    What if Jon snow accepted Stannis's offer and became Jon Stark

      Winter Is coming He would have been Burned Alive instead of Stannis's Daughter, and Jon Snow would be Dead permanently, No peace with the Wildlings, No Battle Of The Bastards, Boltons would keep Winterfell, Etc.

      +Bengie Macfarlane Would've he been burned, though? It only works with 'Kings Blood' and just because he's a Stark doesn't automatically make him a king. Robb wasn't King of the North until everyone decided he was, just like Jon wasn't King of the North until everyone declared him to be at the end of Season 6. Jon's only in trouble if people start calling him the King and he wouldn't let them if he was on Stannis' side.

      Bex Tex I haven't watched it in a while, but there's a Scene in Season 5 where Stannis Pretty much says that he was going to Burn Jon because he Had "King's Blood" way after He asks Jon to join him. Or atleast that's how I viewed the scene and like i said it's been awhile Since season 5 is my least favorite season haha.
      Also The Whole "King's blood" thing really does make no sense, I don't get Melisandre's logic on that one.

    If Stannis became king in the show, Westeros would have become scoured with justice from the highest lord to the lowest gutter rat. At least we still have the books where Stannis is ready hand the Boltons their arses to them.

      God-Emperor of Mankind Stannis became LORD OF DRAGONSTONE. Let me remind you that the houses of Dragonstone has been loyal to the Targaryens for centuries, and when he became their lord, not even a single rebellion came from them.
      Stannis is not stupid. He will kill Joffrey, but not Sansa and Cersei (not immediately for Cersei) The Hostages he has is Joffrey (he will execute), Tommen, Cersei, Tyrion, and Sansa.
      He can execute Cersei and Joffrey, but Tywin Lannister still cannot make a move because Stannis has Tommen. Dorne has Myrcella, and they hate what the Lannisters did. A Baratheon and Martell alliance would have happened.
      He would have made Robb Stark bend the knee. Heck, Ned Stark recognizes Stannis as the One True King. He is also the greatest battle commander and strategist. He knows the advantages of Moat Cailin, so he most probably would have sailed. The Manderlys? Stannis is also a great naval commader, once he gets past The Neck, Robb will crumble.

    • @YourWhysun
      @YourWhysun 7 лет назад +19

      God-Emperor of Mankind Every powerful House against him?
      Lannister - Can't do anything. Cersei, Joffrey, and Tommen are hostages.
      Martell - Neutral
      Arryn - Neutral
      Stark & Tully - Sansa is a hostage
      Tyrell - Most of their bannermen would have flocked to Stannis.
      Baratheon - Obviously he has the entire Crownlands and Stormlands +Dragonstone which is his main power.
      He would either sail to the North or let Robb come south where Stannis can destroy him. He inspires loyalty. Look at the example of Davos, or the houses he ruled when he was lord. Robb would lay down his title and crown, and the Tully's would bend too.

    • @YourWhysun
      @YourWhysun 7 лет назад +8

      God-Emperor of Mankind Stannis castrates men who rape in his army. You still forget that Joffrey was somewhere else, and so was Sansa. And Cersei was still alive. Instead of Tywin entering the Throne room, it would have been Stannis. Even if Tywin was behind him, Stannis already has Cersei. He is Westeros' greatest battle comamander and strategist. He is literally the most experienced one. Did you think Robb made all those battle plans? It was mostly the Blackfish's brilliance.
      Stannis is a hard man. "Human nature" Those Baratheon men would think twice. "Rapey Baratheon soldiers" Robb's own men did atrocities during the war. And you think the deaths of the Martell princess and babies were out of control? Tywin ordered it. If the Mountain found them and had orders not to kill them, he would have obeyed. Robb is nothing compared to Stannis. Robb's tactics were guerilla warfare. Robb won three battles. Stannis Destroyed the Greyjoy Fleet, Held Storm's End for a year against Tyrell and Redwyne. He subdued the largest of the Iron Islands and crushed Mance Rayder though Mance had 20 TIMES HIS NUMBERS.
      Not all the Vale Lords wanted to side with Robb. And yes Robb will INDEED bend. You literally ignored my point that Ned wanted to make Stannis King. And the point of Dragonstone was to show that he could inspire loyalty. He ruled houses that were loyal to the Targaryens and they did not even rebel against him.
      And do you literally think Stannis would bring HIS ENTIRE army to the North? He's not stupid to leave his lands alone. I don't even think he will march North. Once Robb marches south, he is done.
      And if we are going book wise, Stannis has the support of the Glovers and Mormonts. Manderly support is coming once Rickon is back. He has his Southron Knights, Iron Born, and Wildlings with 20k sellswords on the way. The other Northern houses who sided with Bolton have unwavering loyalty to them. All those enemies have other enemies trying to kill them too. Euron wants Dany for her power, Varys and Baelish hate each other and he would have Baelish executed too. Robert doesn't know the first thing about justice.

    • @YourWhysun
      @YourWhysun 7 лет назад +7

      God-Emperor of Mankind Robb only fought a war to avenge his father and rescue his sisters, not because he wanted an indeoendent North. If he sees to it that Stannis has Joffrey, Cersei, and Tywin executed, he would have peacefully lay down his crown. Stannis will also inform Robb that his own father supported him.
      Tyrells have a 100,000 men? It's 80k. "Tyrells won't flock to Stannis, not ever" When Renly died half his banner men flocked to Stannis and the other half went with Loras. They only made an alliance with Tywin because Baelish brokered it. Do you really think the Tyrells were loyal to Renly? Renly was a Tyrell puppet. Tywin cannot do anything. We know that Tommen would be dead, but not Cersei. How would Tywin know. There is King's Landing then there's the Red Keep. Stannis would displaye her causing Tywin and the damn Tyrells to lay down their arms.
      Robb fought TO FREE HIS FATHER not for an INDEPENDENT NORTH that was the ORIGINAL PLAN. Sansa was bethrothed to Joffrey so he couldn't kill her.
      Did you not watch the show? She let Tommen drink poison but she was still alive. She would have been taken by Stannis and Tywin is not stupid. He would not assume quickly that his own daughter is already dead. "He is a greater threat than the rest combined" Those were the words of Tywin about Stannis. He did not fear Renly, Robb, or Balon, who had much larger armies, he feared Stannis. He would know that Stannis would take Cersei, and not kill her. By this time Joffrey is eithet captured or killed. "But this is Stannis Baratheon. I would have the better chance at seducing him" Cersei planned to seduce Stannis, which would horribly fail.
      The Storm Lords were greedy. They followed Renly because he had power and wanted something in return, and Renly knew that. Did Renly inspire loyalty? When he died, HALF OF HIS BANNERMEN, flocked to Stannis."The northerners would betray him since they hate wildling more than the Boltons"
      Are you stupid? The Boltons killed their king in a wedding and the Boltons killed their kin and blood under guest right. The Northerners don't care. Stannis recruited the Mountain Clans because they wanted to avenge Ned and free his daughter, in return they followed Stannis. The Glovers followed Stannis because he FREED DEEPWOOD MOTTE, their ancestral castle and that caused the Mormonts follow him too. Now Lord Manderly will follow Stannis once Rickon is brought back. Mors Umber even follows Stannis. They don't care anymore. They just want their dead avenged and that is what Stannis is doing.

    Daenerys might have been killed by one of the Sons of the Harpy in the stadium if Tyrion died in Blackwater. Jorah saved Daenerys from the initial assassination attempt. Capturing Tyrion was Jorah's excuse to return to Mereen. Without him, he would likely just remain a broken man in a Volantis brothel.

      I don't think it leads to much. Like Mance said, the wildlings only respect him because he is a free man... he stops being a free man they won't respect him anymore so maybe a few wildlings come over with him but not enough to make a difference.

      Maybe Mance accepts the terms but without "Bending the knee" which was something really important for them. If we go by show, that would mean a bigger army for Stannis against the Boltons...maybe the wildings knows more about fighthing in snow and helps the rest of the army to be better supplied...and they don't get their tents burned by some Ramsay's 20 good boys because Wildings are better watchers...

      It becomes a siege between Stannis, the Wildlings and the Boltons.
      Sansa probably is able to escape anyway in the mess of it helped by Brianne (the tunnels under Winterfell to get out).
      Maybe Stannis win and conquer Winterfell but Brianne kill him anyway.

    • @RichardHorpe
      @RichardHorpe 7 лет назад +37

      In the books he's Stannis's bitch and goes into Winterfell to murder random Bolton men. In the books Stannis made almost all the wildlings bend the knee because he said, "bend the knee or you faggots go north of the wall." He didn't march with them because Jon told him the northmen will be offended by the wildlings. he told Stannis to get 3000 mountain clansmen instead because unlike wildlings, the clansmen are considered petty lords.

    My thoughts on what would happen if Stannis won:
    - Tyrion, Bronn, Cersei, Varys and Ilyn Payne are all dead
    - Joffrey is burned - he was a king and Melisandre believes in the usefulness of king's blood
    - Sandor Clegane still escapes King's Landing
    - Sansa survives and is treated well by Stannis
    - Robb eventually bends the knee to Stannis, along with Edmure and the rest of the North+Riverlands
    - Stannis re-enacts the end to the Greyjoy Rebellion, and kills Euron and Victarion (Balon is already dead by the time Stannis arrives)
    - North are angry with Robb for bending the knee again, until Stannis heads to the Wall and stops the wildling invasion
    - Tyrells give up on the Lannisters and secretly declare for fAegon
    - In the Riverlands, Jaime loses his mind when he realises Cersei is dead. He either betrays his word to the Starks or heads west for Casterly Rock instead to reconvene with Tywin. If he's captured by the Boltons, Roose may just return him to Robb, now seeing the Lannisters are on the losing side of the war.
    - With Lannisters losing and the Starks still surviving, Red Wedding does not happen.
    - Tywin leads the Lannister forces to Dorne to try to declare Mrycella Queen, with Joffrey dead and Tommen presumed dead (He's still in the Rosby roads). He may or may not succeed in rescuing her. If he does, he takes her to Casterly Rock and replenishes his forces whilst Stannis settles in King's Landing.
    - Whilst the Lannisters recover, Stannis leads North+Riverlands+Kings Landing+Stormlands forces east to Meereen and kills Daenerys and her dragons
    - Faith Militant still try to usurp power because Stannis allows R'hllor to be practised openly in Westeros. But Stannis isn't as reckless as Cersei or as naive as Tommen - he takes care of the Faith Militant without having to make compromises.
    - Relative peace until the White Walkers come, and Westeros defeat them under a united Stannis Baratheon. Long live the King.
    Oh and fAegon tries to conquer Westeros with the Tyrells and Martells, but Stannis defeats him cause he's Mannis and fAegon is just a boy pretender.

    • @stannisthemannis7370
      @stannisthemannis7370 7 лет назад +68

      First this is taking into consideration the political situation of Westeros BEFORE the Battle of the Blackwater.
      The Tyrells want Margaery to be Queen, and if they believe that Joffrey and Tommen are dead, and that the Lannisters are being defeated by both the Starks and the Baratheons, the Tyrells will see that they have nothing to gain politically from supporting the Lannisters. Once they hear of fAegon, the Tyrells would likely consider marrying Margaery to fAegon. Hell, if they don't hear about him in time, I could see Olenna encouraging Mace to send Willas to Essos to offer his hand in marriage to Daenerys, like Quentyn Martell did. All in all, if Stannis managed to take the city and killed Joffrey (And Tommen was presumed to be in the city too by everyone who wasn't there), the Tyrells would see no point waging a war against Stannis if they were to gain nothing politically.
      Robb doesn't care about northern independence, he was declared king by his bannermen and only rebelled against the Iron Throne at the time because he thought Joffrey was Robert Baratheon's trueborn son. He almost declared for Stannis until the GreatJon gave the 'Renly and Stannis have done nothing for me!' speech. If Stannis had given Robb what he wanted in vengeance against the Lannisters, and offered him peace, Robb would take it and kneel before him - that is the Stark way, since Torrhen Stark when he knelt to Aegon the Conqueror. Melisandre plays no role or influence in this.
      I think Stannis would have enough time to sort out his affairs in King's Landing before going to deal with Mance Rayder and even if he hadn't, he would just leave Alester Florent as his hand, Davos and Selsye to maintain the peace in King's Landing.
      Varys was in King's Landing at the time of the siege. If Stannis got his hands on him he likely would've killed him as he has said before he wanted to. If Varys had fled the city, then chances are he would've plotted against him too like Littlefinger would be. But Littlefinger and Varys are just too unpredictable to account for in the theoretical event that Stannis won the Blackwater. As for Olenna, I already said the Tyrells wouldn't bother fighting him and would just join forces with a Targaryen claimant.
      Where are you getting 100,000 Dothraki from? By this point in the books Daenerys has only just gained the Unsullied as her army, she has no Dothraki supporting her. After he dealt with Mance Rayder, Stannis would want to deal with Daenerys and as King, all the lords of Westeros would be obligated to support him. The Starks and Tullies are honourable enough not to break faith with their rightful King, and the Stormland lords at this point already declared for Stannis, so I see no reason why they wouldn't help Stannis kill Daenerys.
      I don't think Renly was as loved in Westeros as you think. Only the lords of the Reach and Stormlands cared for him - the former only because he was their puppet and the latter ended up defecting to Stannis anyway.
      The Martells would continue plotting and scheming against the Lannisters and Baratheons as they have done in the books. Doran doesn't want to engage in war until Quentyn comes home with Daenerys, which obviously won't be happening anytime soon. He's sent Arianne to confirm whether or not fAegon is legit, but honestly I can see a conflict of interests happening - if Doran finds out Quentyn is dead because of Dany, he'll give up on the Targaryens, who have been a curse for his family. In the current books, I think he might end up supporting Myrcella as Queen with Trystane as King when Tommen dies first. All in all, I can't see Doran's support for the Targaryens remaining once he realises just how much he's lost for them.
      Stannis killed Renly because he declared himself King when he had no lawful right - he was an usurper. In the eyes of the lords of Westeros, they will understand that, and Stannis himself had no personal involvement in Renly's death so he can use that as his saving grace.
      Stannis would face rebellion from the Westerlands immediately, then later on from the Reach and Dorne when the Targaryens return. But I think, with the support of the North, Riverlands, Stormlands, Stannis would be able to hold his own and then eventually at least either the Reach or Dorne would turn to his side when the truth about fAegon comes out and Westeros realises Daenerys is just like her mad father.

    • @stannisthemannis7370
      @stannisthemannis7370 7 лет назад +26

      The Tyrells haven't 'signed' a deal with the Lannisters, they aren't bound to the Lannisters in writing or anything like that. I recognise that the Tyrells wouldn't want to allow Stannis to be King as he would want to remove them from being Wardens of the South, but there are others vying for the throne except for the Lannisters - fAegon and Daenerys for two. Considering Joffrey and Tommen would be presumed dead in this hypothetical scenario, the Tyrells would be more likely to support a Targaryen who they could marry into and would have more military support than the Lannisters, who have already suffered greatly fighting the Starks and have just lost both Casterly Rock and King's Landing in this scenario.
      Mace would never try to usurp the throne because 1.) He isn't smart or ambitious enough and 2.) He knows he would just be painting a target on his back for all the other lords of Westeros - the Starks, the Lannisters, Stannis, fAegon and Daenerys - to go to war with his family. He knows its far more lucrative to marry into and support the stronger family with a legitimate claim to the Iron Throne rather than be usurpers.
      They stood against Robert because he was an usurper who they felt at first had no real chance of winning. At the start of the rebellion, only the North, Stormlands and Vale rose up in rebellion. Against them were Dorne and King's Landing. The Tyrells supported the Targaryens because they owed everything to the Targaryens who gave them Highgarden in the first place, not because they thought they could try to gain political power further.
      What would the Tyrells have to gain by marrying a Lannister? Tyrion is a dwarf and wouldn't give good children, Jaime is in the Kingsguard, the Tyrells later turned down marrying Cersei and inheriting Casterly Rock anyway (Which was a tad stupid on their part) and after them the rest of the Lannisters didn't stand to inherit anything of worth.
      I recognise that the Tyrells would obviously have a lot to lose if Stannis won, but honestly in this hypothetical scenario I can't see Stannis holding the city and the Iron Throne anyway if he took it because the Lannisters would eventually arrive and he doesn't have the numbers to fight against them. So the Tyrells wouldn't be immediately threatened, and when they later would be once the Lannister power is further diminished, fAegon/Daenerys would've arrived in time.
      He didn't really care about independence, he just wanted to gain vengeance against the Lannisters and to prove himself to his bannermen. If he had known of the Lannister incest before the war even began, he would've declared for Stannis because of his honour and he knew tactically it would be far more beneficial.
      Yes I did watch the series and read the books they are based on, he gave those terms AFTER he was declared King in the North. Do you really think he could just not force those terms after his bannermen forced the crown on his head? Once the Greatjon gave his speech Robb had no choice but to accept otherwise they would've turned on him.
      Its not a completely different situation as, regardless of dragons, Robb would've still been completely outnumbered.
      If you're also going to judge all of this just on the show and not from the books, this argument is going to be really one-sided and not as well informative as the showrunners are incredibly biased against Stannis and omit a lot of key plot detail from the books.
      'dany is unassailable except by secret assassin.
      as far as stannis knows, she has no ships. she has no claim. and is thus no real threat.
      ned said even if dany got 40 000 dothraki, it doesnt matter cos they dont like water and have no boats.
      stannis advisors would be like "um fuck you. you want to kill a girl who did nothing" and leave.
      the dragon thing is mere rumor. only varys and tyrion knew pre blackwater.'
      Stannis recognises that the Targaryens at least 'believe' they have a claim, and if he had heard she had dragons and a growing army under her command, he would've done something. Robert wanted to kill her after all, as did Stannis when he later admitted in Clash of Kings he wanted to kill Daenerys before she became more dangerous. Ned was a stubborn old fool who just didn't want to have to kill Daenerys because she was a young girl who had done no wrong. Also 'Stannis advisors' like Melisandre who actively encouraged him to burn his bastard nephew alive to appease a God? I'm sure, considering Robert's Small Council did as well, Stannis' advisors (some of who support R'hllor) would've encouraged him to kill Dany too.
      Stannis also wouldn't take chance on rumours. He was prepared to remain at the wall and help support the fight against the White Walkers, even though he had no proof that they had returned. He wouldn't take a chance on Daenerys not having Dragons if so many people in Essos said she did, just like the Night's Watch repeatedly saying the white walkers had returned.
      Tywin didn't believe in the rumours simply because he was stubborn and a bit foolish. He didn't want to accept his children were sleeping together despite the obvious evidence of the rumours and even when Cersei confessed it to him, he didn't believe her.
      'there has to be a reason why EVERY SINGLE stormlord betrayed stannis for him.
      stannis is just a horrible choice for a lord. if they have a choice they wont go for him. '
      The Stormlords didn't 'betray' him in the first place. Renly was their liege lord, not Stannis, and they were bound to support him. Once Renly died, Stannis became the automatic rightful heir to Storm's End and the stormlords went over to support him.
      'actually in the eyes of most of westeros, blood doesnt matter.
      robert had no right.
      aegon had no right.'
      Robert - did - have a right. Aerys had gone mad and was burning Westerosi lords alive for no lawful reason, and Rhaegar had just kidnapped and supposedly raped another Westerosi lady. Robert had a legitimate claim to the throne because his grandmother was a Targaryen and so he had Targaryen blood, though he had to kill Aegon first to get it.
      fAegon does, if he is the real Aegon, has some right to the Iron Throne because he is Rhaegar's son and the legitimate heir.
      'power matters. armies and gold. and food. you cant rule a kingdom you've plunged into suffering and debt via war and are on top of everything else, horribly disliked and responsible for brutally sacking the capital city of the country. which turns most of the continent against him.
      no one wants to be on a losing side.'
      I wouldn't really say it was Stannis who 'plunged' the realm into suffering and debt - Littlefinger did that when he got the throne massively in debt to the Lannisters and Iron Bank, and then killed Jon Arryn and sparked a war between the Starks and Lannisters. Stannis is someone who is trying to end the war and restore peace among all seven kingdoms.
      Also despite sacking King's Landing at the end of Robert's Rebellion, Tywin became the Hand again for Joffrey, and upon his arrival in the city, all the riots stopped and he was proclaimed 'the savior of the city,' so some people can rule a kingdom after brutally sacking a city.
      The peasants of Westeros will end up on whatever side survives in the end, which in this hypothetical scenario would be Stannis. They have no real influence or power over who ends up sitting the throne in the end or whether or not they're rightful claimants - most peasants in King's Landing knew Joffrey was a Lannister bastard, yet did they rise up against him? Not really in the end. They just stood by and let the High lords play their games.

      Plot hole in this is that Stannis will hold on to KL vs Tywin. He had enought men to mount a good deffence vs tywin`s 30k army. And not to mention Robb wasnt that far away. So Tywin will siege the City but then Robb atacks him from behind and Stannis leads his army out to pincer the lannister forces. Complete victory !

      Knowing how Littlefinger wants chaos, Arya would follow the same kind of path like Sansa. First getting married to a Lannister, then escapes Kings Landing and have to marry Ramsay! Now, Arya and Ramsay would be awesome! I'm sorry to say, but Sansa is like, a victim. Arya on the other hand would kill Ramsay.

      2) When Joffrey show Arya his father's head, Arya jumps at him and throw him down.
      The Mountain is fast, but not so fast.
      1) The Hound dies. Arya is captured and kept alive in secret to marry Ramsay.
      If they are able to force her to marry Ramsay in any way, she just kills him or is killed by him.
      3) It doesn't matter. What matter is Jon must die before to be able to leave the Night's Watch with honor.
      3a) Do you intend they discover the parentage (Targaryen) and do not name him King in the North because he is not Ned Stark son? They would have claimed him King of The Seven Kingdoms (he has precedence over Dany).

    What's extremely unfortunate is that this is how the story actually should've gone. The only reason the Lannister's won was plot armor. The main Lannister Force and the Tyrell force realistically wouldn't arrive at this point. Joffrey caused the North to go to War with them which is why the main force went north to begin with.
    In the show people said that once Stannis Attacks Kings Landing would fall within an hour. The chances of the Lannister's arriving is EXTREMELY unlikely! This situation is what likely would've happened and what should have happened.

Varys knows all the secret tunnels and he also gets out and meets up with Tyrion. Then Tyrion, Pod, and Varys travel to Essos and meet up with Danny. Everything else probably happens as you said though.

  • @bluryfilms

    my personal theory on how it would play out:
    stannis wins the black water bay, (number of factors go into this, maybe stannis brings the red lady who makes bronn's fire arrow go out before it can ignite the wild fire, but one way or another, stannis lands and storms the beaches, bronn immediately nopes out because he's a survivor only looking out for himself, he might give a regretful last look to where tyrion is before peacing out for good, but he's not the type of guy to stick around a fight he knows he will lose, regardless of the reward
    stannis' forces overwhelm tyrions last stand and either both tyrion and podric are taken into custody or pordick is killed as he valiantly tries to defend his lord and friend. either way, stannis breaks into the city, and with tyrion's leadership being the only thing still holding moral together, order within the lannister ranks falls apart.
    in agreement with this video, cersie kills tommen to ensure he does not suffer as this utterly destroys cersie to the point she gives up on life, either willingly surrendering or even taking her own life just from her own sorrow, illan payne maybe dies while fighting with the last defenders of the city and cannot ensure his order to kill the other women, or i could see he attempts to, but only manages to cut down a few before baratheon soldiers catch up and kill him before he gets to sansa.
    joffery is pulled squealing and and crying out from under his bed by his ankles when baratheon soldiers storm the red keep and search each room to find him, which they eventually do.
    the forces sabdue the city just in time as Tywin arrives with reinforcements, only to find the gates locked and baratheon archers manning the walls, causing tywin to retreat in anger due to not having siege equipment at the immediate ready.
    during this time, joffery is brought shrieking, swearing, threatening and pleading the whole way to stannis, who in his disgust orders the boy's immediate execution (not fully sure if Stannis would have it in him to behead someone so pathetic, as though he is a man of honor, he has shown little interest in being the man who swings the sword after passing the sentence (not really his style) just know, joffery would 100% die, though i don't think burning, as stannis would want to set an example for tywin who would see baratheon soldiers mounting joffery's severed head on the wall...this would more than likely lead to tywin demanding a truce in order to try and save cersie if she is still alive, depending on whether or not she killed herself? 2 scenarios play out.
    in the event cersie died, her head gets mounted up next to joffery's, stannis flips into a rage and orders an all out attack on the city, however stannis' men are bloodied and battle hardened at the moment more than the lannister or tyrell soldiers at the given moment and inflict massive casualties on them before the retreat is called as the defenders have plenty of troops plus the advantage of high walls. tywin is eventually forced to accept reality, as he is a practical man who does not like to be out of control and given his situation, there is no point in attacking further and withdraws, in that even the tyrells almost certainly abandon the lannister army as they are now fighting a 2 front war with robb winning the northern campaign south and stannis claiming the iron throne who just pushed back tywin at his strongest.
    scenario 2. stannis meets with tywin who keeps in mind that he still has tyrion and cersie in custody, as he knows tywins protectiveness for his family, even ones he basically despises...
    tywin is reluctant, but negotiates his surrender if he is assured his children are spared, however stannis, being a man of honor, is willing to release tyrion however cersie's actions lead to ned starks wrongful execution and he would seek to enact rightful punishment on her, however, if she most likely confessed to her incest with jamie, he would allow her to be exiled from the lands so long as tywin agreed not to attack, this would be a hard deal struck but tywin is practical enough to prefer his childs life over their execution.
    essentially, in either situation, if Stannis takes the city before tywin arrives, he is set up in too powerful of a position to be attacked, the lannisters and tyrells eventually surrender in order to ensure tywins remaining children are spared, however more than likely, tywin is expected to take the black at the nights watch so that either jamie or tyrion take his position at casterly rock.
    this would subsequently end the war between the lannisters and the starks, as their best commander is no longer involved in the war, and the remaining members are too weak willed to go as far as tywin in order to win the fight.
    robb would eventually be summoned to kings landing, however given recent history, robb arrives in full force and refuses to enter the city for ANY reason, understandably.
    stannis would acknowledge this and ride out to meet him with Davos, where the 2 kings butt heads however a fairly reasonable deal would be struck, with Davos obviously being the voice of reason to settle everyone down. Robb could keep his crown and remain independent from the other 6 kingdoms, however he MUST surrender his first child to Stannis to be treated as a ward of his care, in return Sansa would be returned to her family and a thorough search for arya would ensue as well (though i imagine as soon as word reached arya, the brotherhood without banners would see to her safe return)
    robb would be reluctant, but catlyn would speak some sense in the matter and remind robb that his father died to acknowledge stannis' legitimate claim and that his child would be as safe as he would be in winterfell in Stannis' care...a reluctant agreement would be made and the parties would go their separate ways.

    I'd just like to add the threat of having Melisandre in a position to influence the iron throne, before the battle Varys was worried that he might win and said "For a man in service to such powers to sit on the iron throne, I can think of nothing worse" which could of course just be his own personal fears of magic/R'hllor/The voice in the flames that he heard but i think it's worth keeping in mind
    Also i'd love to see a video on "What if stannis abandoned the religion of the lord of light", because it seems that it caused both good and bad for him with R'hllor supposedly killing Robb Stark, Joffrey and Balon Greyjoy, but it also seemed to turn a lot of people against him due to fear of it (Varys might have supported him if he didn't follow the religion etc)

      Tywin doesn't go in the Westernland and Robb doesn't defeat him there (maybe). The mess with the Kastark would probably happen anyway. If Tywin survives they could get the Red Wedding anyway.
      With Tywin locked in the Western lands, Stannis could win in King's Landing (but if the Tyrell showed anyway but later he could be trapped in the city and his army destroyed anyway as for Melisandre vision).
      The big problem would be Tywin never arriving in Harrenhal and saving Arya and Gendry before Jaqen H'gar showed up. Arya would be discovered, raped and probably returned to King's Landing.
      But without Gendry alive Melisandre could not do his blood magic to get Robb, Joffrey and the Greyjoy dead.
      If Arya died or was discovered in Harrenhall she would not start her changing from a mouse to a killer. Maybe Jaqen would have saved her when she would be shipped to King's Landing. But the emotional dynamics would be completely different.
      Depending on what would happen on King's Landing, Stannis or the Tyrell would have a very depleted army (and a lot of money to give back to the Iron Bank of Braavos) or no army at all. The Stark would be with half of their army in no condition to attack the Lannister (good luck - taking Castely Rock is more difficult than taking The Eerie).
      The best way to solve the succession problem and decide who sit on the Iron Throne is just to ask the candidates:
      "Who pay the Iron Bank"?
      Let see how fast the run when they see the bill.

      Mirco Romanato the main story it effects is kings landing. there would've been changes in the north/ riverlands sorry too, but if tywin was defeated he'd most likely go out in battle or be stranded in near by villages. he wouldn't appear in a while and may have arrived anywhere to use his power (casterly rock etc) after Robs wedding. but stannis would've been the pressing issue anyway, what with wiping out cersei, tommen, tyrion, as well as the Tyrells. not death necessarily, but the reach would likely abandon tywin since they didn't like him anyway. but he'd try to kill stannis first

    Stannis wasn't the funniest character, but he was truly righteous, fair, strong and intelligent. He was first to enter the frey with among his soldiers in battle and the last one to eat after making sure his wife and soldiers had been fed during the siege of storms end. All hail Stannis Baratheon!

    I know Cersei was going to give Tommen a painless death anyway, but I'm not sure if Stannis would have killed him or not. I guess it depends whether or not someone found Davos and brought him to shore before Tommen was killed. I'm pretty sure Davos would strongly advise against killing Tommen. That being said, if they let him live and Melissandre found out, who knows what she might have wanted to do with him.

      Now that I think of it, Melissandre probably wouldn't touch Tommen. Stannis' entire claim to the thrown is based on the correct belief that all of Cersei's kids are not Robert's. Therefore Melissandre would have no interest in Tommen as he wouldn't have any king's blood.

    Dany is about to get ****ed up anyway so no big loss there. No way does she get to Westeros with her army, the show would get very boring if that was to happen. However now she is at sea, with most of her army being scared to death of the sea, and much of her remaining army probably having training in it... but not much skill... and she herself has next to no skill with naval combat (Tyrion too unless you count blowing ships up with dragon fire). And she's about to go up against Euron Greyjoy, a master of naval combat and all the ships he can muster and possibly the ability to command at least one dragon. Needless to say... I don't see this going Dany's way. Obviously she escapes, we have seen enough to know that she makes it to land, but I don't think her forces will be in very good shape when she gets there.

    • @TheSoullessTrenchCoat
      @TheSoullessTrenchCoat 7 лет назад +2

      That sounds about right.

    • @TheBattProductions
      @TheBattProductions  7 лет назад

      Well she has a monstrous army, and much of the army is already in Westeros (Martells/Tyrells). I think there's a ships battle with the Greyjoys, which will be epic, but the only thing that can REALLY stop her is if Euron has a certain trick up his sleeve with the horn. That's the only way I can see the show being interesting (if a dragon or two is taken from Dany).
      I think it'll go Dany's way in that she'll win, but it'll be super hard. So hard that it probably won't even matter by the time she gets the Throne.

    • @endersdragon34
      @endersdragon34 7 лет назад +4

      Dragons are really her only hope in the battle. She has a really strong army, but doesn't have a really strong navy as most of her ships seem to be transport ships, and she doesn't have people used to naval combat commanding said ships (the Unsullied don't seem to have naval training, and the Dothraki are scared of salt water). Keep in mind Euron destroyed an entire fleet before, I don't think he would hesitate to do it again. It's the best navy in the world against one of the weakest, if Euron takes dragons out of the equation by any means... Dany doesn't stand a chance.

    • @TheBattProductions
      @TheBattProductions  7 лет назад

      Bryan G Obviously I don't know exactly who was donated by the Tyrells/Martells, but their ships undoubtedly have soldiers who are experienced sailors. Not on par with the Greyjoys of course, but Dany does have Yara on his side to lead the attack. She's not as good as Euron, but she's probably 2nd best.
      I wouldn't call her navy weak since it has a ton of ships now; it's just inexperienced, but there really isn't any house that can beat the Greyjoys in a pure naval battle when they're at full-force (actually, above full-force since Euron ordered them to make 1,000 ships).
      It'll be interesting for sure. She'll lose a lot on the sea, but I don't think he naval force is going to be anything to sneer at.

    • @endersdragon34
      @endersdragon34 7 лет назад

      TheBattProductions
      Correctly me if I am wrong, but in the books haven't the Greyjoys been harrassing the Tyrell ships for a while now and would make their force considerably weaker? I think the biggest reason much of her force doesn't make it to shore though is because it would be a pretty boring season if it did.

    My vision is a little diferent.
    1- Ilye Payne would problably kill Sansa as Cersei commanded. if she is able to escape then I can see a alliance beteween Robb and Stannis, if not then forget it. The north is winning his battles, they hate the IT, they don't have any reason to give up their independence.
    2-Tywin coulld still try to claim the throne for Myrcella, so no alliance with the tyrells since she is already betrothal with Tristan, this could change the alliance system to Lannister/Martells vs Starks/Tully vs Baratheon. (in the books this would be totally diferent Dorne would never make a alliance with the Lannisters, Myrcella would lose her head). There is no King for Margery, Loras may be bethotral to Shereen, but wit GreyScale, the tyrells sideing against him 2 times already and the religion diference betewen then I do not see this happening.
    3-I not sure if the RW is really of the table, because Tywin is still alive, Balon still invades the north, and Robb still fucked his deal with the Frey, but at the same time Tywin is very screwed, Robb beat his ass again and again, he lost KL, his heirs are dead or in prison, , he has no money(in the show) he is in a week position surrounded by 2 armys, with low moral and there is no way to make sure that he can garantee the security for the RW being so weak, Stannis would never forgive that.
    4- if no RW then, Arya comes back to the Starks by the Hound, Ramsey do not burn WF and Theon Brienne and Jaime lose their heads. With the Lannisters responsable for Ned murderer dead, Robb can go back north, kick Balon ass and beat the shit out of the free folk and secure the north by keeping Moat Cattlin. Karstark would also keep his head since his sons are avenged. I do not see Jon dying here too, because the deal with the Free folk never happens, because Robb has no ships to rescue then from hardhome.
    4- If the RW still happen then Stannis is fucked up cause he has to fight against Lannisters, Martells, Boltons and Freys... He would never be able to help the NW being siege in KL so free folks raiding the north. The Tyrells may even join the fight against Stannis when the war has a cleary winner.
    5- Daennery would never see Jorah again, she may be killed in the arena or if Daario saves her to be later rescued by Drogon, Mereen would not have Tyrion to turn things calm again, that city would be a chaotic madness and her invasion of westeros would take even longer...if it happens.

    I think this is the best possible scenario. I think this would go down roughly like this: Stannis kills the Lannisters in King's Landing, captures Sansa and uses her to make Robb bend the knee. When that's done, he takes his forces and joins the Northern+ Riverlands army and invades the Westerlands. Their main beef was with the Lannisters anyway, so I don't think the northeners would mind. At this point the Tyrells would abandon the Lannisters and either join up in the invasion or just call their troops off. So basically, Tywin and the Lannisters are fucked and would have to surrender, but I just don't see Tywin doing that. So outnumbered and surrounded by enemies, the westermen and their possible ironborn/sellsword allies would put up a good fight, but the war would pretty much end in Lannisport being sacked and Casterly Rock being besieged. Robb is named the Warden of the North, Ed and the Tullys keep the Riverlands, Tywin eventually surrenders and gets executed, Kevan or possibly Jaime (depending on if they behead him as well) is the new Lord of Casterly Rock, Stannis is the new king and names Davos the Lord Protector of the Stormlands until he gets a second son to take over as Lord of Storm's End. Happy days!

      I personally think we need to wait a bit longer to see how this plays out now. I will give my best guess though XD. Probably KL would have moved closer to a conflict between the High Sparrow and Cersei. Some sorta conflict between the two would be inevitable. Not sure who the Tyrells would back. Dany would not be in as good of a spot, as she would probably only have Yara's Greyjoys, and possibly the Dornish, but not Tyrells. Still, the conflict between the Lannisters and the Faith might leave KL very weak, so that might be enough to take it. North would probably be unchanged for now.

    If he took the red keep tywin would've supported myrcella's claim. Now even if the Tyrells switched sides again, Tywin would rally Dorne, The North is eventually taken by the Boltons and taken out of the picture while The Eire stays neutral. Stannis with two kingdoms and the crownlands versus Tywin with two kingdoms and the riverlands, unless the Tyrells find out about Tommen and Joffrey being killed and mutiny, stannis could encircle the lannisters and capture tywin, and he wouldn't force him to bend the knee, this is stannis we're talking about, he'd cut off his head and wage war with whichever westlander didn't bend the knee

    Just found this, I believe you missed a huge thing if Stannis took over. Religious wars could break out as he forces The Lord of Light to be practiced all over westeros instead of the Faith of the Seven. Obviously the North would resist and keep the Old Gods but the change from FotS to LoL would be HUGE in the South. He could destroy the Sept of Baelor (in a more controlled way). Also believe you are wrong about the Tyrells, he would have branded them as a traitor twice and they would have been destroyed.

    More of a book thing, but the Tyrells wouldn't want Stannis to become king because his wife is a Florent, and the Florents believe they are the rightful owners of Highgarden. Losing to Stannis means they might very well lose their ancestral home, and they wouldn't be 'growing strong' if that happened.

    I just wish Stannis didn't consider Robb as an enemy... Robb didn't want the Iron Throne, just wanted his father and sisters back! I understand he also wanted The North to be independent but at the same time, I am certain than Davos could have convinced Stannis to treat and negotiate with Robb in regards to the North's independence. I mean... Robb's father was a supporter of Stannis and intended to hand the throne over to him.

    One thing I think would pose a problem to Stannis is the Faith of the Seven. Stannis, his family and his loyal bannermen all worship the Lord of Light, so maybe the High Septon would try rise in revolt against him? The same may go for other Lords who are against the Lord of Light. Perhaps Stannis would have to beat back a few religion-fuelled rebellions during the beginning of his reign

    This theory seems to forget one thing, even if stannis breaks through the defenses and takes the city, he would have had no time to rest and rebuild the defenses that he just shattered before the Lannister and Tyrell armies arrived and engaged him. That would be Tywins best chance to win (before the Tyrells had any chance to break the alliance) and he would have taken it. Both sides would take heavy casualties so neither would "win" in the end

    What would have been interesting to consider is what happens with the Brotherhood. In this case they're not hunting Lannisters down which seem to be their primary targets, and with Melisandre being in Stannis' court she could have brought Thoros and co back into the fold. The Brotherhood seemed to know what was going on with the White Walkers before anyone, even Melisandre, so they could have convinced Stannis to go north much sooner, solve the conflict with Mance and the Night's Watch and taken the fight to the Night King. Through all of this Bran likely wouldn't have been allowed to get out to meet the three eyed raven unless Meera and Jojen managed to sneak him out, which wouldn't have been easy.

    The thing about Stannis is that while he just, he's not very politcally savvy, and I don't see him forgiving the Tyrells for first siding with Renly and then with the Lannisters in order to make Margaery queen. Not to mention the fact that he already hated them for the Siege of Storm's End during Robert's Rebellion. Since his wife is a Florent, and the Florents have been contesting the Tyrells rule of Highgarden and the Reach since Aegon's Conquest, he would likely have the Tyrells attainted and name the Florents Lords of Highgarden and Paramount of the Reach. This would lead to Civil War in the Reach with some people siding with the Tyrells and some siding with the Florents. Stannis would absolutely have the Jaime and Cersei executed for treason and adultery; Cersei cuckolded his Robert and passed off her children as Robert's. He wouldn't even try to use them as bargaining chips against Tywin. The same for Pycelle, Varys, and Littlefinger, I don't think he would trust any of them. You point out in a few videos that a change is Tyrion's storyline means that he Jorah is not there in the fighting pits to protect Daenerys, but the reason why she banished him in the first place is because Tywin sent her evidence that he spied on her for Robert, leaving that storyline moot as well. The interesting thing is this is the Faith Militant. I believe that is one storyline would truly survive it would be the High Sparrow and they would take issue with Melisandre burning people alive for her god and there would be a rebellion on his hands. Stannis isn't big on compromise; he doesn't believe that he should have to negotiate with people who should obey him because he is king, so I can see him coming down hard on those who object to giving up their faith in favor of R'hllor. One way that Tywin could keep his alliance with the Tyrells and get revenge against Stannis is by denouncing Stannis as a tyrant who wants to destroy the Faith of the Seven and worship of the Old Gods, marrying Margaery, and claiming the Iron Throne for himself. That would be a pretty cool What if?
