Gosh. My girlfriend and I talked about making Muppets of ourselves for Halloween this year, so I did a bit of searching and found your how-to series. Watched the whole thing, deeply invested, then saw your art class video with your elementary schoolers from way back, and THEN found out about your cancer. I'm happy to see this update and to know that things went okay with your surgery. I can see you are a committed and generous and deeply creative teacher. Really praying for you! As a so far survivor of stage 4 lung cancer that went to my brain I can somewhat relate to your situation. No one thought I would survive. My own daughter telling people, in front of me, I’m here helping my mother, she’s dying from cancer. I seemed to be the only one who BELIEVED! Why can’t I be one of the 5 percent who makes it 5 years! I worked for it and lots of people prayed for me…..well, it’s been since 2017 since the diagnosis and I’m still here! So! I’m a BELIEVER! One day at a time!!

When you are healed up, I bet you can find a way to use that mechanism in the hand strength device into a simple puppet for kids (and even adults) that find hospitals scary/boring. I've never been a huge fan, so I say this without bias, you got that dog in ya. Keep creating, brother.
My girlfriend recently died of something similar and I was too much of a coward to be there for her. Seeing you, someone I also look up to, in a situation like this is absolutely harrowing. You'd better recover as much as physically possible or my psyche might not ever 💔💔

Dude, for JUST having gotten out of brain surgery, you look phenomenal!!! And I am so happy to see that movement in your fingers. It's very important to re-establish those nerve connections and I know you're gonna work hard at it and do great. I remember getting surgery on my stomach a few years ago and being told that I had to get up and move and work those muscles even when I didn't want to, haha. It was irritating but I am glad that my doctors pushed me. You're in great hands and I know that God's got you!!! Praying for you, friend.
