was able to rely on pat answers as a way of dealing with the repetitive questions. She could always rely on Lady GaGa and Phantom of the Opera to satisfy an interviewer, and to some extent I think she fell back on some of those 'pre-recorded' responses to ease the pressure. She missed the opportunity to remind the interviewer that she had sung for Obama, and that she had at least taken a bite out of her bucket list when she was in a Robert Redford film.
      Tough interviews are good for her, especially in building confidence. I feel for anyone trying to find their inner "boss" - but even more so for someone who has to do it in the public eye. She is learning what it's like to be accountable for the things she says and promises, as we all have had to do, and I was impressed with her effort here.

    • @donkey3187
      @donkey3187 2 года назад +8

      @@RetNemmoc555 She stuck my her guns on the Trump question and reiterated that not only was her sister cool with it, but that she still feels there is nothing wrong singing for the president and for the country, no matter what president or which party is taking office. Whether she sang for Obama or Trump, it was all about patriotism, not politics.

      The problem with the entertainment business is that those like Jackie are forced to tread the waters carefully if they are to continue working and doing what they love and were born to do. The fact that she grew up in a "Catholic Conservative Family" and a belief in "GOD" was already a red flag to the WOKE freaks in Hollyweird and New York etc. Then when her brother decided that he was a female Jackie had to go along with it or be attacked. When the Evancho's had their reality TV show, Jackie and Jacob (Who was transitioning) was pushing Jackie to stand up 100% with him and Jackie was not able to say she would or wouldn't. That she had to be careful because of her singing career. This happens to all these kids who start out in this business at a very early age. We can all look at Miley Cyrus who used to be grounded and had her head on straight and now she's a lunatic who performs like a prostitute. The same thing has has happened to Grace Vanderwaal who used to be decent and now she curses, and dresses and acts like a freak. Jackie is not any of that and yet I feel she has to say she supports her brother because it's PC and if she doens't well we know what they would do and say to her. Jackie. As for President Trump? She knows and the country knows that he was the greatest POTUS ever elected by the people for the people but again she cannot say that because she'll be attacked just like she was when she sang at Trump's Inauguration. What a sad world we live in.
