@@JB-nl3xy Just from 100%ing A-side, I have 10k. Also, I got more deaths in chapter 3 (somewhere around 2k) than I did in chapter 7, just from trying to beat it without 100%ing it.

Actually the TAS should be proud. It died once in stage 4 while not touching any hazard and holding a key in order to save a few frames. Whenever I die, its because I'm stupid and blind and couldn't play a game if I had a robot moving my fingers for me.

fun(?) fact: this game used to have a speed limit of approximately 5000 speeds (there's no unit name so i just call it speeds). reaching this speed would crash the game
RichConnerGMN What we need is madeline’s canon height, then we can measure how fast she’s going in a usable unit like m/s
What we first need to know is how fast a speed is and have some comparisons so we can at least begin to estimate her movement speed. Her height is probably between 1 and 2 meters.

The problem with 114%, as far as I know, isn't a lack of ability or time, it's just that it'd be boring and repetitive because of having to go back for golden strawberries.

The only problem with going faster than light is that you can only live in darkness
its like every level has a new strat for me to learn.
In the beginning I felt like it wasn't that much more impressive than a regular run. Then I realized he can demo dash at will

When you use a command to give yourself speed 255 in minecraft.
Didn't even know you could move this fast in this game. I had to check if my video was playing at a faster speed
sequel of celeste but it’s theos POV and you see his journey through the mountain with Madeline. He’s ability is a momentum canceling bubble, similar to madelines dash into crystal pick up momentum thing.
This is why machines will take over.
There are so many mind-blowing things about this I have to make a list.
1) Dashing through deadifying things, probably pixel perfect.
2) 2 strawberries on the path of the fastest route through the game. Nice game design.
3) 2 levels where it is fastest to get a red heart. Very nice game design.
4) Wall jumping off ice spikes, probably frame perfect, then dying as soon as hitting the ground.
5) Being grounded just long enough to recharge a dash without getting rid of exhaustion or obtaining a strawberry, probably frame perfect, probably allows for slightly faster movement than grounded.
6) Some legitimate jumping off spikes, probably frame perfect.
7) Totally skipping the section gimmick with grounded dashes.
8) Miscellaneous dash tech.
9) All of these crazy optimizations combined saved less than 4 minutes over RTA.
Now to be clear, when I say nice game design, I mean it. It's cool that the more challenging stuff is actually faster. Of course, at some point somebody is going to find out that by hammering grab every frame while in a loading screen or some other trick, you can get warped to the credits, and this amazing TAS will be kinda obsolete. Also, what kind of jerk ignores Theo the whole run when all he does is help and save your sorry *** time and time again?!
If a credits warp is discovered, the main category will still be any%
