If he keeps at it and starts refining his technique and learning songs as they actually are, he clearly has the potential to become a great guitar player in the future (at least technique-wise). It does not mean people cannot give kudos to a young guy who is trying hard at something without lying. We don't need to lie and say he is playing amazing. He is playing an extremely rough version that resembles master of puppets, but it is far from being master of puppets and far from great playing. It's full of mistakes everywhere, changed riffs to make them way simpler and easier, almost constantly out of time. For now he is just a kid that has learned enough to impress his friends and older people who don't really know how many orders of magnitude harder it is to get to the level of playing a song like this actually correctly.

Amazing skills...just imagine the skill level this kid will be at when is 20 or 21 year old....this kid will have an incredible future indeed !! I have heard this song thousands of times since I got the "cassette" when it first came out in 1984 and this kid sound quite similar...yeah..there some mistakes, but keep in mind, he is only 11 year old and he plays the guitar in ways we can only dream of...kudos to you kid !!
All these kids with an ibanez, I didn't get an electric til I was 16 as a throw away my friend had. I had to play a soft string the school loned us. I'm happy younger people get all this good gear, it's great for development. But I won't say I'm not jealous.
