I remember one match where my board was mostly empty, and I (somewhat carelessly) dropped a Z-piece on the bottom. I get sent 2 lines of garbage, and the gap is placed JUST in the right spot to turn that Z-piece into a setup for a T-spin triple. Thanks, person!
This video contributed to my win!! That defense strategy made the total difference. Won my first Tetris Maximus an hour ago after starting T99 a month ago. It was so exhilarating, thank you Tafo!! Really helpful. I thanked NL now I gotta go thank Doremy and I will have thanked everyone. 🙅🏻♀️🦋🏆
I think this style of tutorial is helpful, but the PowerPoint layout was smart. A middle ground between the janky PowerPoints and just talking would be the best imo!
Tafo, thank you!! I am trying to catch up to these ppl and you're the only one to explain this!! I found you thru the old school tetris video! (❤️game boy) I have to catch up to 2 years of ppl playing this bc I used to have a life
Is it just me or did the people winning this game in February stop posting advice? I think the skill ceiling got a bit higher lmao. You’re awesome man, I just got my first win thanks to this video (520th attempt). Subscribed!
Finally! The garbage video I've been looking for! I've been trying to understand the garbage concept as I'm sti relatively a new player and this was very informative
Really like the video. I would love to see a more technical breakdown of your piece distribution. It seems that building and clearing are second nature to you. Did you ever sit down and analyze the most efficient ways to build?
Interesting to note that sending garbage line becomes negating garbage lines on the queue. This makes tetrises really good on defense, because you are removing single wide rows AND preventing garbage from killing you. I think attackers basically multiplies sent garbage after subtracting defensive lines, otherwise it would be crazy good, but I don't know how to measure that.
Maybe you could do a video on "finesse"? I've seen a few things on it but still have trouble remember how to use it while playing. So a video on any ways you think about finesse would be helpful. Might also be a good extension on helping people build quickly.
I finally won my first game about a week ago. It was so stressful but for once the last person didn’t hit me with like 10 lines at a time back to back.
I'd like to know how you move your pieces left and right. Is it more DAS? Quick-tapping? General movement would help a lot. Also learning about rotation systems. I know the loading icon shows how the pieces rotate, but I'd love to know more about it in context. Thanks so much.
All well and good but a lot of it is instinctual anyway, I've been playing for years on and off, and while I'm not quite as good as you, it always seems to just fall in place with out thinking.

There is no feeling that is equal to having an uneven board, and switching an o block for your hold, then realizing it is also an o block
accurate
100%
relatable
Worst : having an uneven board, realizing you can't place your piece, holding and seeing a O block falling
@@shazers7313 then realized the next rng pieces is also O block
I've become an expert at t-spins, and when I say expert I mean I destroy my entire stack trying to make one work...

Do a video about spinning all the pieces. Like s and z too.
I second this just only adding the word please
The thought of being like "I'm about to be sent. A T piece? Alright seems it's the time for a T-spin triple." Makes me giggle.
Pretty new to the channel been watching for a month or so now but can tell editing is getting better on these types of videos! Keep up the good work!

Going for KOs has become a nightmare since the ultra-tall tower bait meta started.
I love your videos! It blows my mind that you can talk while slaying this game.

When/why do the holes of garbage lines build up a straight line and when do they spread?
SplatWorld it’s random

You should stream thursday after midnight! All of the minimum wage gamers that finally got paid direct deposit want to sub to you!
I’m trying to accomplish the “top ten with no holds and no tetrises and no tspins, I’d love your recommendations
Awesome tips 👍🏽👍🏽
Can I get one for shine OOS. /s
Good video!
I need to know what is happening with the targeting EXACTLY.
Next tip I'd like to see: How to play tetris 99 on pc (but without getting a ton of viruses)
Tetris 99 is only available on the Switch. However, tetrisfriends.com also has an arena (with chat too) and is also free
@@kevinstrand4596 There's also Jstris, which I think a lot of people prefer because it's faster
6:23 is this actually g2 thijs from hearthstone?
The thumbnail is funny
Thanks bro
