I don't know about the UK youths'musical taste, but, I think Leo is bloody awesome! Loved his music since I was about 3 years old, now nearly 54 years old and I still love those tunes. Thanks Leo 🙂
I don't know why some of these videos always come with a negative perspective but when you watch them you realize the title is unfounded. Why say the man is struggling or broke or near death when he may just have chosen to quietly fade into the background?
Leo Sayer is a phenomonal artist who, although being celebrated all over the World, deserves more recognition for what he has achieved. And he is actually doing better financially than what you give him credit for. And good for Leo because he deserves it. BTW this video is twice as long as it should be - due to you repeating parts of the story multiple times.
Saw him in the 70s...he was brilliant, sung his songs pitch perfect and in tune.. unlike others I saw ( Fleetwood Mac , rod Stewart) who were RUBBISH!!!.❤️🇬🇧
He saw me with my leg cast and crutches and signed it while I was waiting for a friend in an a creatives office building where he had an office, London.
I remember seeing him on Big Brother when he said something like, I’ll be dead relaxed, nothing will get to me. Pretty soon he was screaming like a slightly oversized baby boo hoo.
There are a lot of older men who still have 1970's hairstyles. Although I suppose Leo's hair is part of his image? He just wouldn't look right (look like Leo) with a buzz-cut!☺
Sorry but this is like listening to something on rewind it just repeats the same statements over and over again it could have been 3 mins long!! Ps I was there in his heyday and love his songs
This poor man. He was the talent and it looks like he was used and got little from all his work. This happens a lot with many talented people. They are magnets to some greedy nasty people. Thank God he didn't get involved in drugs. I pray he's doing better today.
It’s a young man’s perspective do you think he cares about money at 76 he’s just glad to get through the worst years of drug and alcohol abuse the music industry ever had.
You found a way of making money by uploading garbage, not caring about the people you talk about or giving a damn if it is true, some people are pure evil.
British youth won't listen to Leo Sayer. They won't even know the name. They are just not into that. Some music from the past, like Queen, remains quite popular here, but mostly old artists are forgotten by youth in UK. There is the new stuff that is really good so why would a teen want to listen to old stuff? There is also a lot of image thing with teens. That influences what they listen to. A teen girl is not going to show adoration to an artist from the 70s. They will be embarrassed to show it and certainly won't have LS on their playlist. They want young really good looking guys hence the rise of the boy bands and ultra handsome singers who are successful more for their looks than musical talents. He was not one of the most popular entertainers or singer. That's streaching it quite a bit!
Kama coming back to haunt him. He stole Ray Parker Junior's song "You make me feel like dancing" and went on to win a Grammy award with it but never credited the then rookie singer/songwriter and gave him no remuneration either. Parker went on to greater stardom whilst Sayer evaporated to a "has been."
The commentator here just keeps going over the same facts ? repeatedly and the whole process of watching this becomes tedious..... theres nothing NEW here - goodnight zźźz
Just a boy is a brilliant album, it was played constantly in the 70’s, he’s written so much …magnificent musician

Clickbait nonsense I think , Leo certainly has an excellent legacy and was a massive star when I was a nipper.
Click bait BS, it's everywhere
He is 74,what do you expect! He certainly isnt broke ,he's still performing. I expect you will look older after 40 years .

I grew up in the 70s and had a few of his records but I doubt if the youth of today will have even heard of him
He had he lost it. It’s the story of many people’s life’s
Moonlighting was his best song by far in my opinion.
Yes he is always remembered orchard road classic 😊😢

I always loved Leo. Love his songs and energy. His style is unique.

Class act and some fantastic songs, One Man Band is a superb single.
Leo Sayer is a Brilliant Artist with an Exquisite voice . I Wish him the Very Best of Good Luck . God Bless him XXXXX
Today, he has a reported net worth of £4 million ... not exactly financial hardship!
long tall glasses you make me feel like dancing enormous world wide success
Thunder in my heart and Many Rivers To Cross and Love You more than I can say were extremely popular
I knew he had relocated to Australia. I particularly liked his recordings, ‘You make me feel like dancing’, ‘When I needed you’.
Most people just migrate to Australia…or did he dislocate then relocate….he moved maybe ?
I don't know, he just looks 40 years older. It happens.
It has been well over 40 years since he first came onto the scene.
@@Kragum24 That's probably true. I just never heard of him until the mid-70's.
@@donyoung7874About 1973 or so I remember seeing him dressed as a clown doing I Won't Let The Show Go On on Top Of The Pops.Great stuff.
So do I.
The NOW picture is not Leo Sayer.
Still going strong and total talent
I wonder what Ray Parker thinks about this. 🤔 He wrote You Make Me Feel Like Dancing but didn't get credit for it. 😮
yah,I said that above. I doubt Leo r the record company will ever fix this.
He saw me with my leg cast and crutches and signed it while I was waiting for a friend in an a creatives office building where he had an office, London.
He is a natural entertainer clever and intersting.
Why was it a difficult decision to move to Australia 🇦🇺? It’s a beautiful place ❤
@Solstice2023 Leo has family in the UK
An incredibly talented man.
Adam Faith turning up one day in his new Rolls Royce should have given Leo a clue...
Faith ended up bankrupt before he died.
I remember Faith having a newspaper column offering financial advice. He later lost his and other people's money on bad investments.
@@ivanconnolly7332Still he died happy. In bed with his 22 year old mistress.
@@paulkirton8945 Faith turned out to be as financially hapless (on a much larger scale ) as "Budgie" , the petty crim he played on TV.
I loved his voice on Unlucky in love on the album Another year.. I also liked Bedsitter land same album
Yes his music still as popular today as always
and a down to earth good bloke👍
I had no idea he was British! ❤
Still now Lively, lovely make much hearts dancing....❤
🤸♂️🤸🤸♀️🧘♂️🧘♀️🧘💕

I remember seeing him on Big Brother when he said something like, I’ll be dead relaxed, nothing will get to me. Pretty soon he was screaming like a slightly oversized baby boo hoo.

Leo Sayer Is 76, Look at Him Now After He Lost All His Money. 19.9.24. a Good MOR lad.....
I had dinner with Leo and he told me that the band that played on his recordings was toto
What a great guy.

Leo looks like Richard Simmons to me; has anyone ever seen them in the same room together 🙃
I saw him rehearsing about ten years ago in Adelaide
I love Leo Sayer 😊
I saw him on a reality show some years back. He was an old diva throwing fits. Gave me Baby Jane vibes.
Should never have done business with Budgie , HE WAS AND PROBABLY STILL IS A GOOD ENTERTAINER AND NEVER GIVE UP
"When the Money Runs Out". Leo Sayer single release 1979. Ironic, isn't it ?
I want the last 8 minutes of my life back
Imagine having the same hair style for 50 years 😮
It's nice to have the choice.
Style ? Imagine having Hair !
There are a lot of older men who still have 1970's hairstyles.
Although I suppose Leo's hair is part of his image? He just wouldn't look right (look like Leo) with a buzz-cut!☺
@@andrewmunn1724 He's lucky to have it !
What a voice this guy has got very talented watch him on you tube dressed up like a mimer
Moon lighting, Wont let the show go on!
Ask anyone below the age of say 45 and I doubt they have heard of him
I remember him well because………….Im old.
Little known fact. Leo Sayer was one of the last people to speak to Elvis hours before his death in 77
When he exited the Big Brother house,it was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen!!!!!!!
Sorry but this is like listening to something on rewind it just repeats the same statements over and over again it could have been 3 mins long!! Ps I was there in his heyday and love his songs
According to Ray Parker Jr,Leo got ahold of a song that Ray did for someone, that Ray swears he (Ray)wrote.
When I was a kid 🧒 I thought Leo was the guy that did the aerobics show 😂richard Simmons 😂
he's gone, Leo still with us....give me rocknroll over exercise any day
Leo sayers net worth in January 2023 was 4 million pounds .
Good hair still 👍
This poor man. He was the talent and it looks like he was used and got little from all his work.

He minds me a bit of Russ Mael
Never really got into him or his music, so why am I watching this?😊
Yeah go on bugger off lol😂😂😂 x
Because your stupid?
It’s a young man’s perspective do you think he cares about money at 76 he’s just glad to get through the worst years of drug and alcohol abuse the music industry ever had.
Brian Mays long lost brother
You left out his best song "more than I can say."
You found a way of making money by uploading garbage, not caring about the people you talk about or giving a damn if it is true, some people are pure evil.
Misleading thumbnail he looks nothing like that now, he actually looks great for his age
He looks like one of guys in the movie Step-Brothers lol
He looks like charlie chuck on the picture on the right.
He showed his true colours when he went on big brother uk,said it all, revealed his true self, not at all pleasant
no excuse for leaving key matters to others
Watching England v Croatia in Pub in Ealing years ago Leo rocks up joins in the chat Good Laugh decent Banter Nice Man We lost again 😂
Click Bait!! As of January 2023, Sayer's net worth was ~4 Million quid
He will be at the Mundi Bash 2025 in Aus

Say what you want but Leo was a big part of the seventees along with ABBA slade ,and all the rest
I heard, if it's true, He took credit from a song, Ray Parker Jr, wrote.
See how many times you can count that this video mentions "relocate to Australia" 🤣
Kama coming back to haunt him. Saw him on that awful UK programme '' Big Brother '..........he was not a very nice person
He was really fidgety on The Muppet Show. I wonder if it was bad nerves or was he on drugs?
