There was a great line in one comic (I think an issue of Daredevil) where the Avengers show up. Captain America is off panel while Thor makes a dramatic entrance. Then the Cap appears, directing Thor, and the caption reads: A voice that could command a god… and does! I always chuckle at that line.

We take comic book movies for granted. This film was so ahead of the curve that it set the tone for every shared universe that dared to follow in Marvel's footsteps.
This film was actually experimental and risky for Marvel as the shared universe by different franchises hasnt been attempted since the 1930s by universal that the sequels for phase 2 are put on stand by ready to be canned and determined by how this film would fare.
Folks blew the roof off the theatre when the Hero Shot happened after gasping out loud after the Hulk smashing the flying machine like 8 seconds previously. Damn... MCU used to be great.
When this first came out I still blank out Cap giving commands because it has Whedonisms in it. "You got the lightning. light the bastards up." But Cap's orders made sense. Thor was on vanguard duty. The highest energy output with control over the force of nature that generates it. Stark could chase and tag from the air possessing the most speed and range so permeter sweep. Nothing leave the circle. He could also provide back up at moments notice. Clint I guess taking advantage of his own prowess could snipe but mostly he's there relay positions, give active sitreps. Nat and Rogers are in the eye of the storm on the ground preventing the Chitari ground troops from entering building and harming civvies. And Hulk the chaotic element really just doing his thing but more so dealing with threats that Iron Man and Thor cannot
I can't remember this scene looked so awkward in the cinema back then. Has this been converted to Shit-Vision, the same technique they used in The Hobbit?
I miss this characters man, Hulk was actually dangerous and powerful, Thor had a brain and Clint was like fucking punisher with arrows, now we've got a strong man-child, a stupid clown and an old deaf man, Josh Whedon may be a horrible person, but he knew how to make characters three dimensional.
From(what) where(causal source) do the mutants' powers come from? From the X Factor that contributes to Gene X. "it looks like a soap opera" that's because you're watching it in 4K which somebody out there in the world thought was a good idea. Makes it seem like you're standing there with them which I personally think ruins it. I like to be submersed but not that much. I'll keep my 720p DVD quality version thanks.
Clint:Yeah? Well, get in the line. Your bro controlled my mind with some stick Thor:Yeah? Well,I can't count how many times he backstabbed me in past 1500 years and once he turned into snakes and he knows how much I love snakes 😭😭😭
You know Cap is one hell of a leader when even a Norse god and a giant rage monster take orders from him willingly.
That's why he is my fav
