    I’m coming out of a witchcraft practice now (not a Christian and not biased in that way either) but I have to say there are a LOT of mental health consequences of believing in and practicing literal magic, many of them EXTREMELY bad, socially toxic, maddening. So excited for your discussion.

    I always thought that witchcraft had to do with control issues. You explain that very clearly, thanks.

    There’s a lot of traumatised people out there, but we know that Jesus heals 🕊️

    Who is the deity that scared you back to Christianity?

    • @LouisaWatt
      @LouisaWatt  7 месяцев назад +6

      I wasn’t scared back to Christianity. I had no intention of being Christian, but God had mercy on me and rescued me from harassment and intimidation from unknown sources. The Holy Spirit made himself known through communicating with the scriptures for a month before I met Him, so I was under no illusions as to who I was dealing with.
      If I was to be afraid of anyone, it would be God alone. The way he instantly shut down a bunch of demons was truly awe inspiring and a bit terrifying. There’s no way I would mess with God.

    Oh my God, I hope this lady here is not a working health practitioner! Mostly because of health care professionals cant have biases and assumptions like this! This is terrible!

    • @LouisaWatt
      @LouisaWatt  8 месяцев назад +3

      Lived experience and qualifications are, by definition, not an assumption.

    • @cara1111
      @cara1111 8 месяцев назад +2

      Your lived experiences and qualifications are not tools to make assessments or diagnosis upon other people, this is ethics on health care provision 101, haven't you heard of client focused practice? Whereas your experiences and qualifications are to be validated in the context of your own story you can't force or generalize your background onto other individuals. Ufff... running into these types of youtube videos, like yours, makes me cringe and have horrible chills! Dangerous!

      @@cara1111 But there are actual risks to any type of practice that alters your psychology. There are risks to various therapeutic interventions as well and it is better to discuss risks plainly. I think it is dangerous that magick is viewed popularly as totally neutral and harmless but the droves of people fleeing abusive churches looking for meaning and empowerment… I say this as a practitioner myself. To ignore the psychological risks is to do harm, and to disrespect the practice itself.

    I will say this. Ireland had a very complex religious tradition that was wiped out quite violently. Just as the Irish language was nearly extinguished, Celtic paganism that was passed down by oral traditions was mercilessly persecuted by people calling themselves Christians, whose actions were very much contrary to the actions of Christ.

      Political injustice in the name of beliefs is a cross-cultural trait of human beings, something we all stand condemned by before God. Each will answer for their own actions. Jesus has already promised condemnation for those who drag His name through the dirt in Matthew 7, but likewise the pagans who refuse to acknowledge His Lordship will have no part in His kingdom.
      The real question is; have you tried to make it right with your creator yet or not? Time is short for everyone.

      Hi@@LouisaWatt! Great Channel!!! 🙂 I agree with a lot of your videos using psychology, but I know for a fact some greedy people use witchcraft to make money and promote themselves (Bible gives several examples). Please, can you make a video about these people? Christians can still overcome evil in any form by praying in Jesus Christ's name!!! :)
