- A Christmas Carol is the classic Christmas favorite about the stingy moneylender Ebenezer Scrooge. In the course of one night, Ebenezer is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, as well as the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. These ghostly encounters show him how to embrace the true Christmas spirit.

I laughed so hard when Scrooge sang joy to the world when Bob is late.
That was wonderful! The man playing Scrooge was brilliant. He reminds me a little of Crispin Glover. He just nailed the voice and those last scenes.
I also really loved Mrs. Cratchit. She had such sincerity.
I believe that this story gives people an important meaning that money cannot buy you freedom, friends or a family of your own but your own doom.
Bravo to all who did such a good job in this play.

Spirit of Christmas present looks like a pimp with that fur. I love the production. As a child I played young scrooge. Throughout my life I have seen every sort Christmas carol plays and movies out there and so far I love this one.
i laughed at 2:16 when the body made a thudding sound it kind of reminded me of a scene in the movie little shop of horrors

Animated versions or CGI, like Carrey's are never as good as live action. Disney should have done a live action one!

I found this to study roles and such for my school's adaptation of Christmas Carol and my role as Spirit of Christmas Past ( yay for being one of the shortest of the cast. I ended up watching the entire thing at least three times. Fun.

I come back and watch this on Boxing Day every year, it's a strange tradition I've started
So I came to study my part as Mrs. Peartree (one of the narrators) and watched the whole thing and got amazing ideas to tell my theater teacher to use AMAZING WORK! Best version of this play ive found!

Normally I try to make it to the Goodman Theater for this but couldn’t find the time. I must say this was a very pleasant surprise to come across. It made my evening that much better. Kudos to the whole crew even though it’s from yrs ago it was still a wonderful treat. For that I’m grateful.

I have probably seen about two dozen adaptations of A Christmas Carol...its one of my all time favourite books. This production is superb. The special effects are remarkable for a college theatre, the set design is clever and quite charming and the acting is excellent, especially the fellow portraying Scrooge. Well done everyone! You have created a Christmas classic!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this stage production of "A Christmas Carol". One of the better adaptations of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" I have seen, actually (and I've see a lot, since this is my favorite story). I particularly liked the performance by Scrooge and the humor infused into the dialog. Well done!

I’m playing Scrooge and this is really good for studying roles. His performance wasn’t perfect but really useful for helping me with characterisation particularly the voice and his transition throughout the play from ‘evil’ to ‘good’
Study the Albert Finney version. He is NOT evil at all, he is embittered with life...THAT IS A HUGE MISTAKE MOST MAKE. It makes the change in him more plausible and presents a more joyous change for he and the audience.
