You really need to do more background on Tomar and the Knights Templar
At the time of the Convent, Portugal was a country, one of the oldest in Europe

Thanks Robert , we will . This can happen at times we stumble across these great places on our travels unaware of what we'll find until we get there , only to be amazed. We do the local research as much as we can in terms of time and availability of such, to find we are only scratching the surface. We are heading back to Portugal in the Spring and expecting this wonderful country to wow some more. Thanks for taking time to write to us. Festive greetings to you and yours , best wishes Helen and Martin.

At last I can catch up on my RUclips viewing. We’ve been to Lincolnshire in our van but had to come home because we had three cockapoos with kennel cough! They’re fine now but two have been very poorly and I’ve had to keep all dogs off TV because Jasper always barks at them and all he could muster was a distressing wheeze! Thankfully he’s had a good old bark at Poppy tonight 😂. This was a really interesting video and I enjoyed it. Lovely photography at the end but nothing less than I have come to expect on your channel. Thanks for sharing.

Oh no so glad they are on the mend. Poppy had her kennel cough treatment this week as there seems a lot of it about at the moment and she is going to doggie day care. Thanks for watching our videos this evening and thanks for watching until the end and viewing the photographs, they are not always popular with viewers who prefer the video but Martin puts a lot of effort in so it makes him really happy when someone comments on them. Best wishes Helen and Martin.

Portugal is a very cool place we loved it , the aire was a little tired but ok for a free stop , the second stop was amazing though, bread delivered everyday to your van in a morning to. We were worried that Poppy might help herself to a chicken 🐔 but we got away with that one to. Thanks for watching H and M

So envious guys - it’s on my hit list to visit as I errrrr like the Templar pilgrimage and history as it’s very dear to my heart, and if you would like to know more on the KT , I will be more than happy to pass on what I know 😜
As you know In Yorkshire the knights T had strong holds all over and york near me was a big perceptary or commandery at copmanthorpe 😜👌

Given what you have disclosed I would think that Tomar is a place you would really enjoy. I loved it , there is also Templar Castle which we visited at Ponferrada in Spain , VLOG to come. The Spanish Crusade is an interesting one and there are lots of historical sites for you to get your teeth into. I have just finished listening to an Audio book "The Templars' by Dan Jones, which I enjoyed , unless you have read it I would recommend it. Thanks very much for watching and engaging and we hope you get to Tomar, it's a wonderful place. H and M

Another great video. The editing is so amazing, Clare loves your little circles she thinks they’re very cool. I thought the spiral staircase went down to a wine cellar if I’m honest. Also loved how you managed to superimpose your face onto the front of that book Martin very clever. 😂

I have always fancied myself as a Knight in shining armour. I am just taking the masking options in Premier Pro out for a ride at the moment and seeing what I can do with them. Probably would be a cellar , but there's always room for imagination among us creative types. Thanks for watching guys.

Enjoying your trip and videos greatly. You have been away a long while how do you keep an eye on your home and even though you have a big van is it difficult to live in it for such a long time. Ours is quite small by comparison but still comfortable but suspect a week would be quite a lot for us

Best ever vaca video! Let me add a bit of truth to this! Portugal means--Port of the Grail! Burgundy knights started this place (thanks to St,. Bernard of Clairvaux--the Templar Saint--read his 82 sermons from the Song of Songs)) to get away from the Church!--how ironic! And really Tomar is Tamar--offspring of the Black Virgin--the Widow's daughter--Jesus and Magdelene is Notre Dame--and the Mona Lisa--notice the streams behind her shoulders and the way the wound scarf across her heart is a continuation of stream and her look is one of Rosicrucian-Regenerated-Philosopher always of god's divine center! Da Vinci Code got it wrong--the offspring must also be regenerated within one's midst or depth's in God's Image (the Grail within), His Word. (Only that which comes down goes back up . . . ) And so, those 2 circular wells you shot--one with stairs going down--is symbolic of going within your depths at X marks the spot (heart center) and there one gives his will to the Spirit (the crooked serpent that wraps around you when you become one with your other self(Know thyself) to regenerate one by balancing the wet and the dry.
Well that's enough for now! Hey, want to know the truth about the American Revolutionary War? How did my country America beat the SUPER POWER England. I almost have Russell Crowe interested in playing your General Howe. Taking Command is the story of how a few questing and engrailed Master Masons RC operating in America gave the world the gift of Spiritual freedom! To find use the title above - all one word , no spaces or caps then dot us. You're a smart cookie hope you take a look and the preview is there--all of this is on the level and spread the story--as you said history should not be canceled or altered.

@@helenandmartinsTreks If you enjoyed that you must take-in the preview to the screenplay. You are a History/sleuth dude and this solves that 250 year enigma! Do you know how Maj. General James Wolfe did what he dd at the Heights of Abrahams? That hero was an attained and initiated Templar Mason; that is what enables field commonsense--the Lucky Moment seized is a rarity in these times -- when upward mobility is not based on merit but equity. Luckily your Sec. Pitt could feel into Wolfe. Well, Wolfe cleared the way (by taking out the French) for his Captain Howe --at the time--to later have a moment of beatific vision on Bunker Hill and realize the Sacred Cause was not England's but America--joining forces with his brother Adm. Howe and Franklin.
Who knows it could inspire you to cross the pond and do some of your immense wizardry on my soil about this. (Everything was superlative in your video!) Your General William Howe was another Templar Superstar--equal to our General Patton (one who knew he had been a General for Rome) and you Englishmen think he failed. That guy held off the Ministry, his Brigadiers, who wondered why howe who always finishes let Washington off 5 times.
I wrote it because I read one line that General Howe wrote to his Admiral brother after Bunker Hill. He said, " I had a moment in battle that I had never had before. Instantly I knew he had gotten into the Zone, the X Factor, a long Messi moment. Then I went to the University library--got 30 books and found out that moment lasted a minute and a half and America's rail fence line did not shoot at him--even though he was the last man standing! Well. and then I was God's vessel for this project and took dictation.
