  • This 30-hour sculpting project by our Co-founder Morten Jaeger has been edited down to just 10 minutes to give you a look into what it takes to create Majora and Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask.
    We wanted to take this iconic character from and re-create him in 3D based on the original drawings from the N64 game. Everything is sculpted in ZBrush and rendered using Blender. This could also be sculpted in Blender or any other sculpting software, but we chose ZBrush for this.

    Edit: Just realized this is based on a 10 hr course hahahaha You guys rock lol
    You guys should really put how long it took to make this from start to finish - full accumulated hours.
    The whole "10 minutes" thing really stresses out younger artists who think they need to be able to knock this out as quickly as possible.
    Obviously it's not all done in 10 minutes but someone who doesn't know what it SHOULD take a professional has NO IDEA what time should be budgeted and what they should aim for, themselves.
    8 hours total broken up between 2 days?
    20 hours broken up in 3 days?
    2 hrs blocking out, 3 hrs medium details, 2 hrs high frequency details, 2 hrs texturing? 1 hr posing? Who knows?
    I'm just saying this because when I was starting out I couldn't EVER find how long it actually took an artist to make something. Whether they were professional or just a Jr Artist with a decent grasp on the software.
    "X Made In 10 Minutes!" video's scared the shit out of me and made me

      @hjf4a2 that’s a bit rude. I don’t use Tik Tok. Im pretty sure I have good analytical skills considering I am a studying in college as a computer programmer... It’s not that I’m not able to use deductive reasoning, it’s that the title is extremely misleading. Obviously the creator is talented but it is kind of annoying that their title is so misleading. The description still contradicts the title.

    Hi, I was wondering what the difference between a personal and commercial license is for a course instead of the usual asset? Is it the difference between viewing it alone vs showing it to say a class of students, or does it have something to do with the use of the files that comes with it? Really curious about this and I cant see any information on your site, thanks!
    I understand how it works for assets, but how can I use a course commercially?

    • @FlippedNormals
      @FlippedNormals  3 года назад +1

      It's if you need to share it with your team or a school wants to buy a course for an entire class. Then when you buy a commercial license you technically buy multiple seats. I hope that makes sense :)
