@@TheStrongestBaka all modern versions of Tetris have this t spin mechanic since the OG Nintendo DS. Tetris Effect on PS4 is pretty satisfying.

Winston Wu one time I did q t spin mini, t spin double, and a t spin triple and he saw the triple and was like “you can’t do that, that’s cheating.” And I did a j spin and he was like “ok that’s slightly less cheating because it fits but you still can’t do that.

O spins are extremely hard. You have to navigate through tight spaces if you're gonna be able to do it and you only have *ONE* frame to execute it. I don't know how he is going to elaborate on this but I bet you if he does, he will say it is humanly impossble.

Thank you so much for this video! I've been watching simpleflips play PuyoPuyo 2 and 99 and tried to do DT cannon but just didn't understand how to spin the piece into place and the visuals at 6:00 really made it click for me!

T-Spin Triple Pros & Cons:
Pros:
Sends 6 Lines of Damage
One of the keys to become a good player
Cons:
Messy board (sometimes)
Have to wait until you have the right pieces to do one
you forgot a pro, it's the harem of girls who will flock to you because of the infinite swag value of the t-spin triple.
You also forgot a con: the angry former boyfriends of said girls.

Just keep playing until you get an s or z setup by misdropping
If you do a 4-wide strat, its much more common to find those setups

Dude's playing a match and teaching ppl how to TST.
It's like teaching somehow how to fix a jammed rifle in an active combat zone.
I've mastered the 2 column t spin back to back setup, I never knew about the 3 column, thanks! For those reading, on the left stack up orange, green, yellow, red, and blue upside down into the red. Fill up the right side and overhang then that's 4 t spin triples back to back. It also works on the right side with reversed colors.
I'll do the abbreviated version in Tetris 99 with just yellow, red, and blue for two back to backs. But like tako said, it's very demanding and the rng can be unforgiving.

You can build a double-TST setup by using an O, (rotated) S, and (upside down) L piece on the far right, then on the left of that, leave an empty column, and then build up and make the overhang.
You get 2 TSTs and an L-spin.

That just shows that the game does a really bad job in explaining the game mechanics - not everyone has played (and understood) Tetris before.
Btw, in Tetris DS there were some modes (Mission and Touch) where you sometimes actually couldn't turn pieces. :D

I got a general request for damage and the mechanics. Namely I’d like to know the difference in the cause of red and grey damage. Also how exactly is the gap in the grey damage rows decided? Is it truly random?
grey damage doesn't go through until the damage below it occurs i believe. this means if you're being targeted by many people you still have a chance. idk how the gaps work
also idk what causes damage to be grey instead of colored, i assume if you're getting a lot of lines but they're not comboed
the layout is hard but the execution is easier, u know how to kick it because of the layout, (tried it in tetra league and it worked lol)
