- As one of China’s most renowned traditional forms of Kung Fu, with its specialty in edifying people’s temperament and building the body, Taijiquan, also known as Tai Chi boxing, appeared on China’s first list of its national intangible cultural heritage. It is not only a symbol of Eastern culture but also one of the most popular forms of martial arts in the world. So what exactly is it? The 11th-generation successor of Chen-style, Zhu Tiancai, gives his explanation. Zhu, 73 years old, has been a practitioner for over 60 years. #Reform&OpeningUp #TaiChi

Chen style is shaolin quan.
uniforce101 Please free to say your comments.
Yes, it is partially Shaolin quan influenced and it is the earliest form of Taijiquan on record.
The origin of Tai Chi comes from Chen Ja Gou of Chen family.
All the other of styles are deviations because without Yin Yang theory and Fajing power the other styles (Yang, Wu, Wo,Sun ) don't use and apply (all the forms have the same rythm slow).
The origin , authentic and real Tai Chi is Chen style.
All these styles have Yin and Yang theory as well as fajing. They just do not make it obvious.
@@anthonybalinga4472 You are right but why those styles : Yang, Wu Wo, Sun don't do it in their forms ?
The rythm is slow and no fa jing.
@@philong7920 That is for several reasons. The first being secrecy because even the gestures are unfinished and only the indoor students were shown how to finish them and how to apply them. This all went on until the cultural revolution. The second is the depth of subtle energy usage which is deeper in these ‘softer’ schools. There is a lot more physicality in the Chen school. It’s similar to the difference between Japanese and Chinese acupuncture today.More physicality in the Chinese schools than in the Japanese ones, usually. But all based on the same old texts and theories.
