Thank you for this video, this worked on the Chromebook I have (Samsung), even though this was shown on an HP. I watched a video prior to seeing yours that used a different method. That video showed from a powered off Chromebook, power the computer on, then select Ctrl+Alt+Shift at the same time, and start tapping on the "R" key as it powers up. This was supposed to bring you to a screen with the choice to Power Wash the Chromebook, however, it did not work. After several attempts, it just kept going to the sign in screen for the user account. This method you have in your video worked the first time, and it was very quick. Thank you again, Marc

Hi Uchenna, did you resolve your problem? If you didn't, or didn't get a reply, I wanted to answer your question. You should get the screen that you describe after holding the buttons for approximately 15 seconds. That is when you select Control - D, and the Chromebook will start it's reboot process on it's own. If you see the next screen asking to turn the OS back on (mine was "press the spacebar"), follow the screen instructions. After the spacebar, I selected "Enter", and the Chromebook finished resetting. I hope that helps, stay safe, Marc
My chromebook is still in Enterprise mode from middle school last year, they let students who took care of their devices keep them so I own it legally. I'm in high school now and developer mode is disabled, how do I reset it and get it out of enterprise mode???
Hi.i just purchase a Samsung chromebook.didnt know that its lock by administrator(report lost or stolen).I tried some procedures like this one and the esc.refresh power button.it still brings me to the same prompt whenever I connect it to the internet.is there any way that I can fix this?

I also have a school issued Chromebook, and wanted to reset it now that my stepson has graduated from high school and does not need it. I followed the exact steps outlined in this video (Escape, Refresh and Power for 15 sec), and the next screen that came up was asking to insert a start-up disk. I then selected Control - D as the video says, and the Chromebook went through the next step automatically. The next screen said to press the Space Bar to turn the OS back on, and after pressing the Space Bar, I selected Enter and the Chromebook finished resetting on its own. I hope that helped, Marc
